it offers a memorable experience. From majestic pandas to exotic birds, the variety of animals is astounding. The lush, well-maintained enclosures mimic natural habitats, ensuring animal well-being. The park's architecture and gardens are amazing, complementing the animal exhibits. Dining options and engaging shows make it a full-day adventure. A delightful family outing, Pairi Daiza brings conservation and education to life.

This is one of the most beautiful zoos in the World. We actually stayed here with the polar bears for a couple of nights and it was simply breathtaking. I have to say that for me the best part was the bats. It was simply amazing to be in there with them while they flew near you in all directions; this was superb. Plan on being here for at least a couple of days, there is so much to see and you don’t want to miss any of it. It took us two days to see everything and then spent the third day seeing all the things we loved the most. The park is simply beautiful and very clean. All the animals look happy and they have plenty of room to roam around. I can say that the food prices are a bit steep for what it is so maybe a great choice to bring your own lunch. There are plenty of areas around the zoo to have lunch. We signed the kids up to feed the elephants and this was a cool experience for them. Overall highly recommend, beautiful place.

Okay keep in mind it is the time of Covid-19. Getting to the zoo and getting in the zoo was fine. However once in the zoo it's a very different story. There are areas marked to wear masks however they have no one in theses area, minus the kangaroo/blue penguin exhibit, to hold people accountable. Therefore you are 50/50 at BEST of people following any protocol in the park. I'm being generous here. As for the park it was nice. I'd suggest either early morning to go when it is slightly cooler. More animals will be active unlike when we went around 2pm and it got hot 80+. Most animals were either sleeping or in the shade. Also you pay for parking as you leave. Since this was our first time and I pre-paid I was a bit confused. All in all a good time. Really would have been tough with more people though.

Definitely one of the most beautiful zoos you can visit. The entrance feels like Disneyland & throughout the whole park there are amazing buildings and landscapes. Animal enclosures are integrated in their surroundings. The park has restaurants and there are places to sit everywhere. Besides having pandas! the park has a very nice selection of animals. White tigers, beautiful birds, elephants, rhinos, etc. The park app has a map which makes it very easy to locate everything you need. Sadly it only seems to be in French but it could be I missed a setting somewhere. This is not a cheap outing: entrance, food, merchandise, etc all cost a fair amount of money. Bringing some drinks and sandwiches is not a bad idea. However you can easily spend the whole day here if you want to see & do everything. In my opinion, it's well worth the money considering how lovely this zoo is.

Its a wonderful place, we enjoyed every minute in the zoo. Everything is tight and in order, nice restaurants and the most important thing, the animals look great and well maintained. My boys were excited to see pandas, wolves, bears, lions, giraffes, tigers and many more wonderful animals.

(Translated by Google) One of the most beautiful zoos I've been to, without hesitation. Very beautiful areas, nicely decorated, magnificent animals. Many areas allow us to be closer to them, it's an incredible opportunity. I recommend the aquarium! The explanatory panels deserve a little refreshment, for better public awareness.

(Translated by Google) An exceptional place! More than a zoo, Pairi Daiza is a trip around the world in one day! We evolve according to the worlds by discovering each time exceptional decorations and we let ourselves be transported for a day in another world. The animals to be observed enjoy large spaces, which makes the visit even more pleasant and the icing on the cake, you can taste dishes from all over the world, for us it was Africa and it's really good and frankly very affordable ! The park being very large, we have already planned to go back! The new entrance is a great addition to the park. The beautiful gallery and big park shop are really fitting the style of the park. After several visits the park notably keeps improving in quality for both the resident animals and the visitors. The areas are themed in depth and offer an extra layer of immersion. Certainly the most beautiful and large zoo I've been too. Ps: For first time visitors. You will need the whole day if you wanna go around the entire park and visit mostly every animal. We took a full day and about a 10-15km hike

One of the best zoo I've ever been to in the world. It's worth every penny. They have pandas! And the attention to detail will blow your mind. It is the most unique zoo and it's huge.

This is truely a magnificent park. It's almost impossible to see everything in one day. Every part of the park is according to a certain theme, the animals as well as the decoration. Superbly done. We were here as a family, with 2 kids. There was only 1 downside. We went during Easter holiday and the weather was quite grey, clouded, chilly. The consequence was that a lot of the extra stands for food and such were closed. Nevertheless, an amazing place to visit.

