I used to love this place. Today, coffee is served in cardboard cups, no glasses served with e.g. sparkling water. Capuccino has no coffee taste. Besides that, all the queer/trendy ambient cool staff and public is gone.

Very chilled place in the centre of Brussels. With good quality coffee (not the best on my EU list, but very good). Great, friendly, and nice service. The small tables outside are a good place to relax. The banana bread was OK as well.

That was a lovely coffee/snack bar. I went on a Saturday morning the place was very crowded, however the service was top. It was very fast to order and get served, and the staff members communicate well in English. I tried the toast with goat cheese and walnuts and I have to say this is the largest amount of cheese I have ever seen put on a toast, and it was very delicious. Espresso was really good, the same of what to expect from a good coffee bar.

Based on the amazing pastries, perfect location, excellent coffee beans and free tap water I really want to like this place. But it’s also a superb example of how Belgians don’t know how to run a business. The place is often overcrowded and the upstairs constantly feels like a coworking space, where nobody talks/orders drinks and just works on their laptop. It’s a coffee bar, and yet: The staff more often than not doesn’t know how to take an order on the tab. It’s “too complicated, I would have to remember everything the customer orders”. It’s like they are unaware restaurants do this and have solutions… It is obviously understaffed and closes very early because, what person would ever want coffee after 5pm? And the music is extremely hit and miss. Sometimes it’s okay. The other day though they just straight up played something I would best describe as “95dB white noise produced by a washing machine rinsing broken dishes on high speed”. What a joke. I think they just wanted to kick customers out since 17:00 was approaching. All in all, a place that doesn’t live up to its incredible potential. I hope they can improve because it genuinely could be amazing.

This place is exactly what I looked for in Brussels: it feels like a living room, there are things to read, bars and big tables to share. The coffee is really good!! The service is great. I almost feel bad for the amount of work they do walking up and down for drinks. Please go here, take a newspaper, have fun, and be a kind customer by picking up your drinks and cleaning up :)

This coffee shop is in a fairly busy street near the centre and it's usually always full. I always walk by it and see a row of people sitting outside. It's a great location for people watching. Saturday morning at 11AM was only half full. The lemon tart was very fresh. The texture rich and creamy with a moist crumbly pie crust. The artichoke spread toast was delicious, but the bread a bit more toasted than I would prefer. The menu itself has some brunch items, but quite carb heavy. Great coffee drinks all served with a speculoos cookie. This is the only coffee shop I've seen in Brussels that has a water tap available. There is also an upstairs to the space.

Serious coffee!! Was in Brussels for a few days and needed my coffee fix. OR Coffee gave me that in spades! Strong and creamy flat whites... who could ask for more? And they are an ethical business: direct fair trade sourced beans. Thanks for a great start to my days. ❤️

This is definitely the best espresso I have tried in Brussels and is on par with good third-wave coffee shops in the US. Nothing else I have had in Brussels comes close. Will definitely seek this place out in the future.

Conveniently located in the city this coffee shop is a nice place to grab a drink. They have plenty to choose from for both coffee or tea lovers. Cake and sweets are also served here. And if you really love the coffee or tea you drank earlier they have beans and tea leaves that you can also purchase here. We ordered both cold brew options of the tea and coffee and really enjoyed it. The taste was very smooth and very refreshing on a hot day. There's plenty of seating both inside or out if you want to stay to enjoy your drink and people watch. Staff is quick and friendly.

completely incompetent staff. Thaw CROWD of people is waiting to make an order while baristas (all 3 of them) completely ignore the customers and chat near the bar. Later that are unable to bring the drink because they can’t work with the table system they made up. They also could completely forget about the drink you already paid for. We waited 20 minutes before going downstairs and finding out that the drink was never even made. Then after a reminder they finally brought it, but it was lacking ingredients. Also even though more than half of menu is cold drinks, they do not have ice (not written anywhere, so they could not serve most part of things they offer. In the bathroom everything is broken. Table placement is awful. Coffee 1/10 The place looks good but it’s the only positive thing about it

Coffee is really good. Cozy sitting arrangements. Service is a bit late but it could be due to the rush hours and staff shortage. Carrot cake and banana cake is recommended. Coffee recommendation: oraccino

This was the specialty coffee shop of my choice to visit my first time in Brussels in 2019. The coffee was great back then, very busy, and friendly staff, espresso was served on a little glass, cappuccino in a normal Acme. Unfortunately I visited last week to the surprise that all coffee is served exclusively on cardboard. On top of it, I don’t know if the cardboard cups are that bad quality or if they don’t rinse the paper filter to brew their coffee, but mine tasted like cardboard.

