Renovation work ongoing that when booking it doesn’t mention . 0750 work started Saturday and creaky floors throughout. Lift works but notes not to use the stairs, bathroom is dated and more sealant than a diy store and manky . Old fashioned and dissatisfied

STAY AWAY OF THIS HOTEL. I must say it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I walked in, I knew I had made a terrible mistake. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The carpets were stained, the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages, and there was a strange, unpleasant odor that lingered throughout my entire stay. The AC was not working. I left the hotel and asked for refund. I was told it will take up to 7 days and then declined to refund!!!!!!!

Rooms look nothing like the pictures on the internet. At best, this is a 2-star hotel, not 3. Neighborhood is also unsafe. I was mugged while on my way to the train station to pick up my rental car.

I hate writing negative reviews. In saying that, 2 stars is a stretch, and I only give them because the host at check in was so positive and could not help us enough with our short stay in Brussels. However, this hotel is definitely not three star, there is no air con and the rooms smell like cats piss. Definitely not what we booked.

Great hotel. Comfortable bed and nice rooms size. The bath is great and is equipped with soap. The stuff was really helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very recomended, diversity of food, drinks and freshly baked pastry. The location is only 20 min walk from the stock exchange and it literally almost sits on the Brussels MIDI train station.

Budget hotel in close proximity of Brussels South Station. Overall ok. The room cleanliness need to be improved. Breakfast is very basic. The lighting in the room is not maintained. The toiletries and in room amenities are missing. Only one common soap is provided. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.

We had a really good time there. Very friendly staff, cozy rooms, variety breakfast, located near station. Perfect place to stay 👌🏼. Will surly come back.

Relatively decent place, however, I was questioning the cleanliness of the toilet the first time I came in. Moreover, my room had the (locked) interconnecting door with the neighbour room and I could literally hear everything from the second room. This is probably only the problem for some of the rooms so I don't judge the hotel hard. Breakfast was below average, I would really appreciate some vegetables.

Not what we expected. Hotel being renovated meaning no bar or resraurant. Also lots of noise. Few dining options nearby. No basics like tissues or toiletries . Not a bathroom for those over 50. A big step over bath into shower. Adangerous part of town at night. Adverts exagerate the quality and convenienve of the hotel.

Just across Bruxelle-Midi station. The location is great, but I felt unsafe. The receptionist is really helpful. Renovated a bit, the rooms are big, and the toilet. Problem only with the aircon. Stayed only for a night.

You get what you pay for. But this was still pleasant and basic. The receptionist gave me a free tea in the morning which made my day after missing my train to London. Lovely hot shower.. but not glamorous in any way. Basic and affordable.

The cleaning team is very good and nice, they change sheets and make the bed everyday. But the general cleaning of the hotel is not so great. Close to Zuid station - useful to travel between cities. Very simple breakfast, but for a couple of days is worth. The third day you might get bored.

Super basic small hotel rooms in a rather dodge part of town - the welcome was a strange stink in a chilly hotel reception. I arrived back after a late night to a freezing cold room - i went down to reception and the man gave me a controller to try fix the heater - after several trips up and down we figured it was definitely not working …. he said sorry there are construction works on and the hotel has no heat on some floors. He gave me an extra blanket and a cup of tea (which was nice in fairness if I’d been staying in a homeless hostel but the room cost 120euro!). I slept with my coat and scarf on ! Customer service was diabolical the next day - still charging me for their miserable breakfast and room even though I had such a bad night. I ended up eating in ‘Time Off’ up the road which was nice and 5 euro cheaper. The room was obviously still frozen in the morning - they eventually brought me up a heater the following afternoon so by that time I was well over it and moved to the Ibis up the road which is amazing in comparison and cost the same! I asked to be refunded (at 11am) for the second night I was booked to stay there and they refused to…. Hence the one star review!! Just to note to any female lone travellers - the area is quite dodge so proximity to the city shouldnt be valued that much if you’re hoping to get around. In the 2 days we were there we were warned several times about pick pockets, witnessed a man getting hit over the head and taken to hospital , a few crack deals and just general hard living. On the streets around there stink of urine.