Personally it is the best Zoo I've visited by a distance. All the animals have so much more space than any other I have seen, and effort made to replicate their natural habitats. It is broken down into different continents and there are buildings representing each culture as well as making it more of an experience than just your usual zoo. It was unique to any other zoo I have been to. Personally I'd recommend a whole day there, we visited for 6 hours and felt rushed trying to fit everything in. The next visit we'd be tempted to stay over night.

Nice and beautiful zoo and park. Many places for picnic, food corners, for chilling. And pandas 😍 Parking costs 10 euro per day and a lot of space for parking. Tip: animals more active after 15:00. Before, most of them were sleeping. Most of all we liked Chinese area, very beautiful 👍 Have a great time, guys 😉

An amazing ZOO for a day trip with friends and family - everyone will find something for themselves! The ZOO is very green with a lot of nature and offers a lot of attractions! It doesn’t really feel like a ZOO because everything is in the open space! Would love to come back and stay in one of the rooms offered on site!

This is an experience you have to have at least once in your life. Only problem is once you have been and stayed in the hotel you will be addicted. Such a special place to be surrounded by animals and the incredible holiday lights. We slept in the Polar Bear Double Room and it reminded me of our stays at the Ritz-Carlton with the level of luxury and there was plenty of room for us and our two young daughters. The bath was perfect and oh so relaxing. Would definitely be an awesome spot for a romantic stay with out the kids. Waking up with the window on the Polar Bears was so exciting. We thought we might not see them, but when my back was to the window my wife jumped with shock and I turn around to see a Polar Bear directly behind me. So much fun to sleep amongst these majestic creatures and look forwarded to staying in the other rooms. The park is absolutely enormous and you feel like you are transported all over the world as you explore. There is always something to see and the animals are very active and well taken care of. The staff is super friendly and you can tell the owners are extremely passionate about the park and animal conservation. If going in the winter be sure to be prepared for the cold. Our only two recommendations for improvement would be warming stations around the park and an upgrade on the mattresses in the rooms. Bottom line... absolutely amazing!

Amazing location, stay the night close to the animals. 2 days are needed to see all. Lovely decorated rooms, everyone is friendly and helpful. Best staff ever. We had an amazing dinner in the Mokki Restaurant. Just be careful, the wine is excellent (choice of sommelier), getting one glass of wine with each course made me happy to have only a 100m way to bed. But our choice and it was an great evening. No regrets next day 👍 Doctor fishes are real fun, cleaning feet. Under the old church tower is the Bat cave. You can walk in and bats are flying around you. Too dark to take a picture but exciting. Just be aware bats have fun to pee in flight, so some risk to got hit. 😬🤣

Best zoo in Belgium, you can observe lots of animals in a close distance. For many of them , especially the big ones like elephants or gorillas, they have very huge place to live in. The train is one thing you can’t miss, on the train you can take a good look to the elephants domain, witch what is hard to visit by foot. The whole zoo is base on a old monastery “Cambron” and it’s beautiful. The beer “Cambron” blonde, I like it very much also.

Though pricy, definitely one of if not the biggest and most aesthetically pleasing zoos I have visited. The enclosures are large, varied and well-maintained, and the animals seem to be well-taken care of. I will note that there is so much to see that you simply cannot fully experience everything in just a single day. Then again, I would very much consider another visit.

Fantastic experience and wonderful animal park. The hygiene and the health of the animals are really great. And it doesn't "smell" like a typical zoo. Every region is careful crafted with minute attention to details. Especially China's Zhong Yuan and Nordic countries. Food is arguably more expensive in the park than outside, so if you are visiting cost consciously, you should pack a picnic and bring enough water. Most of the places can be visited with toddlers and young children. There are enough ramps for reduced mobility person. If you like animals and find great value taking a stroll in the park, I definitely encourage you to take a subscription which will be covered with only three visits. You probably need two visits to see every animals in the park and have a try at every activity. Solar parking is a great idea to make use of the parking space while providing some shade for the cars.

