Oh, what a splendid dive into the world of Dolphin Discovery! Prepare for disappointment, though – the promised 60-minute dolphin extravaganza is more of a breezy 30 minutes, but who's counting? The trainers, oh so generously, make up for it with their short and sweet friendliness. Now, let's talk about the pièce de résistance – the photo-taking shenanigans. Brace yourself for a financial plunge, as they are shamelessly adept at draining your pockets. Forget about an enriching experience; it's more about their lucrative photo business. With roughly four groups per session, your quality time with the dolphins is reduced to a symphony of "look here" and "look there." Blink, and you might miss the entire dolphin encounter. And the comedic twist? We unknowingly participated in a photo prank! The "look over here" and "look over there" charade would have been hilarious if we hadn't paid a small fortune for it. But wait, there's more – the cheapest photo, encased in a plastic frame that's practically a steal at $79! The shots, taken by a so-called professional camera, looked like an amateur's first attempt. Even my nephew, armed with an iPhone, could probably do better. When we dared to request edits and reprints, the service staff gifted us with a classic side-eye. For a budget-friendly alternative to this aquatic comedy, I'd suggest the shark encounter or the ray encounter. These hidden gems offer a superior experience, likely because they haven't discovered the art of exploiting customers. The identical photo, same tacky plastic frame, this time with rays, is a mere $35 – what a steal! In conclusion, if you enjoy being taken for a financial swim, this dolphin encounter is your ticket. Otherwise, save your money and seek out a less exploitative dolphin rendezvous elsewhere.

This is an experience that everyone should try at least once! I’m so blown away at how smart and playful the dolphins are. Each one of them were cared for meticulously and you could really see the connection between the dolphin and trainers. I only wished that they didn’t charge so much for the professional photos. It costs about $180 for some printouts and digital copies of the photos. There’s a cheaper package that includes some printouts but no digital copies.

The overall experience was great, watching the dolphins do various tricks and allowing us to pet him, hug him and kiss him. The actual duration is about 30 minutes at most and you feel a bit rushed by the staff. The price for the dolphin experience is OK, however the price for the photos is outrageous, 200$ for 2 printed photos (includes all digital photos), a money grab scam. Also the quality of the photos is mediocre at best, taken by an amateur and they also apply an annoying and ugly effect on the photos making them oversaturated.

I did the dolphin adventure, which was an awesome experience. The trainer was really nice and well knowledgeable. You aren’t allowed to take your own photos, which is fair given that we were in the water for almost the entire time. In lieu of this they have a ‘professional’ photographer there taking photos and videos of your experience - which I am absolutely for as the photos usually turn out higher quality. I have no issues paying a little bit extra to purchase these photos… Spoiler alert, the photos cost more than the experience. The cheapest photo package was a single print for $80, however if you want any digital copies (it’s 2023, we all do) it’s $198. Now, not only does it cost half a kidney to purchase this… the photos are awful quality. Extremely over saturated and poorly taken. A 3 year old with an iPhone could take a nicer photo. Whilst I obviously purchased photos of the experience, I am absolutely outraged by the cost and it has honestly ruined what would have been an amazing experience. Bonus deduction for having the photographer follow me to my locker and demand I make my $198 payment before I shower.

The Dolphin Discovery was a really fun family experience but an expensive package AND, worse, the only 3 photo souvenir packages (which you need to get if you want to capture the moment because they don't allow phones or cameras) are quite expensive (about an additional $100-300). Disappointed that the photos cost so much and they don't tell you about this extra until the very end. Feel duped.

If you planned to visit Dolphins Island please spare another $200 because you can't bring your phone inside so there will be a photographer gonna take your pictures and video and they going to hard sell your photo. Please don't blame the photographers as they had no choice because their company pressured them to sell the photos. Honestly it wasn't a pleasant experience, The dolphins really trained hard to entertain you people honestly I feel pity towards the dolphins..

Dolphin Island at Resorts World Sentosa in November 2023 was such a joyous experience for our 18-month-old, wife, and I 🐬 For our little one to safely meet and gently stroke the dolphin (we were paired with Nikko) on cue from the trainer, it was a moment to remember for a lifetime. Ideally we would have loved to dive in for the full experience but the Dolphin Encounter was the only option for our young boy. Nevertheless, I myself have never had the opportunity to get so up close with a dolphin before so this was all so special. Thanks dolphin trainer Jen Chai for facilitating this safe and fun encounter! 🙏🏻 The staff know all the individual dolphins so well and we saw that the dolphins were very well taken care of. We really appreciate all Dolphin Island does for the dolphins and also visitors. Do be prepared to pay a sum for the professional photos and videos, as you are not allowed to bring your own phone or camera in for safety reasons (you will likely get wet even for the encounter). There are also two different ticket entires (you must book a slot in advance): one via Adventure Cove and the other via SEA Aquarium, we chose the latter which was a wonderful experience for the family too. Highly recommended!

