The staff went out of their way to help, even brought a carafe of water over saying it hot today. Lovely layout with a front and back patio. Well worth a visit!

You need to be patient here. The personnel just doesn't pay enough attention if you want to order something, and when you order it, go look at your watch and be astonished by how much time they left you waiting. Honestly, nice place and all, but pricy and I don't feel spending that much money to be waiting 20min for belgian fries. Also, this is not a café. It's a restaurant, don't come here waiting for marvelous coffee.

I visited this place three times during my stay here. Nice place and atmosphere, the service is always good, helpful staff, we enjoyed our breakfast and coffee. The croissant, omelet, and scrambled egg with salmon were yummy! Few points: limited menu and kinda pricy (egg, cheese, coffee and orange juice 14€, hummus 12€). The pancakes were not good I couldn’t complete, it has strong egg smell. I wish to see more breakfast options next time. I wish if there was English menu, it would have been much more easier for us. Thank you

Went on a busy Sunday morning. We didn’t have to wait long to find a table, but cleaning it took at least 5-10 minutes. Ordering was fine, but the food took quite a long while. The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. The chai latte was very good and the orange juice was fresh squeezed. All in all, a pleasant place, but maybe not worthy of a detour.

We waited forever for them to take the order for drinks, until I had to chase the waitress! After 20 minutes of having ordered fondue, they came to say there is no fondue and when we wanted to oder something different they said a 40-minute waiting time was needed. When it was the moment to pay, it’s only credit card… no cash accepted. Honestly very bad service!

Pleasant atmosphere at this restaurant, perfect for dinner and brunches. Don't be surprised if a train comes out of the bushes! Their back terrace is literally on a train platform so you might have a few trains passing very close to your table. That's actually an experience. The menu is quite limited with some pastas, salads, tartare and burgers. Recipes are quite simple. The food is tasty but some plates are extremely overpriced. For example one croquette of shrimps is 8.5 euros. Kind of scandalous if I may say. Ok selection of desserts and ice creams. The bill was expensive considered what we ate but the overall experience was nice. I would go again.

Food was fresh and tasty, just a bit expensive for the size of the dish. Atmosphere is nice even if it can get a little loud at times. Great place!

Good food, plenty to choose from. The shared dishes were perfect. Service was friendly and apt, atmosphere was amazing. Pet friendly and wheelchair accessible :)

I found their burger to be quite satisfying, and my fiancé spoke highly of the quality of their tartare steak. What made the visit even more special, once, when i was celebrating my best friend birthday here. The staff went above and beyond, even singing a birthday song for her. It's these thoughtful gestures that make dining at Le Refuge a memorable.

Lovely place and great service. Had a business meeting over breakfast. Very enjoyable.

Probably my favorite restaurant in Brussels. Fair prices, quality food, good/friendly service, decent wine, nice beer selection. I'm almost regretting this review because I don't want anyone else going there and taking up spaces my family could use. The only area of improvement might be the menu could be slightly more child friendly for young kids.

The terrace is nice and so is the interior, toilets were clean and easily accessible. The service is average, the waiters and waitresses aren't the most attentive ones and it can be hard work to get their attention. But they're generally friendly and helpful. Prices are certainly on the high end for the quality and amount of food you get. But the vegetable lasagna is a joke. The portion is so tiny, it can hardly count as an appetizer and the price is 19.5€, incredibly ridiculous. The hamburger seemed an ok size, but with 22€ also quite pricey, can't judge the quality, haven't tried. The lasagna was too salty and far too oily: so expensive, bad quality and a ridiculous quantity. The prices for drinks are ok-ish, but also on the higher end. I wouldn't recommend for food, but it's a nice place for an after-work drink.

We enjoyed a yummy vegetarian plate and also lunch of the day with Asian flavoured beef. Both meals were delicious. Nice atmosphere as well.

Never seen such a horrible and terrible waiter . We had a coffee with us from outside and the “waiter” actually told us that we are not allowed with it. Then made a big scene. Stay away, plenty of other nice places in St Job

Sunday morning. The place is almost empty. Two waitresses on duty. After 20 minutes without anyone coming to take my order, I decide to leave. Perfect brunch. A great opportunity for losing some weight. Thank you, LE REFUGE !

Generally very good food, and a really beautiful setting with lovely terraces, but the service can be terrible. Some of the staff are very friendly, others... not so much. It often seems very understaffed and it's difficult to catch the eye of a waiter, and then when you do order you often have to wait a long time for your food.

Good food and a great place inside and out. Looking forward to try the other dishes in the menu.

Nice setting, hot drinks ok. Lot of room inside and outside! But service just ok and no respect of safety covid measures (no one asked for the sanitary pass, waiters didn't wear their masks). So we went outside...

First visit today but definitely not the last. Nice atmosphere, drinks and service. Have not tried the food today (except for a delicious croissant) but it look delicious. Update: Still enjoy my visits. Must confess, I still haven't tried the food.