(Translated by Google) Stayed for a weekend at the Native Lodge: a must for everyone!!! Beautifully finished lodges between the deer with a view of the bears. Shower with a skylight, blissful. Everything finished to a high standard. Sauna, bath, everything in order. Super clean and hygienic. The service is always with a smile and no effort is spared. Breakfast will be brought to the lodge at no extra cost if you request it. Breakfast was fresh and more than adequate. In the evening we had dinner in Izba and Mokki. I personally expected more from Mokki, but maybe my expectations were too high. The difference between the children's menu and the adult's menu is also too great, so that the kids have to wait too long. The park itself is BEAUTIFUL!!! Beautiful walks and fun activities: Let fish nibble at your feet, have an elephant lunch, caress fish and many feeding moments. Alles hoogwaardig afgewerkt. Sauna, ligbad, alles dik in orde.

A park is not cheap. But worth it!!! Giant! You have to come for a long time to have time to walk around and see all the animals. There are original animals that are not found in other zoos in Belgium. The guest rooms are amazing!! Worth every euro. the stay the cleanliness. And value for money.

We stayed three days / two nights at Pairi Daiza and absolutely loved it !! This time we decided to take a room at the Land of the Cold with the walruses. We ended up watching them for hours. Rooms are very spacious, awesome bubble bath and shower, and shout out all the employees: professional, taking their time to explain us and makes us comfortable. Greatly appreciated !

Great selection and variety of animals. Giant gift shop. Restaurant food options are better than outside the local area. I recommend the Chinese buffet if you like authentic Asian cuisine. Be prepared to spend money on food and drinks. Very clean bathrooms and helpful staff. Will be returning soon.

We go every year to The Festival of Lights as a family, and I love it. There's always something new to see and plenty of activities for the little ones of course. My favorite was roasting marshmallows! We brought our own stuff, but you can buy crackers, chocolate etc. Not at all overcrowded or overbearing like I had worried. The prices are a bit much, so you can simply bring your own snacks, we still bought a hot chocolate and it was perfect for the occasion. (Most everyone wore a mask while walking around, just for the picture)

Wonderfully designed amazing zoo. I cannot describe this as a zoo because it is a big city. Every section is decorated with the culture, typical monument and design style of countries of origin of the residing animals. Super big, I don't think one can visit the entire Pairi Daiza in one day. Really worth visiting specially if you like animals.

Super big and beautiful! Favourite in the country. I appreciate all the effort put into the looks of the animals' natural habitats and all the decoration for visitors. Sometimes the animals ate well hidden but we've seen 90% of all of them. The park is huge. We've done the whole park in 10 hours, walking almost 13km. Minor point is the restaurants. We had a sad burger (bun, ketchup, thin burger patty) for 10 euros! Best to take your own lunchbox with you. It's allowed!

Wonderful place for a lengthy day visit. Tickets can be bought well in advance online. Ample parking from the park is available nearby. Farthest parking spot, might be quite a lot of walk to reach the park. Parking is paid as well. There is quite a bit to walk here, to cover the park. But, it is a very planned and nice walk.

Awesome place to visit for young and old. A very big park with beautiful buildings and enough space for the animals. Divided into multiple sections you visit different "regions or continents" throughout the park with lots of (exotic) animals to see. The architecture is very beautiful. You also have lots of places to eat and drink (bit pricey for the quality but that's usually so at these places). You need a full day or to return multiple times to properly visit the entire park and see everything. Big car parks available at daily fee or you can go by train and walk from the train station. Can get very busy in weekends or during the holidays when the weather is nice.

A beautiful place great enclosures for the animals, but make sure you come during the cooler days when the animals are more active. The reason for the 4 star was, they said it was mandatory for masks in the park, their rules but I would say at least 25-30% were not wearing their masks or completely off mouth and nose.

Most probably the best zoo experience. I can imagine that all zoos should be like this - proper zones for animals, and good conditions. This place is probably the closest you will get short of a full safari. Great experience for kids. All places are built to be easily visited by kids, most areas are accessible with strollers. I recommend a full day. There is enough parking for everyone. Be sure to pay for the parking when buying your entrance.

Probably the best Zoo we have ever been to. It’s so big that it’s barely possible to see everything within a single day. So they even have few hotels on the territory. Number of different areas is countless :) We got to visit it for a second time and still were founding new areas. There are number of food trucks and restaurants as well so you can find lots of different things on your taste. Walking traits, sight seeing spots, decorations, real nature, lots of absolutely different locations… This place owns the best marks!