The show was superb. The Dolphin was extremely friendly and cooperative. However, the photographer of the Dolphin island takes pictures terribly. Like I don’t mind supporting the Dolphin programme or even paying to see the Dolphin. However, it’s painful to pay a programme with Terrible photography. They SHOULD HAVE TRAINED PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS

Animal cruelty!! Took the cable car to Sentosa and could see down to the Adventure Cove. I was really saddened and disturbed to see the dolphins swimming round and round in in really small and sad looking concrete pools. Imagine being confined to a small room for the rest of your life.. Please do not support this cruel cruel “attraction”. Animals in this type of confinement should be banned by now.

Horrible website experience- maybe their server cannot handle summer incoming traffic, but website crashed 5 or 6 times just trying to by tickets online. Also the descriptions are horrible and not very clear- they have all these options that are not well defined or described and if you chose VIP, it is less than VIP... as you spend 3 1/2 hours and do not even get to go in the water with the Dolphins/ Dolphins in water experience was great, but too short and too tightly scripted. We had minimal time in the water with the dolphins and maximum time with the sales team trying to push expensive and poorly snapped photos. $200 for 2 photos and low resolution soft copies on a memory stick!?! And the photo quality was just not good- maybe 15 pics to chose from with my daughter and I... but their were shots of the side of my head, shots with only me or only my daughter visible. Just seems they push to make money and really do not care about client experience.

The team yesterday were incredibly knowledgeable, very charismatic and clearly passionate about the dolphins. This was conveyed very well within the briefing and debriefing periods both before and after meeting the dolphins. Ester - our main guide - ensured everyone knew how to calmly and respectfully act around these beautifully majestic animals, whilst JY - the trainer who was taking my family group into the water - was absolutely fantastic with her knowledge about dolphins. As an ex-zoo keeper, the kind of knowledge, respect, adoration and passion for these animals was very heart warming and something that is always incredible to see within the animal husbandry world! Highly rate this as a day trip when visiting Singapore, I'm even looking to visit again before flying back home to the UK! ** Apologies to the team if I'm misremembering names

The only way to enter dolphin island is to purchase the adventure cove waterpark ticket. Lockers are free here. Price for dolphin observer : 20sgd, dolphin encounter : 35sgd and dolphin discovery : 90sgd. I went for the dolphin encounter and it feels like a once in a lifetime experience. Had the trainer and dolphin to myself since no one else was there. I was given a yoga mat to lie on at the side of the pool with an umbrella for shade. A trainer will be there to guide you, teach you tricks for the dolphin to perform and answer any questions you have. You'll be able to ask the dolphin to wave, make bird/duck/motorcycle noises through their blowhole and touch their side and tail etc. Can't give too much away,do experience it for yourselves.

VERY DISAPPOINTED Visited dolphins island 10yrs ago and went to dolphin discovery program and it was amazing. This time i went with my kids because i wanted them to have same experience. It was very disappointing. So many people we didn’t do as much with dolphins as 10yrs ago. Sadly it changed to money machine. Amazing experience is gone PHOTOS - RIP OFF

My husband and I brought his nieces (6 & 7 year olds) for Dolphin Discovery over the school holidays. I don’t recommend bringing children here, read on for my thoughts and experience.. Pros: We got to interact, touch and mimic some hand gestures for the dolphins to follow. Dolphins were very well trained and my nieces had a great time looking and touching them up close, as well as learning all the facts. Wet suits provided helped with the super cold water (i reckon water would be much colder without the wet suits) Cons: There seems to be a lack of structure between trainers and the overall programme. We actually came with 4 adults, 2 children and 1 infant. So we got 2 adult + 2 children doing Dolphin Discovery and 2 adult + 1 infant doing Dolphin Encounter. I was told over an email that both programmes will be conducted at separate areas so we had to split. On that day, our trainer told the other trainer that “she could have done a combo” with our entire family. Ended up had to do the programme separately due to the miscomm between trainers. The trainer we were assigned to was, no doubt, knowledgeable (about Dolphins only) but terribly rude and impatient towards us. Prior to going down the water, during the briefing, we were told that “our trainer will inform us if we need the life jacket for the kids” so we didn’t ask. Before we went down the water, i asked our trainer if we could get life jackets for the girls and she said “you could have asked earlier after the briefing” to which i repeated what the briefing instructor told us and she said “oh nvm we go into the water first and see how it goes” Our girls were shivering cold in the water and our trainer kept rushing them to stand properly and repeatedly said “against the water, feet on the floor”; as if we were deaf and seemed very impatient and didn’t want to wait for the girls to get adapted to the water. One conversation we had was very unpleasant, when I asked her if they intervened when the dolphins fight, she said no and threw the question back to me, asking if I intervene when the girls fought. I replied “sometimes”, to which she responded “oh we don’t intervene when the dolphins fight because it’s a natural occurrence. Like when children fight and adults intervene, they think they get care and attention when they fight and that’s why they will fight more” i was appalled by her response as i did not expect a parenting 101 guidance during my Dolphin session. To which i said “oh girls, i need to treat the both of you like dolphins next time, so when you fight, i am not going to stop it ok” Through this exchange, i experienced the sheer lack of professionalism and respect and i would never recommend anyone to have this instructor ever. After the experience, we were told to return our wet suits, and we did so, the photographer then ushered us to see the photos for us to purchase, while a dolphin staff came to tell us to go back for debrief. We were terribly confused on how we could be in two places at once. Feedback on improvement: train the staff to uphold some basic communication skills (possibly parenting courses on what NOT to say in inappropriate circumstances), have a structure on where the guests are actually supposed to go. Concluding my very long feedback, i will NOT go back again. Not worth the money. Ps, photo quality was terrible with their “bulky” cameras, a smartphone could take better photos. Couldn’t see faces when you zoom in the picture .

