Pros: good location 10 mins from the centre, on a roundabout with some pleasant bars and restaurants nearby. The room itself was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and the coffee machine and free beer are a nice touch. The cancellation policy is also very flexible. You can store your luggage in lockers in the basement. The aircon and WiFi work well. Cons: because it is a hotel without staff, they are unable or unwilling to resolve problems. My room had not been cleaned properly prior to my arrival: there was hair all over the carpet and a toothpaste stain on the desk. The contact via email described these problems as 'details' and refused to provide me with another room or have the room properly cleaned that evening. The room was hoovered the next day but forcing a guest to stay in a dirty room is clearly unacceptable. The room also had a slightly shabby feel, with a stain on the armchair and marks and stains on the wall, carpet, and wardrobe.

BEWARE!!! This is simply a room for rent in a building. No services provided what so ever. Toilet paper was not provided for almost 2 days! Without a single person on hand and what seemed like robotic responses through whatsapp, 36 hours after check-in, they asked me to invade a vacant room and steal the toilet paper from there. No cleaning services are provided, and the room that I was assigned barley qualified as clean. I didn't see it beneficial to PAY for their cleaning service to intrude and do the bare minimum again. The "laundry room" and lockers in the basement are overtaken by bugs and mosquitoes! The bugs must be attracted to the atrocious smell of standing water and mold, which makes it very uncomfortable to go down there. A smell so strong that it penetrates the sheets, pillow cases, comforters, and towels that will be waiting for you in your "clean" room. The smells and bugs in the basement makes using the services very unwelcoming. The gym is also in the very same smelly basement, but not to worry, you won't be able to access it anyway! Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else!!!

We got bitten by bed bugs, caught them on video, and the absentee staff didn’t care. When we arrived, the room was in decent condition. After we discovered the bites (three bites in a row is a sign of bed bugs - you can Google it), we stripped the bed and saw all the stains on the pillows under the covers. It’s clear the couch cushions has significant dirt, too. Anytime we needed to contact them (issue checking in, broken lights so we had to use our flashlights in one room, a bag of garbage in the hallway for days, bed bugs) they were very uninterested in helping us. Even after we showed the photos of the bites and the live bug, they suggested we spend the night and consult a doctor. This is unacceptable, so we were forced to check out and find a different hotel. It’s clear from our review and others that the absentee staff doesn’t care about guests or cleanliness.

We had a very nice stay. It was all depending on self-help which is what we wanted. There was complimentary water, tea, coffee and chips in the room. The place is a 10-minute walk to Grand Place which is a good location.

Everything is great except finding the place! After walking around for 15 min looking for it we stumbled on its name on a tiny plaque by accident. We were told that the management wanted it like this because they want it to feel “like home” 😒 Otherwise, rooms are clean and contemporary. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, the beds are comfortable and there is a small fridge, complementary water and a safe in the room. The hotel is 10 min away from Gare Midi train station (the taxi didn’t want to drive us to the hotel and told us the we can walk it 😆) and the hotel is 10 min to the beautiful Grand Place and the Galleries Royal.

It's different. Warm staff and premises with a lot of nice details. The coolest check-in I've ever done... on a coach, while I had a drink . Nice Christmas chocolate amenities. Really quiet but close to the city center.

It’s a beautiful building and lovely staff, but our room #408 has a broken air conditioner and electrical issues which the hotel is aware of but did not convey to us upon check in. At the coolest our room was 80 degrees and unbearable. The staff brought up a bucket of ice and a fan, but the manager was unapologetic. If it wasn’t 2200 hours when we became aware of the situation, we would have gone elsewhere. To add insult the manager proceeded to charge us an additional 29.24 euros for parking and city tax upon checkout. Sadly, we had every intention of staying two nights in Brussels, but cut our stay short due to the manager’s lack of hospitality and failure to right the situation.

Enjoyed my stay in Brusell at Numa Lief. Self service accomodation close to the Grande Place. The room it self with a good size, comfortable bed & amenities. The only thing I would recommend for the cleaning staff to be more polite and say hello. Otherwise I truly enjoyed my stay.

I had meeting in Brussel, before arriving I make phone call to ask about parking position because the former owner had parking space their, the Mr in the phone was very unfriendly that’s was the 09-08-23 at 2pm! After this I was in hotel waiting for the agent to get code for that entrance but he just said hello and let me waiting about 30min! In the best secure place in Brussel!!! I was happy that I booked via agency and they supported me to get another hotel for this night. For me this place is over!

