Avoid it!!! Uninhabitable scam. Terrible management. I’ve never had a hotel that smelled so bad, even at 1/3 the price of this one. We paid for a 3-star hotel and got a roadside motel level of quality. We had a terrible experience here. We arrived early to check in and were given a room on the main floor in the back of the hotel. As we walked down the hallways toward our room we noticed leaks from the ceiling and a growing smell of strong chemicals and something else. The smell climaxed in the corner our room was in. We consulted the front desk - they said it was the cleaning that had just be done so we subsequently opened the window and left the room to air out for an hour as we walked around. When we got back the smell was just as strong, and we couldn’t stay in the room longer than 10 minutes without feeling sick. We politely asked for a different room and were denied due to availability. We explained that staying in the room was making us feel sick and the smell was overbearing. They refused any sort of cancellation or refund. We booked another hotel and are disputing the charges with our credit card company. We suspect the strong chemical was to combat the lingering smell of mold. I get that things happen, and mold or other sanitation problems can be an issue anywhere, but you shouldn’t rent the room is you have to use such strong cleaners just to cover up that smell. Deal with the issue and then rent it out after it is settled. Ripped us off for $160 for a night stay we couldn’t even use. We never even touched the bed. Just walked in and out. The front desk staff was nice, and I feel bad for them because this isn’t their fault, but their management is terrible. Do better. Addressing their response: We did not use the room for a couple of hours. We intended to leave our bags with the front desk to walk around and grab lunch as we arrived early. Instead the room was ready so we placed our bags in the room. We noticed the smell immediately and they told us it was because it had just been cleaned so we left open the windows to air it out as we left. When we came back we noticed it was still there and had not dissipated at all, so we alerted the staff and promptly left the room as it was making us feel sick. We never used the bed, the bathroom, or anything. We never opened our suitcases. We were in the room maybe a total of 10 minutes and that is because we were waiting for them to see if they could find another room.

I don’t ask for much just a clean room. I woke up covered in bed bug bites. I just want to warn anyone considering staying here! so you don't have to suffer this anxiety of worrying that these bugs came with me now! Edit: I never told you my room number. Also after I posted my review you hired 12 bots to burry my review with fake 5 star reviews rather than respond. This seems like the act of a guilty person. you have a major infestation in your hotel both my arms and both my legs are covered in bites. I feel sorry for any future guests you have since you are not taking this seriously. I only stayed in your hotel 1 night and no other hotels. I am very sensitive and react very fast to bug bites. I'm 100% certain it was at your hotel.

BED BUG ALERT!!!!!!! I WOKE UP THIS MORNING WITH OVER 30 BUG BITES!!!! the hotel is dirty it literally has water leaking in the hallways and smells musty and moldy. Cleaning staff tried to enter our room at 9am already without our permission telling us to leave despite check out being 11am. it's on a sketchy street with unhoused people and human waste and lots of garbage everywhere. This hotel is paying bots for positive reviews!! you can see all the 5 star reviews have 1 or 2 words at most from "people" who only have 1-2 reviews elsewhere.

Stayed in July. The room was clean and cosy. Very well presented. See photos. The important part was the service. Service makes all the difference- Really caring to make sure it was a comfortable stay. One of the days we were walking out of the hotel and it was due to rain, the manager came chasing after us, we turned around and he handed an umbrella to use while out! It was such a lovely gesture! on the last day of leaving, my partner was ill. They gave additional space and accommodation and kept checking that she was ok and hydrated and comfortable. They extended their hospitality after we had checked out which was so kind of them. Honestly I can't thank them enough! I'd give it 6* if i could. Brief review- location is convenient. Just at the edge of the old town/centre of Brussels. Near the high-end shops. Only a minutes walk to the local underground/metro. Or maybe 10 mins (slow walk) into the main town where pretty much everything you'll want to see- palaces, cathedrals, museums, amazing views, sculptures, and so on Weirdly hotel entrance is down a what feels like a back alley.