Dropped my ticket somewhere but had the receipt and the staff needed me to go back to the entrance to reprint the ticket. Very inflexible as I was with a three year old child. Experience with the dolphin was good but the photos they charged are over expensive.

Overall a fantastic experience, totally worth the money! But only book Dolphin Encounter (cheapest one), the others are rip offs. Note - cameras are not allowed and if you want a photo, be ready to fork out sgd 120-200 above and beyond your ticket. They give very flimsy excuses for phones not being allowed.

Went there with my wife to celebrate my birthday on 28/8. The Trainers are sincere and helpful on guiding us to experience the Dolphin Discovery journey. It was fun and wonderful to get a closer touch with the Dolphin there. Hope to go back there again in the near future. Thanks!

This is the biggest rip off I have been subject to for a long time. Only one dolphin would be close to you and with the group for 20 minutes , where half of the time is spent taking pictures of you to sell on exit at an extremely high cost 278 $ for the gold package, this is after paying a further 270 to get in the pool with just one dolphin.. UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW MONEY AWAY , AVOID THIS SCAM. Your banned from taking your mobile phone to prevent you from taking your own photos and videos.

Amazing experience of interacting with Dolphin. Its once in lifetime. You can plan this together with Sea Aquarium. This event is for 30 mins. You get to touch, interact and command dolphins. You are not allowed to take pictures so your cell phone and camera not allowed by any means. They will rake pictures with for you and sell it for around SGD 80 for two.

Ticket counter was verbally abusive for 45 mins on counter about terms and condition written on website. We bought dolpine tickets 2 days in advance and they refused to validate tickets for my 4 year old old. Very bad experience. Will never come back again.

They don’t allow phones to loot you later with 150 to 200 dollars for 1 or 2 photos with the dolphins. Also they rush up with the experience. Even though the encounter experience was of 15 mins. They divide the encounter time between the different families so hardly got any good experience and felt this was a money looting scam.

The best experience as we took the the discovery package where u can swim and interact with the dolphins for 30 minutes. Only catch here is they don’t let you bring your own camera or even phone as they charge an exorbitant cost for the photos where u r forced to buy as u don’t have any memories of it. Seems to be more like a nexus between the parks management and the photography company.

Bad experience, the staff were rude. Cell phone is not allowed through our seats are a distance from the dolphins. They have a photographer walking around taking our pictures without our knowledge & offer at $150 for 2 pictures. Too much! We selected the best option at $173 per tix for an hour show but only 30 minutes show.

JOYNME at Dolphin Island in Sentosa for a close up swim with dolphins 🐬 We had an amazing time swimming with dolphins here. When you purchase the ticket to swim with dolphins you'll also get a free pass to Adventure Cove which is a waterpark with lots of sliders! It is a perfect half day or all day activities on a sunny day 😎

Awesome experience, which i would do 100 times again although the Photo prices are so ridiculous its actually like getting robbed!! Nearly $300 AUD for a couple of photos & some more on a memory stick. All the photos are the same!! Really, really disappointing after paying so much for the actual experience.

My fault for not seeing the fine print on the ticketing website that you need a one day adventure cove ticket in order to enter. But we had no time for adventure cove on that day (last day of staycation and everyone is tired plus son is too young to enjoy it fully) so we just wasted our 35 dolphin encounter ticket 🙄

Embarking on a marine adventure with my daughter was enchanting. The captivating dolphin show left us in awe, blending education with entertainment. The attentive staff added to the memorable experience, making it a perfect family outing that seamlessly combined fun and marine conservation awareness.
