Interesting to see history from Belgium and before. Dates back to 1200 and something and you can visit all the towers and room for a fee

One of the few castles in Belgium in such a good condition. It is amazing that it is placed so near to the town and very convenient. Not so crowded. The man at the reception is willing to help you with the solution of the game 'Crack the code'. You can visit it with a stroller but you can accessonly the ground floor with this. If you visit all the floors you can take perfect shots of the view.

It has the potential for a nice visit. However the hygiene conditions of the castle are not entirely perfect. During our visit we found a lot of bird dung inside the structure, and even some dead pigeons inside the tower. The ticket costs 3 euro for adults, and 1 for kids.

I've taken my kids to this wonderful castle twice, seven years apart and it's still great. Not a lot of learning, but exploration to the max. The kids will love exploring every nook and cranny. It's a simple walk from the train stop, but you have to make a transfer in Halle, if you're coming from Brussels.

A fairytale castle. 🏰 For only 4€/person you can be transposed into another world. I truly enjoyed the scenery and also the impressive magnitude of the castle. You can also visit the towers and let your imagination run wild with every step you take. At least for me, it was like every single brick had a story to tell. 👑📜

What a beautiful place with easy access. The renovations are well executed and protecting most of te castle. Fun games for the kids all around the castle as well. We managed to climb into the highest point of one of the towers. And to top if off there's even a Suske and Wiske comic strip book about the treasure of Kasteel van Beersel.

Great moated castle. Not completely restored but that adds to the character. Nice place to visit.

Interesting visit, beautifully maintained inside of the walls. (The park around the moats could use a bit of polishing). Cool that you can walk on the walls and climb to the roof of the towers to have a beautiful view. 4€/adult

Interesting to go see, but they do not provide you with much historical information, but you do get to explore on you're own. You're even allowed to climb up into the towers. All info provided is details as to what the rooms were used for. But still a neat place to visit.

Lovelly place for a walk. Much effort has been put by locals into cherishing its historical value so that we all can appreciate it. Thank you, in particular for the archaeological exhibit and children's puzzles, well done. Keep up with the good work.

Worth going but, very dirty inside. Pigeon waste everywhere. Birds are nesting in the ruins. Beautiful property. Hand sanitizer! Wipes!

Very well preserved castle ruin in beautiful shape. All three towers can be explored (watch for bird scat as you ascend) with great views of the moat and village beyond. 📺 @destinationeverywhere 👍 @comeseeitall 🎵 @we_explore_everywhere 📷 @we.explore.everywhere

Currently under restauration, cleaning of the pond should take a little time, but than it will be awesome again to see. Open during the day, just a few photo spots on the outside fence.

This is a beautifully restored castle and more than well worth a visit. Also, good food and drinks available in the nearby Brasserie. The restoration work done here is amazing

We drove past on a Monday , it's only open Tuesday to Friday so didn't get to go in and see it upclose unfortunately. It looked nice but all fenced in so couldn't see properly. Easy to get to.
