Great hotel! Lovely room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Quirky decor in the lobby where you can sit for breakfast - breakfast was extra but good value

We had been at this hotel in October this year. We have arrived at the hotel after going through some very weird and dirty streets. We were somewhat prepared because of other reviews here. The hotel has a very welcoming and clean reception area. We had a really good feeling at the beginning - till we had seen the room. We had booked "Deluxe Small Double". We knew, it was going to be a small room, but we hadn't thought that we were not even going to have some space for our small luggage. Definitely, not for someone with claustrophobia. I'd really want to know what was "Deluxe" about it. It was literally the worst room that I had had till now in a 3 star hotel, ever. It is a shame that they even offer this room - and for this price - On top of that, our vacation was cut short because of Corona, unfortunately. As we felt very ill, we decided to leave 3 days earlier. I tried to reach management, if they could refund anything. Sure, they don't have to. But they didn't even bother to respond to my e-mail, they have just ignored that. You can find definitely much better hotels in Brussels for this price.

We pay 300€ to be rudely treated first thing in the morning. Don’t recommend, it’s not what I planned for my trip. Doing the hospitality job myself I believe they should only invest in basic manners for the reception employees. There’s a difference in word use and that can completely turn around the customer’s experience. I have called to the reception asking if it was possible to leave 15min later the check out once I was not feeling well due to the food that didn’t fit me the night before. And the lady’s words were “ the housekeeping likes to clean the room before 12pm, so NO, you HAVE to leave before 12 otherwise there’s a FINE of 20€” Here goes a suggestion that would: 1st- Make me understand the non possibility of a late check out. 2nd- Maybe SELL a late check out 3rd- Wouldn’t be rude as it sounded and make my experience bad as it turned out to be with the property “Madam, unfortunately it’s not possible once the housekeeping need to have the room cleaned before the next guests. However, in case you would need more time, we offer a late check out with a fee of 20€” WORD USE is important in a business. About the room, it was decent for sleeping, the beds were comfortable but on the second night after the cleaning it was separated in two, which was not ideal for me as we were in couple. My room’s window faced other buildings so we had to keep the curtains closed all the time. Positive point is that the curtains once closed, you won’t see any daylight which is good for proper environmental sleep. Location is great 👍👍

I was in this hotel for the first time and only words of praise. Friendly staff, clean and tidy room, great breakfast and close to the center. And the next time I visit Brussels I will definitely stay in this hotel.

Kitchen staff were nice. Front of house slightly less so, but still fine. Rooms average but clean and well kept. The major downside of this place is the area, mid way through my stay I wondered down the street to find some food and I was confronted by a guy who tried to pickpocket me, failed, then half heartedly try to fight me. Probably worth staying elsewhere if you want a nice experience of Brussels.

The rooms in this hotel are very clean and spacious. The showers are good. If you stay during the summer, request a fan of you don’t find one in the room. There’s no AC. The food is nice and the bar has good beer for reasonable prices. Walking distance to Brussels Midi, downtown and many other restaurants, bars and more. The area around the hotel it’s mostly populated by Muslim business.

The hotel is good for the price you pay. The location is about a 20-25 minute walk into the main square, but there is a train station that is less than five minutes by foot. The rooms were good and pretty clean. The location is decent, and we felt relatively safe walking around at night. Our initial encounter with the front desk was met with a fairly rude receptionist, but everyone else after that initial encounter was quite friendly. Overall, this is a good hotel at the price point.

Super nettes Personal.

The room was perfect with a good shower. Very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The area is very uncomfortable if your white.

Clean cozy and modern rooms, staff was very nice can't say a bad word about anything. However location might seem good as it's almost in city centre but nearby streets don't seem really safe.

Overall the stay way very good for 3 nights!! The staffs are cordial, room was bright, modern, comfortable, cleaned regularly---less ventilation, a small cooler in summer months might make it better The hotel is at walking distance from grand place and midi station. The surrounding area is bit dodgy at night and its better to avoid surrounding alleys

Nice hotel around 10 minutes of walking from centre, rooms are clean. but there is no air condition so it can feel like a sauna after warm day. Also there is much noise from the street. Personal was really nice.

Nice staff, clean and modern rooms and private (secured) parking underneath the hotel. 10-15 min walking to city centre and no city traffic when leaving Brussels! Would recommend!

Nice budget place and very close to the city centre. Lot of food options around the hotel specially if u like middle eastern cuisine

  • 5/5 Miona D. 1 year ago on Google
I will start from the location. The location isn't bad at all. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the center. I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because it was a little hard to actually spot the hotel, and you can easily get lost in the neighborhood. The whole neighborhood is Middle Eastern, so you can eat out for very cheap here and also meet very friendly and warm people! The service is 10/10. It seems like this is a family owned hotel. The staff are very kind and will help you with whatever you may need. The rooms are also great. They're very clean and very proper (if that makes sense). They are nothing grand, which makes them feel very safe and homey. The bathrooms are very cool and have great water pressure, and the water is always warm. If I come to Brussels again I am definitely staying here!