Rooms had absolutely no heating other than a tiny oil heater that did next to nothing. The decor was tired and the carpets and walls were dirty. Basic continental breakfast. Staff tried their best given the circumstances, they let me have a key to keep the oil heater on all day. The room was survivable on the second night. Seems to be extensive renovation works being carried out but if anything was actively being worked on it was while I was out. The area around the train station seems to be pretty rough, I wouldn't go wandering around at night alone unless you can handle yourself. I was there on the night that France played Morocco in the world cup and there was a riot audible but not visible from my room.

Outside is as grim on the inside. Way too expensive for what it is, better off booking next door. Bathroom had mould and the interior is very old and outdated… glad to see they are in the process of renovating but the rooms need some serious help.

Very good service and support from reception. The quality of the room is fair with respect to the price. The breakfast is very good ! The hotel needs some repair and renewal because it's gotten a bit old.

The hotel had nothing to do with the photos on the booking. It is by no means a 3 star hotel. Cleanliness definitely needs improvement. It was dirty and smelled from the reception to the room. There was no soundproofing at all, you could even hear the opening of the wardrobe from the adjacent rooms. There was a lot of noise due to work being done. The breakfast was very basic but the hotel staff was very kind. The location was infamous. The only good thing was that the metro station was very close.

The location is great if you are a tourist. Easy to find once you arrive in Brussels Midi Station. Price us higher on weekends. Due to location we can save money on taxi/public transport.

Zero in terms of service and hospitality. At 11:30pm I wanted to drink water from the bottle dispenser they had at the reception (something they had allowed me to do in the day before) and the man at the reception said that could only be used for breakfast... You have a 2 night-stat, pay over 200euros and they do not allow you to drink water... Water is not provided in the rooms either.

There is nothing bad to say about the hotel. Renovations are needed to make them better. It is close to the train station, but the area itself isn't that great.

  • 1/5 Gilbert M. 1 year ago on Google
The service was good. The room was catastrophic. The air condition was not working it was so cold. The toilet has no lock so it was open a little bit and if you are 2 persons it will be embarassing. The shower is so tight. Also there was no napkins in the room

This hotel is clean and bright. Staff are so kind and helpful. My only quibble is the noise from trains so make sure you request a room away from the front. There is a good supermarket close by and a 20 minute wk brings you into the centre of Brussels. The station opposite has a plethora of shops and bars and coffee shops offering really good food.

As always best part is it’s near to Midi railway station. Walkable distance. Very near to tram, bus stop everything. Breakfast was very delicious here and rooms were big and nice. But we didn’t had such nice experience here. First of all people are not tourist friendly, they hardly helped us to get to our destination. Most of them don’t understand English and this caused a lot of problem to us. Given an option I would make room somewhere else

  • 4/5 Robert U. 2 years ago on Google
Decent rooms (double at least), close to the railway so can be nosy at times. Breakfast in the room, in time of COVID restrictions, is not great so I wouldn't recommend it. Front desk people were great - always helpfully and with a smile on their face.

I find myself having to leave a very negative review for this hotel. I had booked and paid immediately, through booking.it, for a room for 4 nights over the Christmas-New Year period. Two days before departure, I was forced to cancel my trip due to Covid. I imagined that I would not be able to receive a free cancellation or a refund, but through booking.it we tried to ask for at least a voucher or the possibility to move the dates to another period. The hotel refused us any solution. Although I paid and reserved the room, despite not having been able to use it, the day after check-in (which unfortunately I could not do), the hotel canceled my reservation and put the room back on the site as bookable again. . So the structure has earned it twice! It is shameful how this hotel has decided to manage my situation, it is a difficult time for everyone and we should come to meet it, it is a real shame how the structure has profited from a difficulty of a possible guest.

Turned away by Eurostar last chance saloon. No frills just a basic room but imagine no room. Take it.. .we did and they kept the luggage till train time.