Would stay here anytime when visiting Brussels. The rooms were gorgeous and the location perfect for visiting Brussels - business or pleasure

  • 4/5 Aleksandr N. 7 months ago on Google
Good location and fair price. There is no big enough desk for business travellers, thus jad to revome coffee machine and all belongings to use tiny table.

Surprised reviews are as good as they are. You walk in to the entrance among garbage cans, and the interior spaces keep the rhythm. Carpeting was black, and filthy. Only light that worked in the room was the overhead. Mattress needs to be replaced. Just bad experience the whole way around (including the fact that I had to call at 8pm on the day of arrival to find out how to get in - never received an email in advance). Would definitely avoid this one unless and until they do some serious remodeling.

The hotel sends you a WhatsApp message with a code to enter the hotel. The code is needed for everything, from entering to your room to using the elevator, and it always works… eventually. There are no workers in the hotel. If you have any issues whatsoever, you’re SOL. In our particular case, we encountered a malfunctioning washing mashing that had absolutely no warning of it not working and ruined our clothes. There was no one to notify of this situation – no one at the nonexistent reception, of course, but also no one representing the outside app the hotel makes you download, who are technically the owner of the machines in question. The hotel also doesn’t offer anything in the way of room maintenance. We didn’t mind since we just booked two nights, but longer stays are a very bad idea unless you like running out of toilet paper. You can pay (!) for cleaning during your stay, but you’re not going to get a lot from that. In short: it’s a great hotel for very short stays or if you hate people, but otherwise, stay away.

The hotel has no individual in the reception. If there is an issue with your check in you're left outside. The heating temperature does not change. Its set at 19 degrees. Nice hotel but awful experience.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This is the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. All of the below for the privilege of paying €280 for two nights; 1. I have not been able to shower in my room for THREE DAYS. On day 1, the shower would not drain and flooded our bathroom floor and entry way to our room. I contacted the customer service team (via WhatsApp as there are no people on site) and was asked "can't you wait until tomorrow?". Not acceptable after travelling for an entire day to get here. We were then told to go down to the basement to fetch ourselves some new towels to clean up the water all over our room. Again, not acceptable. As a resolution, and after asking three times what to do, I was finally offered to have an evening shower in another guests room as they had not arrived yet... Weird but at least there is half a resolution, so off I go with my towel and wash bag to a strangers hotel room for a shower. Day 2, arrive back in my hotel after 12.5 miles walking and exploring the city to find my shower now drains (amazing!), but no hot water!!! Gross. I contacted customer service who informed me there was nothing they could do as there are no staff on site and again "wait until tomorrow" when staff are on site to look into the issue. Day 3, wake up, STILL NO HOT WATER and now I really stink. I am beginning to feel sorry for whoever has to sit next to me on my way home from Brussels today (a city which I shall never return to because of this awful experience). 2. There are no staff which is the most awful idea anyone has ever had. Staff will converse with you via WhatsApp which is unacceptable when you have an issue which needs near immediate resolution. The staff here clearly have no training in customer service and are quite frankly outright rude on WhatsApp. 3. There are major roadworks going on outside the hotel which you are not told about until you arrive (via a WhatsApp message of course). If I had known, I would have not booked to stay here. 4. The rooms are incredibly thin and you can hear your neighbours conversation, even when they are up until 2am in the morning with little thought or compassion for other guests. It's ok, I'll contact reception and ask if they can politely ask the neighbours to wrap up their party.. Oh wait, no one works here!!! Overall, the location is ok at best. If you are unlucky, you will have a view of the office block opposite and can look at people whilst they are having serious meetings as you get changed in the morning. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the Palace square, but around 30 minutes from most of the shopping areas.

This hotel is great! The self check in was easy via their website, and you're guided through it via WhatsApp. The beds are really comfy, rooms quiet and there's even a free minibar! Loved it

  • 5/5 Cecil C. 9 months ago on Google
I really liked my stay here. Room was very nice and clean. Location was perfect because its only a 10 minute walk from most of the attractions.

  • 5/5 Alla P. 10 months ago on Google
The hotel was unusual in a way that you do self check-in and checkout, and there is no room service. The location was great, the bed - super comfy and the shower - the best I had ever had in any hotel room. They provided you with small gifts, such as a free bottle of water, and a little surprise, when you open a clapboard a free bottle of beer! Cute!

Just perfect! The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are clean and spacious, the bedding extremely comfortable, and the amenities very generous. The standard room comes with a Nespresso machine, coffee pods, free snacks, juices and beers. The bathroom is well equipped, the water pressure is great, and the included shampoos and soaps smell amazing!