No longer Ana Attento which was a surprise having followed Google maps to the location. It’s now Izy Coffee. Only tried Izy Coffee once before recently so I thought it worth a try to see if the coffee was as good here as it was there. Yes it was! Oat milk flat white was made with great flavoured coffee and hot oat milk! Kora the whippet was welcomed in by the friendly and professional staff. Hopefully Izy Coffee comes to Scotland.

Came here for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised at their tea selection which were imported straight from Taiwan! We also ordered their breakfast toasts which tasted very good. They bring the food directly to your table and all the servers were extremely nice. Would highly recommend!

A nice and quaint place to come and have breakfast with a friend or multiple friends. Also a good place to study until the crowds start to pick up and the place becomes a bit chaotic. There is good and adequate seating considering how small the venue is which is definitely a bonus when it is busy.

  • 5/5 Ryan B. 4 years ago on Google
What a great coffee stop on my day trip to Brussels. The service was great, even though it was very crowded. The atmosphere is cozy although the place is quite small. There is an upstairs area for seating too. Most lattes I order taste somewhat the same, but the latte I had here was truly deliscious. I look forward to coming back again! Must visit if you're looking for great coffee in Brussels.

One of the best coffee shops in the city center and near the Grande Place, OR does coffee right. A mix of espresso drinks and food, and classic wood and brick coffeehouse vibe with upstairs seating. Feels almost like a compelling space at times. Tends to be more of a Flemish crowd, but is welcoming to all. Grab your laptop and a hot beverage and relax!

I have had good coffees here before but the filter coffee I had today wasn't good. It didn't taste anything like a classic Ethiopian natural and had a really bad ashy aftertaste. I noticed afterwards that it was an espresso roast. They should have mentioned this when I ordered...

(Translated by Google) Can do better. This coffee has potential but needs to improve. The longo that I ate there was very well done. No complaints. In terms of setting and service, there is a lot to review. The staff at the counter seemed disorganized to me. Despite the small number of customers present, it took a while to be able to order. In addition, after settling in I had to fetch my coffee at the counter myself and carry it to my table in front of a waiter who did not seem very busy to me. However, table service is supposed to be included in the price (which is not the least expensive). I note that the lady who presumably officiated at the juice and pastry shop is the only employee to have smiled at me during the service. As for the frame, I think we should rethink the arrangement (or even the relevance) of the furniture given the limited space available. This applies more to the second floor. Floor whose too warm lighting and a little too loud music combined with a too low ceiling generate a suffocating atmosphere. Reason why I could not work on my PC as planned. Finally, maybe we should think about adding electrical outlets throughout the cafe. There are barely three in the entire second floor. Which happens to be the largest room. Bravery ! (Original) Peut mieux faire.

This place was the highlight of our Belgian experience. To me, it is the quintessential peaceful, yet lively coffee shop you picture when you think of romantic moments abroad. My husband and I loved their lattes. They take credit card. They have fantastic food as well, the baristas are all very professional and take great pride in their careers. Anyone staying in Brussels should get a chance to visit this place.

Ok place for coffee. The sandwiches where a mixed experience. Mozarella and ham are a good combination. The bread was dry and cheese was far from melted. The ricotta and avocado on a huge (really thick) slice of bread, where quite underwhelming, balsamic vinegar did not help much. It gets quite busy during peak hours so I don't expect a quick bite.

Absolutely lovely, tasty, colourful, healthy and fresh food. And great coffee. It wasn’t super cheap but also priced in line with the quality and location. Good size portions, for those of you who like a good feed and are used to London’s dainty plates (for worse prices). Great location, outdoor seating in full sun if you want to people watch in the sunshine. Nice staff. Very good experience. Go go go. I’ve favourited it and would deff go back if I was in Brussels again.

Cappuccino is one of the signature drinks of any coffee shop - if you manage to mess that one up, it does not exactly speak highly of your skills. The cappuccino was a very milky coffee, with a millimeter thin foam cover. Milk also tasted a bit sour and old. The complimentary chocolate was already completely melted in the packaging. 🤔

One of the best places in Brussels for coffee. They offer good choices of espresso, blend and single origin. It is also the best I found in Belgium for filter coffee, roasted by them. You can find anything from V60 to Kalita to cold brew. They also offer coffee supplies such as filters, etc.