What an enormous zoo/Parc 😍 You need to spend a large day to walk it and see it all! Very nice decorated for Halloween not to scary for the kids.. and when the night falls omg how beautiful with all the lights on.. The animals all live in a big environment and you can see how happy they are 😍 You can feed an elephant en he gives you a bump with his trunk 😂.. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.. We did the all you can eat Chinese and I would go back anytime 😊 I recommend this to anyone 💜

I had the most incredible experience at Pairi Daiza near Mons in Belgium! This zoo is by far the best and largest I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. With its diverse areas to explore, my family and I spent a total of four weekends here and still haven't seen everything. This brings me to a crucial point – the annual membership is an absolute must, especially for families. The zoo's sheer size makes it nearly impossible to see everything in just one day. What truly amazed me was how closely we could interact with the animals. In the Australian zone, for instance, there are no fences around the kangaroos, allowing you to get up close and personal with these incredible creatures. Pairi Daiza offers a unique and unforgettable wildlife experience that's truly unparalleled. I can't recommend it enough!

This place is fun, beautiful and incredibly well maintained. Buy the ticket online, it's faster. Not an expert on the topic, but the zoo is regarded as one of the best zoos worldwide also for animal wellbeing and research. The ticket is not cheap (42 euros) but the place is huge and it takes a full day (even more if you stop watching carefully) to be visited. I came by train and it's a 10-15 min walk from the station, it is doable! There's so much to see and do. Only thing it could improve is the food stands. Quite pricey , but that's okay nonetheless.

This animal park is huge it has different worlds it has 7000 animals. We visited during Halloween there was spooky atmosphere staff in masks, music and other events, 3D light projections. You can spend a whole day and won't see everything. We had seasonal tickets for one year. Entrance is quite expensive but worth it. You can spend some time inside of the area where kids can play. There is also restaurants and many kiosks with food.

Hi, We went with high expectations. Due to Covid-19 and the announced extra measures that were taken, we expected that it would be not crowded at all. Well, it was really crowded.. Keeping distance was not possible. So we had to wear a mask all day. There was no check at all on the number of people entering buildings (such as the aquarium). Before we went we checked the possibilities to eat in the park itself. It was promising, but they did not deliver: almost everything was closed and the one's that were open only served French fries, burgers, or pancakes (of bad quality). So I guess if we went in another period of time if would have been a better experience, but for now it really was disappointing. Rgds,

This is the most beautiful zoo I have ever visited. Not only the animals are worth your time, but the theming is phenomenal. Just like you went on a trip al around the world in just one day! This is a trip that the whole family will enjoy together The only complaint I had visiting the park is the crowd. There are too many people in the park so that social distancing isn't possible. People Will just stand next to you like Covid-19 doesn't exist. So I would definitely go back after the whole pandemic.

  • 4/5 Joren V. 3 years ago on Google
I really like the park, I love going there, I like what they're doing with the breeding programs and everything, I highly recommend that you pay extra for the train ride around the park, I just really wish that the signage was better... How to get to the nearest toilet is never easy to figure out, especially in the newer areas of the park, and the maps are so hard to read that they don't help at all. Pretty frustrating.

No wonder Pariri daiza is repeatedly voted best zoo in Europe. They have thought about covid 19 and have plenty of hand sanitizer dotted about the park too.

  • 4/5 Albrecht C. 3 years ago on Google
Lovely environment and beautiful scenery. The animals have quite large spaces and the positive thing is this park is invested in many programs to improve animal welfare and the conservation of species and habitats. It is quite pricy, but keep in mind you are supporting the animal welfare! There are a variety of restaurants and snack bars in the park with some of them delivering horrible food and other serving great bites. You can see the park in one day, but it is nice to wander slowly and sometimes sit and enjoy some animals for hours on end.

Encore merci.

Went during Covid-19, so the park had a few restrictions but not a lot. Was still very cramped. Some animals have a lot of space but others are in small cages. The aquarium building is outdated and small. On a monkey Island, a monkey stole something from my bag and I ended up fighting it to get it back. No-one from the zoo was around. Been there done that, won't be coming again.

The zoo it's nice, it's very big and there are a lot of things to see. Negative points: It was kind of hard to find my way from the train station. I think the way for people coming by train should be better indicated, also, inside the park it's very easy to get lost, they could also indicate better where things are, I had a hard time finding some animals and by the end of the day I was so tired because its a big park and, as a mentioned, with little indications, so I left early because we were tired of walking around trying to find some of the animals we wanted to see.