We recently stayed here the last weekend in September and up until returning home to Germany, thought we had had the perfect trip. The staff welcomed us warmly with snacks and wine on arrival. The room was very nice. Our slippers awaited us at the bedside during our return to the room in the evening. We dined there at night and the food along with the service was splendid. After having such a pleasant experience, we were not alarmed by the staff appearing nervous on our departure as they brought our car around after parking it the day prior. Since the parking area was very busy we thought they were only in a hurry for us to leave. Once we arrived home, we found the car had been damaged. The back fender was scraped. We were very disheartened after calling the hotel back and sending them photos, only to have an email sent stating that the staff had no account of such an incident. We value integrity, but the hotel staff here apparently do not. If they are okay with denying damaging our car, then what other activity may they be okay with denying? Where we once felt inclined to inform all of our associates here in a Germany about such an amazing hotel in Brussels, we now will adamantly refuse that they stay here due to the lack of their integrity.

Lovely hotel, spacious rooms. Incredibly friendly and relaxed. They were very accommodating with an early check in too. The prices on food and drink are quite high but they are a proper restaurant serving beautiful food. Very much enjoyed our one night at Pillows

I highly recommend Pillows, Great location The team was very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was heavenly!! Both hot and cold dishes were very fresh! Small and cosy hotel which I will choose to stay at again if I visit Brussels next time!

Stayed here during a one day layover. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. We arrived early and they were able to arrange an early check in. Room was clean. Only odd thing is the bathroom and sink/shower were in different areas in the room.

Excellent front desk service and a clean, modern lobby area which has a full bar for service. The room was very clean, had a full size king bed, and all the amenities needed for the bathroom. The sheets and pillows were extremely comfortable and couldn't have been any better.

Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms. I was very well surprised by the quality of the service. The staff is very professional and kind. Received a welcoming glass of wine at arrival to help waiting few minutes before the check-in. The breakfast is of very high standards. All good!

Had this hotel booked for this weekend and I had checked with the hotel customer service team in regards to luggage storage. Beginning of October they said they have luggage storage facility and when I messaged again regarding early check in/dropping bags off they said they don’t have luggage storage! We found this out 4 days before our trip and we only found out because I messaged again to confirm. No compensation was given other than a 10% discount code to book a luggage locker in town which is barely anything and a vague you can cancel the booking for free considering it’s very last minute. Luckily Managed to book elsewhere and cancelled this booking for Numa lief as this is poor communication and false advertisement. Very disappointed and very inconvenient.

The room was not ready at check in time, the elevator was out of order

  • 4/5 Yasser S. 1 year ago on Google
Nice place for short stays while visiting the city, rooms are clean and tidy. The elf check-in process was really easy and well-organised. The hotel location is within walking distance from many landmarks and shops also. The staff is amazing and ready to help with anything. The reason for not a 5 stars is the prices are higher than the value getting.

  • 1/5 Lilia E. 1 year ago on Google
Very strange place. For 170 a night one doesn’t get a working Wi-Fi for the whole stay. No luggage storage is possible either. Very strict check out at 11.00, even on Sunday. Shocking inflexibility and no hospitality. One doesn’t feel like a guest here, more like annoyance to the staff. All in all I don’t recommend to stay here.

The good: Excellent location Nice clean rooms Comfy bed Easy check in system The bad: Restaurant/bar area still a building site It's not really a hotel more of an apartment building

  • 1/5 Ciara C. 1 year ago on Google
Warning do not stay here they cancelled on the evening of my stay leaving me stranded and finding accomadation at 23.30pm at significant cost. No attempt to rectify the situation. Customer be warned.

Comfy bed, amazing shower, easy to check-in and check-out

  • 1/5 Olivier D. 6 months ago on Google • 1 review
it's a hotel without apparent staff, code for all the doors, lift, communication is done by WhatsApp or with a chatbot, with QR Codes, very impersonal. during night belongs to all the customers who have no limits. Breakfast is done in another hotel which has local purchasing principles, it is either apple juice or hot drink...be careful no tea will be brewed, for the coffee I suppose it is chicory... Finally, if you stay several nights you will have the right to have your room cleaned every 8 days otherwise this 50€ each time. You will have understood that I didn't like it at all, we are dealing with financiers not hoteliers

Stains on the carpet. Marks on the walls. One of the decorative pillows had, what appeared to be, drool stains on it. Apart from the day I arrived, room service only cleaned the room once over the nine nights I was there. The only positives that I can give are that there were some nice snacks in the room and that the communication by WhatsApp was effective. Keep in mind that there is no staff present at the hotel.