Ideal for a stop over near the train station. Safe. Quiet. Clean. Comfortable

The hotel is very conveniently located just outside the Brussels railway station. The staff was very nice and provided good service and even allowed an early check-in without any extra charge. The room was clean.

The staff were very friendly. Helped us with whatever we needed. Breakfast is out for a generous time: from 6:30 am to 10:00 am. The staff were OK with visitors eating even longer! However the hotel itself seems quite run down. The corridors and rooms were smelly. The curtains in one of our rooms were wet! The walls are thin so one could hear what the neighbours were doing. Although the hotel has the advantage of being very close to the south station, the area is not entirely safe. Overall, the place costs way too much for what they can offer!

  • 4/5 Andrew G. 4 years ago on Google
Recently renovated, great prices and friendly staff. Kept our bags in a secure room on the last day. The check in and check out times are very generous! 2pm check in and a check out of 12pm. Others mentioned it being loud on a night time, honestly it did not bother me but due to the proximity to the busiest station in Belgium as I’m a heavy sleeper but those who are light sleepers would probably struggle.

Good location close to main train station. Rooms are spacious so for this price the only thing that might be problematic is the sound of traffic if you have windows facing the street. Breakfast ok, but there were no vegetables to choose from.

Good location for the trains but away from the better parts of the city. Bathrooms on 3rd floor seen need refurbishment. AC worked fine but no controller was provided for adjustment. Good TV with BBC 1 and BBC2 available. Limited breakfast choice but adequate.

  • 5/5 Deb C. 1 year ago on Google
Reasonably priced despite the location. Stayed for 2 nights without expectations but was pleasantly surprised. About 20 minutes walk to the Grand place and most of the touristy streets and also 5 minutes to Bruxelles midi station. The room was clean and bed was big. Bathroom was also spacious. No complaints overall!

Friendly and welcoming staff, spacious and clean rooms with decent breakfast. Good price compared with the rest of the hotels in Brussels. The area is not great but we haven't had any problems.

Good clean single room, with a bathtub/shower. Staff was very nice, helpful, and fast on check-in. They offer a breakfast in the morning if you want to pay additional for it. The hotel is directly across from Brussels-Midi train station, which has a lot of food and shopping options.

  • 4/5 Alastair M. 1 year ago on Google
Looked a little dodgy and to be honest, the rooms need a face lift. But all of the facilities worked as expected and the breakfast was decent. 200m from the Eurostar station, so very convenient.

Friendly staff, quick check in and out. Good breakfast. The only thing, there was a strange smell in the elevator and corridors

Ideal for one-night stands for one person, the staff was very kind and helpful. It's a bit far away from the city central.

The hotel location is very good for travelling with train but the room isn’t soundproof and there was so noisy during in the middle of the night in my stay. The hotel need to make a policy for a quite hours!

Stayed in here for 3 nights with my wife and family. We loved it! The staff was friendly, rooms were very clean and cosy, the breakfast was excellent. All of this for quite a reasonable price. Will definitely stay in here again.

The room did not resemble the pictures at all. We were promised a non-smoking room with a city view and a bathtub. However, upon entering, we immediately detected the scent of cigarettes. This smell was likely coming from outside the window where construction workers were walking around and smoking on the roof, approximately 1 meter away from our room window. As a result, we had absolutely no privacy and were compelled to keep the curtains closed at all times to avoid people peering into our room. Moreover, we were not informed about the construction when booking; we only found out about it upon reaching the hotel. Consequently, we were awakened at 6 am by construction noises. Although the checkout time was at 12, cleaners started attempting to open our door and knocking on it one and a half hours before that time. They only left after we asked them to wait until we were ready to depart. If we hadn't manually locked the door, they might have simply walked in and invaded our privacy, even when the "ready to be cleaned" hanger was not on the door. Additionally, the room shown in the pictures on Agoda clearly had a bathtub, but it was not present in the room we were given. The only positive aspect of our visit was the convenient proximity of the train station, which was about a 2-minute walk away, allowing us to leave quickly.