Great rooms, courteis staff, nice breakfast for the price paid and they allowed to park even after check out. So a big thumbs up to their customer service. It is close and walkable to down town. Location itself is not the best but for us it was ignorable as the stay was pleasant enough to make up for that.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Convenient location next to the train station and city center. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Good and decent hotel close to Brussels Midi train station, 1km from city hall. A few minuses: the windows that look in at least two other rooms or more, no fridge and the neighbourhood. The staff is griendly and helpful

The family room was pretty good. However, the facilities were really poor. There was no kettle in the room. Each time you wanted hot water, you had to come to the reception and ask for it. Not only that, one of the receptionist was pretty rude. The hotel was in a good location- you could walk to the train station & the city center easily

The room as well as the hotel is clean. Relatively close to the Grand Place (15-20min walk). The room temperature is comfortable. There is a safe deposit box, which is very important even for tourists. Cleaning was done every day of our stay at the hotel. Location of the hotel. The area is dirty and a little scary. But in all the time that we had to be there, there were no problems. It's just that the visual experience is not pleasant. It was Deluxe. But I not think so

I wish to thank the staff for helping us in catching the thief who stole our bag from the lobby. There were 2 men, one shouted to ask for a hotel room, while the other quickly grabbed our bag! The surrounding area is surprisingly dangerous and dodgy. Just as we were walking back to the hotel after sightseeing, there was a man waiting at the traffic lights while being on his phone. His phone was robbed by a passing cyclist. If you're driving, I strongly recommend you park in their underground garage! Don't go cheap! It's not worth getting your car broken into! I witnessed a car getting its window smashed in mere minutes after it was parked! As for the room, it is perfect for its size. The hotel is perfect to stay in. Great value and extremely polite and friendly staff.

Pros: Friendly and nice staff Clean rooms There's a fan in each room There's a safe Reasonable price 25 minutes walk to tourist attractions and shopping centers Cons: The breakfast is good, but it would be better if there was a bigger variety of items.

Excellent hotel, rooms and breakfast very good, staff friendly and helpful, but not in your face Location 10-20mins walk from cultural centre.

Wirklich freundliches Personal. Würde hier wieder übernachten.

Great room, kind and helpful staff, delicious breakfast and in a great location, within walking distance from the city centre. Loved it and absolutely recommend it

Hotel located in the middle of an Arab quarter of Brussels...located on a fairly busy street. All in all comfortable, quite clean, modern rooms, comfortable beds, presence of TV and hairdryer in the bathroom. You can also have breakfast and dinner inside the structure. Friendly staff. Nice place.

We stayed for four nights in Van Belle hotel in August 2021. Rooms are very clean, the hotel is new and very nice. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is 10-15 minutes walk to the center of the city. It is also not expensive, I would definitely come back.

I stayed there in 2015 and it was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Gave me the creeps all night long.

The room we stayed in was tiny, and it is very old, like the furniture has a bunch of scratches on it, the carpet in the wall is also super old school. But never the less, the room was very clean! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and equipped with all the necessities! The girls at reception are very helpful and sweet. It was good for the one night of our layover and not too far from the main attractions, walking distance. Also the neighborhood is kind of sketchy.

Nice hotel, well located within a 20 minute walk from the plaza. Lobby is very nice and modern but the hallways and rooms and very dated. Clean rooms and comfy bed though, what more can you want!

The Hotel is very good but the area is so busy and its nearly impossible to find parking, but the good thing is that there is parking in the Hotel ,for discovering the city you can you the E-Scoters they are available nearly everywhere

Service was super nice, location not so cool but near to city center! Sara, the receptionist gave us a super amazing service, she was like a mini guide for us in Brussels!

Worst hotel ever in one of the most dirty neighbourhood filled with thieves and pick pockets

  • 5/5 Natalia D. 4 years ago on Google
Surprisingly, quite nice hotel and in my opinion, not in a bad location. Furniture is rather old, but bathroom is ok. Toiletries (soap and shampoo) are available. No complaints about bed linen or towels. Personnel at the reception is very nice. There’s a cosy bar downstairs.

The room we stayed was pretty basic but very clean and modern. All the places I wanted to visit were walking distance. There are many many kebab shops outside the hotel which came in handy

A recently renovated hotel with modern, spacious rooms and en suite bathrooms. Rooms only rated 4 stars as the room was extremely warm and stuffy with no individual control of airconditioning. The surrounding area isn't particularly attractive but only a 15 minute walk to the Grand Place.