  • 5/5 Kenneth F. 3 years ago on Google
Very nice zoo.. With covid-times they did everything to make it possible to vist.. Really thumbs Up.. Little sidenote.. Take a mask for the kids along, as the part of monkeys is mask mandatory from 3y old.. This of course to present covid to cross over to monkeys..

Very good scenery, the spirit and the atmosphere of the wild life inhabitants is very well delivered to the visitors. I believe that the hole experience does not worth the money. Before visiting we were convinced to extend the day pass to the season pass. During our day visit, we decided not to because the time was enough to explore the hole park. It definitely didn't worth another day.

  • 4/5 Gauthier H. 3 years ago on Google

It's the best zoo in Europe, and one of the must-do of Belgium. It's a truly wonderful place to be. The best parts are the Chinese, African and South Asian part, the new North American part feel a bit too Disney-like. The parc is enormous with tons of things to do and see, make sure you get there as early as you can.

Very big in size and good amount of animals... But not a great experience like the Zoo in Mulhouse, France. In Pairi Daiza Polar Bear, Panda, Kangaroo, Lion, Tiger are must visit.. There is a place inside named Kingdom of Ganesha where lot of Elephants can be found. Also Lord Ganesha statue.

Pairi Daiza is one of the best places to visit. The territory is huge, one day is not enough if you want to visit every part of it. Even as an adult you get amazed by the animals and the atmosphere in which they live. Definitely the most wonderful zoo I have ever visited.

No doubt why it is named the best zoo in Europe. Wide variety of animals. I felt like visiting different countries on the same day. I also felt animals are happy and taken good care. They also feel happy to live like in their own habitat, so well planned and organized. Awesome. Must visit .

There is no question that this is the best zoo in the North East and possibly the country. This zoo is beautifully landscaped well maintained and all the exhibits are incredibly well managed and natural. All of the animals are active alert healthy and comfortable. Many of them interacting with guests. I love the educational information at each exhibit and credit to donations. Due To the pandemic a few small areas are closed or have barriers but they do not inhibit the over all experience. You can easily spend the whole day here and is safe for young children. I got there early and also like how they are only selling so many tickets per hour and you must book ahead on line it really cuts down on the crowds and I hope that they continue to sell tickets this way. It makes for a much more enjoyable time not having to battle crowds

Went to see the Christmas lights at the Cincinnati zoo. They did not disappoint. The evening was rainy and cold but I really had a great time with my girls. we have been visiting the lights at the Cincinnati zoo since they were little. The rain did cause issues with the train so we were not able to ride it. Some of the inside exhibits were closed just for safety protocol. The lights were gorgeous as always. We got to see Elsa and Anna. And of course we rode the carousel. I am very glad that I made the decision to renew our family membership. Ohio is very lucky that we have so many amazing zoos in one state. I grew up going to the Toledo zoo, it will always always be my favorite but the Cincinnati zoo and the Columbus zoo are a close second.

Pairi Daiza is litterally a paradise for people who want make great pictures of wild animals. You have a lot of clear views and backgrounds that look pretty natural. With a good camera and a 200mm lens, and of course alot of patience, you can take some great shots. Plan a complete day, by preference on a rather sunny days. On site all is well organised and corona-proof. One last advice, dont take yr girlfriend with you - unless she is a photographer too :D . Wauw, beautiful zoo. Especially Asia is nicely built. The zoo provides a spaceous living for the animals. It's too large for a 1 day visit, therefore we stayed in the pairi daiza resort. Very expensive, but it's worth every euro!

Clean, well managed, and really impressing panda side with marvelous Chinese buildings. Even if we visited during the covid period, we never felt any threat. We plan to go back later during summer time.

Very nice zoo, huge property and quite a lot of different animals. This was our second time there and reaching there early to be able to cover as much as you can is highly recommended. We couldn't cover all at once on both the occasions that we have now been there. Though the previous time the zoo train helped a lot in covering a big part of the zoo. The train is highly recommended if and when it restarts post the pandemic. They also have a huge sand play are / playground. Your kids will end up spending quite a few hours there like ours did but the good thing is parents have a huge sitting area next to the play area where they can relax eat and read.

Genuinely the best zoo I have every been to. Not just the animals, but the grounds too. Really clean and tidy with loads of sheltered car parking. We took a picnic, l recommend eating it by the Aztec pyramid, lots of cover on a hot sunny day. We got there around 0945 and were allowed in before the animals came out (Which is probably about 10.30) it was really quiet at first but when we left at 1700 it was extremely busy. A fantastic family day out!