My trip has been okay up to coming across the receptionist on Monday morning who was extremely unpleasant rude and definitely not customer orientated. I would only stay over the weekend if I were you where the two men receptionists knew how to do their job better and treated me like a proper client. Dirty road and didn't feel safe walking by myself. I would not recommend staying there for the reasons mentioned

Nightmare stay, roofs leaking, walls leaking, very musty smell, Some of the staff in bad mood (in any case in the morning). I'm sure supervisor orders the staff to make the reviews, may I wrong? because is too much 5 stars for the reality. we arent coming back

This hotel lies close to Ixelles which is a laid back district in Brussels that has boutiques and nice eateries. The rooms were fine but in our case underground with a window facing towards the inner courtyard which is not really a courtyard but more a space. So, nothing wrong with it but the facilities are just fine for a short stay and more or less represent what you can expect in this price range.

Experience 10/10. The hotel is very well located, at 15 minutes walk from the city centre, train station and the european parlament. I had the best sleep of my life in that bed, even had struggle to wake up from naps for tourism. Free coffe in the hall (not the best, but appreciate it)

Aqua hotel is the perfect budget travel hotel that doesn't feel like one. The rooms are spacious and neat and clean. The bathrooms and tidy and well kept and the beds are comfortable to sleep in. The hotel has a lovely breakfast menu with all the basics covered to start your day. They are also pet friendly and do no charge anything extra for them. Only downside is that there is no parking within the hotel but there is an Interpaking garage nearby which charges 22 eur for 24 hrs. The location of this hotel is amazing with the city centre just 20 mins walk and the ixelles market just a 10 min walk on the other side. Definitely recommend

Comfortable and quiet stay. Our room was on third floor with window to central courtyard /void. Good location for central areas and transport links. Is down a street with little else so seems sketchy but is actually fine. Great breakfast choice including gluten free option. Only held back a star as the bathroom had little privacy with loose fitting glass sliding door and lighting was too low. I've seen comments around bed bugs within reviews and I always do a careful check of rooms when I arrive. I have also left a number of hotels in the past for this reason, I didn't find any in our room.

Very nice stay. The reception and breakfast staff are very polite. Elias and Chura were very nice despite our complex request. They proved professionalism and patience. They went themselves check our rooms and make us feel confortable. THANKS

This hotel is part of some organised crime group. We paid them 16K euro before COVID and they didn't let us to use the rooms we paid for up to date. On papers they claim they went into bankruptcy while they are fully operational. You should be extra aware of this practice when booking.

The Hotel is good. It has a very interesting architecture. We had breakfast, normal as in any hotel. Rooms were clean. We were on the -1 floor. It gets enough light. Bathrooms were clean. The location is very good.

Central, clean, bright rooms, limited space, quite uncomfortable bathroom, not really “user friendly”. Average breakfast. All in all a good choice in a very nice location/neighborhood.

rooms are on basement, the rooms are having a big pillar inside, there's hardly any space in room to keep your stuff. This hotel was the worst ever in my life of traveling.

A cozy place and a good service. Not very far from the tourist areas. Although we are a couple and they gave us separated beds but still recommended

We stayed there for 4 nights, and it was perfect for a short stay. No place is completely perfect, but the pros outweighed the cons. Let's start with the staff. We checked in with one of the nicest receptionists named Chao/Sjou or Sho (not sure how to pronounce it correctly). He was so helpful, recommended places to visit, and always had a smile on his face. The rest of the staff seemed great too, although we didn't get a chance to talk to all of them like we did with him. The hotel had a unique and pleasant smell that you could even notice before entering. They also had a coffee machine and water machine that we could use for free, not just for ourselves but also for our visitors and it was nice they mentioned that to our friends who just came to visit us. The room we had was perfect for two people, with a separate toilet and shower, a decent size, and amenities like a fridge, TV, closet, and safe. There were a few minor cons, like some issues with the shower head and sink being blocked at times, but it wasn't a big problem. We didn't get a refill automatically, but whenever we asked at the reception, they provided it. The only other thing was that housekeeping ignored the "Do Not Disturb" sign and tried to clean the room, but they didn't enter until I opened the door for them. It would have been better if they didn't wake us up with the sign on. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I would definitely book there again.