PROS: Cute place, really sweet staff, clean rooms and tasty breakfast and 10min bus route or 20min walk to city centre CONS: The area outside is a little dirty. Also, 15th May was extremely hot in Brussels and rooms have no air conditioning what so ever. So, I couldn’t sleep all night! Also, walls are thin - you could hear if anyone gets even a lit bit noisy.

We had a very good room, hot but the very helpful front desk, and bartender, got us a Fan. Very friendly and pleasant, room was clean towels were clean, very charming and modern. Definitely wouldn’t do a lot of walking in the area, dirty and seedy. But bus and trams are close and convienant. Food was very pleasing too. Dinner was well worth the cost, hot and fresh. Good chef. breakfast had a nice selection of fruit yogurt cereal, eggs toast jam, paistries and meat cheese coffee or tea. Juice. Jewel inside well done.

Most of the really horrendous reviews are older than 2 years, so this makes sense. It has been renovated and to be honest, the room we stayed at was super clean, very modern, and even had a nice view. The receptionist was also really friendly. The downside of course is just the area, a lot of incredibly dodgy people. I would assume for a lot of poeple, especially women not a pleasant situation. For me personally not really relevant given my physicality, no one chooses to mug me. Then again, most of Brussels has become like this... But overall, the hotel is great.

The hotel itself was very nice: renovated, modern and spacious. However, the location was horrific. My family and I are used to travel with large suitcases while using the metro, train and bus lines, so when we chose those means of transports to reach the hotel, it was natural. Well, BIG MISTAKE. Thankfully it was still light outside when we crossed the neighborhood surrounding the hotel. It was littered and full of groups of people drinking and smoking; no taxis wanted to drive a 5-minute distance for less than 35 €, and the environment was hostile and dangerous. No warning was made and, of course, the pictures of the hotel concealed the surroundings by just focusing on its façade and the small garden next door. We didn't feel safe enough to stay, walk to the metro or even go out at night for dinner, so we chose to lose the reservation in full and switch hotels. If you choose to stay here, do so knowingly. I am told Belgium is overall safe, but the neighborhoods of Anderlecht and Molenbeek didn't feel that way.

What you expect from the price. Very good service. Clean throughout. Bit of quiet work going on in places. Painting etc. Nothi g that got in the way of our stay.

  • 5/5 Keith B. 1 year ago on Google
Very happy with the room, with the staff and the location. The room was very quiet, the bed was comfortable and I slept well. The only disappointing thing was the TV. I can watch BBC back in England. I missed the Belgian/Dutch channels you had last time. Maybe other British visitors would disagree with that though. To have a kettle and tea/coffee in the room would have been nice. But you did very well. I look forward to being back soon.

Comfortable hotel room. Aircon would have been good though as it was very hot. Staff friendly and helpful. Area not too pleasant but suited our purposes and still felt safe

  • 5/5 Kyle A. 1 year ago on Google
I stayed here for 2 nights. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and super helpful. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and about another 10-15 minutes from city center. Close to public transit if you don’t want to walk but I had no problem with its location. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here as part of birthday week. I really liked it, modern and clean. All exposed concrete beams and trendy log benches. The bedroom was very big and a nice touch of separate toilet to bathroom. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located within the Arab/Middle East ethnic quarter and that's really not a problem as Belgium isn't all about chocolate, the Mannequin statue and military cemeteries, you need to see how ALL Belgians live plus the food outlets outside the hotel are excellent. Brussels City Centre is literally 15 minutes up the road. I'll happily stay here again 😌

Good location, walking distance to city centre. The room was small but manageable for a couple of nights. There should’ve been air conditioning though. The area around the hotel seemed like Arabic inhabited so there were shawarma places open till late. It seemed a bit like we were out of Belgium and in Middle East once we step into the vicinity of this hotel. Not complaining, just an observation.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I feel like I have to. I’m currently at this hotel and based on the reviews I thought it would be nice but HORRIBLE. I have a 6 month old and the room were super cold. I placed the request to fix but it took 24 hours. My baby only breastfeed so I pump a lot thinking there would be a refrigerator in the room to keep my milk nope now I’m furious cause I lost 12 oz of good breast milk. There is no microwave no coffee station. I get that a lot of hotels don’t have microwave but this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and not a 2. The best sheets were dirty but luckily for me I travel with my own bedsheets so it wasn’t a problem. The manager came in this morning to fix the heater, she was very unprofessional and rude. They gave me a basinet for my baby with old sheets and the bassinet seems to be broken so my baby had to sleep on the bed with us. Overall for a 4 star hotel, this was TRASH. Please KEEP YOUR MONEY

Good location but you’ll have to walk a bit to be in the real center. The rooms are very clean for the price and above all the personal will make your trip awesome. (Ps: the prices at the hotel bar are the best you can find in Brussels ! Enjoy it) And please have tv that can mirroring phones