It is a magical place... Just heavenly. I'm not sure if I can describe the incredible feeling it has left in my heart. Super wonderful, well-designed place, where I don't feel like I'm watching animals in cages. They seem happy too, they run around, play and live their lives. The only thing I'd advise after buying a ticket is making sure you spend the whole day there, because it's huge and hard to walk all around. Enjoy😇

Words cannot describe this amazing place. A special experience for everyone even if you are alone or with a family or friends. Many cultures and environments in one place, and you need at least 2 days to discover it. Many kinds of animals and some of them are rare and you cannot see it in other places, you can try the train tour, many restaurants, gift shops, and more and more activities and also they have rooms and accommodation. If you are looking for a special experience Pairi Daiza will be the best experience ever. Highly recommended

This is the most beautiful zoo I've ever seen, thus far. In the last vacation (two weeks ago) it was a little bit to crowded, but perhaps that was because the park was yust opening its doors. Because of that I must return soon, to see the things I missed. I really love the interior of the zoo, with the nice temples, the small details on the tiles on the floor and so on. If your in the area I recommend you to visit this zoo.

This zoo is incredible! It's so immersive and massive. It would be hard to see and interact with everyone in just one day. We stayed in the Polar Bear room and that was truly a unique experience. There was a hiccup with the polar bears not being in their enclosure when we checked in at 3pm that was rather frustrating. But the overall experience was super unique.

  • 5/5 Lorenzo V. 1 year ago on Google
Simply incredible! The park is amazing and it’s so big you almost need two days to visit it, there are so many animals and everything is really well displayed, I’d suggest to everybody to visit it, maybe the only tip to avoid the big crowds is to choose a week day and not a holiday

  • 5/5 Ed Chen (. 1 year ago on Google
We stayed in one of the polar bear rooms. It was wonderful seeing them feed the polar bears. The polar bear was right on the other side of the glass. Overall the resort is very nice. The grounds are beautiful. The animals are in nature-like environments. Most of the staff understands and speaks English. There were a couple groundskeepers who were new that had difficulty, but all the typical staff, that you interact with, speak English. The only downside from our visit was that part of the southern cape environment was under maintenance. As a result, we could not see koalas and echidnas. I also did not realize how far it was from Brussels. We booked Econom Airport Shuttles to get to/from the train station and Pairi Daiza. I needed to communicate with the drivers a bit to tell them where to go and pick us up. The hotel parking lot is separate from the main entrance. The signs are easy to follow. Just allow extra time for transportation.

Awesome place! But the signs/infrastructure aren't that clear. Trying to find restaurants or certain exhibits can be a real challenge. And there is a LOT to see. If you want to see everything, you should count a whole day from opening time until closing AT LEAST. Ideally you wanna get a hotel room or a cabin in the park so you can spend 2 days discovering everything.

  • 4/5 Emmeline 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely magnificent park! Having lived in Indonesia, I truly feel like I'm back there each time I go to Pairi Daiza! Other than the 🇮🇩 part, others are very nice too. Oceania and North America are super too. The animals are also o' very good condition and well taken care of it's lovely to seethe animal helpers so involved and caring. I did however take one star away for several reasons... The food available there was overpriced. It was in full heat and there were no drinkable water points available ANYWHERE. You were obliged to buy water from the shops. Because of the heat they were 50% off but even then the price was still high. I think it's scandalous that no running drinkable water is anywhere to be seen. At the toilets, non drinkable water stickers are everywhere. Last but not least: this is a park where stroller will obviously be, why on earth did they put gravel everywhere?! It's a strollers nightmare! Same goes for the sand at the picnic tables. Perhaps some sturdier & stronger floors would be best. In a nutshell great park but with still some room for improvements.

Utterly Incredible place. Absolutely huge, we needed the 2 days booked there if not longer to properly explore. Incredibly well thought out enclosures for the animals. Everything was thought of for guests also. Beautifully landscaped, planting & decorations. 100% will be coming back! Wear comfortable shoes as it's a lot of walking (31,000 steps on our 1st day there, totally worth the sore feet)

  • 5/5 Jonas Van de V. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful, spacious park with an amazing level of detail throughout the park There are a lot of different trails so it's never too crowded, except for the beginning of the park (before everyone takes their own path) The enclosures are very big, but you can see the animals perfectly. The park is very big to do comfortably in one day. It's possible, but you can't take too many breaks in that case. There are plenty of hotel rooms, some of which have epic views of the animals. (What about waking up with a polar bear swimming right in front of your window!) It's not a cheap park, but definitely worth it's money. Don't be alarmed when you find yourself driving along some small roads, it's normal. The arrows, already in place 10min before you arrive, will guide you.