It's clean, modern and decent. Fir Brussels it's a 4, but compared to many other places, the rather small rooms and limited service would be close to a 3 fir that price. It us quietly but suitably situated if you are here on business. The ventilation could be better (both Winter and Summer). You can also be offered very different prices for the same room depending on how you book. When you get the lower prices, e. g. via Booking, it is one of my favorite business hotels in Brussels.

Central heating in room 413 was broken and nobody informed me in advance. I realized that an unplugged heater was in the room. When I complain in the reception informed me that the presence of the heater means the central heat in broken. They offer me a new room but I already have everything unpacked so I stay there. Toilet bowl excessively small. This issue was unfortunate since the rest was very good and clean, comfortable beds, correct breakfast, and nice staff. I am not sure if I would be back again.

Nice hotel newly built. Very modern architecture. We found a suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms which is difficult to find in Europe. Courteous staff and nice breakfast. The hotel is on a quiter street which requires some extra walking or taxi from major tourist attractions but we did not mind it. There is a blue sculpture vertically placed in hotel which can be seen from hotel rooms and from every floor. There is a restaurant next door in case anyone needs. so overall a nice stay.

Located far from the Midi station - 30-40 minute walking distance. Interesting floor structure as we were guided in room 6xx but it was located on -1 floor, not 6th. Quite, cozy and small tiny room with well-functioning air conditioning but not clean. Helpful staff, vicinity to the shopping area and Grand Place. Wonderful breakfast but slow service with no timely replacement.

We had a great stay at Aqua Hotel Brussels. The bed was comfy and the shutters on the windows ensured complete darkness and silence at night. Breakfast was tasty, and the ladies who brought us coffee were always friendly and kind. The location was nice too.

Nice rooms, nice lobby but the parking situation in Toison D or is not that good at the exit/entrance it smells everywhere, dark and some strange people cross your way. The breakfast is excellent!

Small, but clean room with modern bathroom. Good Location and parking cost only 7€ per night. Only the elevator of the parking house ends in an abandoned house next to the hotel.

Very friendly staff (especially Shourad at the front office and Thelma at the breakfast) and great central location, only a few minutes away from the historical center of Brussels. Great management for sure. I’ll definitely be back.

We booked Aqua Hotel for a group trip to Brussels, staying one night mid-week. The staff were very helpful in arranging the group booking and facilitating all the different invoices we needed for accounting purposes. Their group booking policy is flexible, with room for some last-minute cancellations, and they were also very accommodating to changes made upon check-in. It is a good quality 3 star hotel, clean and modern, ideal for a business trip or group visit. All members of our group were happy with their stay, and several mentioned the friendliness of the staff who were always happy to assist. Language was never a barrier. Location is also ideal. The hotel is situated in bustling Matongé, equidistant between the European quarter and the historic city centre (both a 10-15 minute walk away). It is right next to the Porte de Namur metro station.

Clean, modern and artistic hotel . Super good located. The room has a good size and the beds are so comfortable. Near by the hotel is a bus stop and also an amazing night club. Besides this, the staff are nice and super helpful.

Aqua Hotel Brüssels is a decent reasonaply priced hotel quite near of the city center. Hotel itself: It seems that the hotel does not locate to best parts of the town. The alley or street where step in to the hotel is not the most charming street. It was almost scary to walk to the hotel when it was dark because there was alot of graffitis and thrash. But when you got to the hotel you saw a modern pretty artistic hotel and friendly staff. Room: Room was clean, fairly modern and good size. It had air conditioning which was by the way put way too cold (16 celsius) and had to be put to warmer temperature immediately. Bathroom was quite small buy also modern. Only thing which was not so nice was the floor. It was somehow sticky and your socks and feet sticked to it a bit. Breakfast: Worked for me! It's not the best breakfast but it's enough. What more you need than a few croissants, two cups of coffee and a little orange juice?

Nice hotel with interesting decorations, but water was dripping from the ceiling in bathroom and AC was acting funny by switching from chilling to heating by itself.

Clean, cosy room with a solid feel. No disturbances over the days that I have spent here. Good central location- on quiet side street from a metro station. Breakfast is something to always look forward to. The service is real friendly. I always love to be back here. Recommend strongly.