Pairi Daiza covers an expansive area of approximately 140 acres, making it one of the largest zoos in Europe. The park is divided into different themed areas, each representing a specific region or habitat, such as the African Savannah, Indonesian Archipelago, and Kingdom of Ganesha. This place is home to a diverse range of animal species from around the world. Visitors can encounter animals like elephants, giraffes, lions, tigers, pandas, gorillas, penguins, and many more. The zoo places an emphasis on providing spacious and natural habitats for the animals, allowing them to thrive in environments that closely resemble their natural habitats. Alongside the animal exhibits, Pairi Daiza features stunning botanical gardens with a vast collection of plants and flowers. The gardens are beautifully landscaped, showcasing various themed areas like the Japanese Garden, Chinese Garden, and Rose Garden. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks, admire the colorful displays, and experience a tranquil atmosphere. These include ancient buildings, temples, pagodas, and other structures imported from different countries, creating an immersive experience reminiscent of a journey around there . The zoo is committed to the protection and preservation of endangered species, supporting various breeding programs and conservation projects worldwide. Additionally, educational activities and interactive exhibits are available to inform visitors about wildlife conservation and environmental awareness. Apart from the animals and gardens, Pairi Daiza offers additional attractions such as bird shows, sea lion presentations, and various themed experiences. Visitors can also enjoy dining options, souvenir shops, and accommodations within the park.

Mixed emotions about it. It is indeed the biggest zoo I have ever seen and the animals there are incredible. It was the first time to ever see polar bears!! Just amazing!! The white tiger was also a wonderful animal to admire ! The only painful thing is how expensive everything is there! Literally everything is over priced!! If you are planning to go I highly advise you to take everything with you! The day we visited was tooo hot our water bottles were boiling hot! We were forced to buy cold water bottles! Really not okay to pay over 3€ for a small bottle of water! Seeing the restaurant prices you will not find anything cheaper than €40/person! Parking ticket is €10 Better to book online to avoid lines.

  • 5/5 Maja De B. 11 months ago on Google
Most beautiful zoo there is. The animals have large enclosures which is great and a natural environment. You can find yummy food everywhere in the park! The tickets are quite expensive but the park is huge and has such an enormous variety of animals. So I find the price to be correct. We normally spend approximately 7 hours here.

  • 5/5 Matteo C. 11 months ago on Google
Surely the most beautiful zoo I have ever been to. Firstly, the park is huge, you need a whole day if you wish to see everything. Secondly, it’s really clean and well managed, you are bound to meet the caretakers and ground keepers. Thirdly, if you haven’t prepared your meal in advance, you will more than likely find something that will make you happy. There are plenty of restaurants within the park. In other words, you shouldn’t miss this gorgeous zoo.

  • 4/5 Vivek C. 11 months ago on Google
Beautiful zoo with themed enclosures. When planning to visit, plan to utilize the entire opening hours from 10-6pm. We weren't able to complete all the sections but this means there's definitely another visit in the future. One star less due to lack of easy public transport.

  • 4/5 Borian D. 10 months ago on Google
The zoo is great! Architecturally-speaking, it’s impressive. Beware of the fact that a lot of animals might never show up during your visit. But that makes sense. They are not circus beasts. If you like zoos, Pairi Daiza is definitely a yes. If you struggle with the concept of a zoo, Pairi Daiza achieves what most of the other don’t – trying their best to respect the animals and give them as good of a life as possible. Some species can even wander around freely among visitors. There is always room for further improvement, but mainstream zoos sure have a lot to learn from Pairi Daiza.

  • 5/5 Lucas C. 9 months ago on Google
The park is amazing ! And continuously improving ! Spent the night for the second time this year 😊 The first experience was so great we had to come back (and will come again) ! Staying in a lodge is expensive but totally worth it, because you can enjoy the park later at night and earlier in the morning, when the one-day visitors have left 🤩 The park gets calm and the animals start their night life, always a pleasure to observe 😌 Eating in the park is more than what you'd expect, some restaurants even offer more sophisticated menus, but comfort food can be found almost everywhere 😋 Don't forget location influences prices 😅 The whole park is a must-see ! But still try and plan your visits with the feeding schedule, that way observing animals is more entertaining! This can be done very easily, using the paper map given upon entrance or the app, both free-of-charge 😊 I strongly recommend visiting this zoological park, note that it has received multiple times the title of "Best Zoo of Europe" 🥇

What an amazing collection of architecture, art and animals. I love zoos and this was one of the best I have been to. The animal enclosures are constantly being improved and they have separated the zoo into themes. They were currently building the Japan area.

Pairi Daiza is probably the most unusual zoo you can visit anywhere in Europe. Both zoo and botanical gardens are more like a theme park than a zoo. 7000+ animals in 160 acres of an old Cistercian Abbey but all homed in large themed sections designed to mimic the animal's home environment. You can view the animals from bridges or terraces: giraffes can be seen up close from head level in a tree terrace. A large mansion in the centre is one enormous walk through aquarium. There's a lot to see here but there is a hotel on site that has rooms adjacent to and below water level of the dolphin pool. Amazing sight to wake up to.

I love Pairi Daiza; I have been here 3 different times and each time we had a blast; furthermore we always find something new to see. It is a quite big zoo; there are many animals and things to do. The different zones of the zoo are beautiful to explore. Comfy clothes and shoes are highly advised.

Absolutely brilliant experience. It's one of the best zoos I have visited. Enclosures are well kept and very spacious. The bears are a must-see. You won't be disappointed. Well maintained and very clean. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Will return!

The most stunning zoo we've been to. So many animals, lovely staff and the setting is out of this world beautiful. Definitely worth a visit or 6!

The most beautiful zoo I have ever seen! You need more than one day to see everything. Collection of animals is just amazing! All animals are in perfect condition that means they are under very good care.

This zoo park is incredible! I do not have words to describe how beautiful it is. And recommend visiting, you have so much to see.

Such a magical experience. The park itself is beautiful. Each part is carefully designed to suit the region it represents. The entrance to the park is stunning. Patking was really easy and there were lots of picnic areas dotted around for you to sit and eat. We spent 5 hours here and still could have seen more. It was really worth the ticket price. Our son of 5 years was mesmerised by the whole thing. The boat with the reptiles on was great. Our favourite were the penguins, we could have sat and watched them all day.

Bester Zoo Europas! 😆

OK, so I am not a big fan of zoos for the obvious reason that I don't enjoy looking at animals in captivity. However this was a family day with others and so I went along. The park is huge and very well maintained. The animals look healthy and most of them have a bit of space to move. The park flora and set up is absolutely beautiful. There's enough to see for a whole day and more, with plenty of places to sit and rest. Lots of clean toilets too. It's very busy but as the park is enormous you don't feel the crowd. The entry price is very expensive, 42€ per person, children of 12+ are considered as adults.

This is not just a zoo, this is a place where they show you they care and give love to animals that sadly would never have such a life in the wild because of how cruel humans can be. Great experience, train ride gave you a nice overall view. So much to see that one day is barely enough

It's more than a zoo, it's a theme park with animals 💕 Beautifully crafted background created an immersive experience. Tips: Wear comfortable shoes and bring water with you! A small bottle of water costs 3 euro, there's no drinking water fountain available inside either.

As usual a very nice experience. They made a new entrance and it's gorgeous. A little over priced but worth it if you go during the week days when every one is at work or at school. Bring your lunch and drinks, you need to be Bill Gates to afford a meal there. Plus the meal will make you sick. We visit the park once a year and it's always a pleasure !

Nice zoo but still a zoo. The accommodation in Polar bear house was really nice and unique as you had the chance to see the bears swimming and playing. The way that the place is build is really nice and you feel in connection with the nature. But the service is really mediocre the staff don’t speak English and the service in Izba restaurant is basic with nobody taking care to clean and keep the place under control. So you prefer to don’t eat at the end. And the animals are still in a zoo so we will never comeback

We went Veterans Day weekend 2023 and stayed in the resort in the Bear/Wolf Full Moon Lodge 1 for one night. Dinner and breakfast buffet were included as well as two days in the zoo. Family of 5. Great experience and we all highly recommend it!