I have been visiting this coffee on a daily basis. Sometimes twice or more. I am not sure why it opens so late though, It would be nice to get a coffee a 7 or 8. But it sadly opens at 9. Be careful, sometimes you need to wait for 15 minutes to get your coffee. In a central location you d expect them to be staffed differently. The poor guy had to deal with angry customers asking for refunds. And don’t you dare come in when the tables are inside. This lady will give you the look of death.. probably childhood issues… did i forget to mention that It also close very early.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything positive to share. As a coffee shop in the city center, this place should be quick, easy to pass by to grab a coffee and or to stay for a pleasant amount of time. We sat outside, but you need to order and pre-pay inside. My friend went to get her coffee inside and it took her 10 to 15 minutes in line, even if there were only three people waiting and three staff members working. After she got her coffee and came back, I went inside and after waiting way to long (there was noone else waiting before me) I ordered a cappuccino and a piece of cake at 16:52. I got the piece of cake immediately and was told to wait 5 minutes and that my cappuccino would come. My cappuccino never came and when I went inside to ask for it they had already cleaned the coffee machine and were preparing for closing. They said they couldn't make me a cappuccino now and offered that part of my money back but eventually improvised an iced coffee. This was was a nice effort which I accepted because I really needed a coffee, but it was still really bad. The waitress who had taken my order pretended she didn't heard what I said and didn't express any apologies. In the end, none of the experience was pleasant, and I lost 8€ which is equivalent to about 2 hours of pay in my home country... Please do better. Hope this is constructive and that you can make your business better.

Very good coffee, they have multiple brewing options you can choose from. The atmosphere is very quiet so it's great to study or catch up on emails

A place with great potential (good coffee, nice atmosphere) but needs some improvements. The pastries are not very appetizing, the tea is too expensive( 4.7e), no tea bags available to take away your tea so you have to wait until that the tea infuses properly which is not very helpful if you are in a hurry, could be open earlier....

On m’avait recommandé cet endroit pour un chai tea. Décevant. Rien à voir avec ceux dégustés en Inde…. Personnel très sympa It’s more likeThe weak tea that North Americans typically drink. It has the colour of dirty dishwater, almost no flavour, and no need for sugar (because it is so pale and spineless). It is nothing close to the version drunk by millions of Indians.

The pour over was good, and they have a variety of beans to choose from. The Spekulatius cheesecake was unfortunately way too sweet.

Good coffee, smiling staff, relaxed atmosphere and long queue for coffee. The single cappuccino is really small (micro), but the filter is what you need. They don't offer plastic cup lids, that's cool

Good environment I think there is chance to improve the coffee

Very nice cafe, it gets quite busy in the morning so you could be waiting in line for your coffee. The cakes looked amazing, I tried their pan au chocolate and it was very good! Staff speaks English, they accept Apple Pay.

One of the best cafes in Brussels, The staff are very friendly and willing to discuss coffee preferences, the menu has a good variety of sweets and coffee. Their coffee tasted amazing, i had to come back for bags of beans. Totally recommend.

The first cafe i stepped in during my first visit to Brussels. And then i kept going back every day!! It's very cosy and suitable for working, they serve specialty coffee and the staff is lovely. Thank you.

The staff could not understand the customer preference. Sometimes the customers wants a drink but hotter. Its not a lack of understanding its a preference. Intiles when a person can identify as a chair and not be questioned it seems odd a customer cant get extra Hot cappuccino.

Specialty coffee in the old center of Brussels. Great ambiance, great coffee, people sitting and reading the newspaper while enjoying good music and great coffee….. what else could you wish for 😃?!

Used to be my favourite hangout but staff really changed my mind during last visit. They were just chatting amongst themselves not acknowledging or telling customers that they'd be there soon, whilst a line was forming. Eventually the one the others called "assistant manager" took the till and just asked "yes, what?" The customer after me rolled her eyes at the attitude. Absolutely abysmal personnel on that particular day. Coffee is still Or, which is pretty decent, but my take away cappuccino has got to be the smallest size cappuccino I've ever had. Anywhere. Ever. Basically the cuo size of what you'd expect an espresso to be. Oh well. Plenty of alternatives in the city centre. I won't be going back here.

Very good coffee and a nice selection of products inside. Gets quite busy later in the day

The coffee is quite good, actually, and I've been here a few times. The last time, however (and certainly the last in this particular one), I showed up about 15 minutes before closing. I ordered 2 single espresso based drinks, which was met with "we're closing in 15 minutes...". Okay. Very cool, but unrelated. Thankfully, the person at the counter made the holy sacrifice of pulling a double shot into two different cups during their work time... albeit with a long face. So... yeah. Sorry for the inconvenience, I guess. My constructive criticism: don't make people feel unwelcome... if you want to close 15 minutes early, announce it.

Best coffee we had in Brussels. Cosy space to sit outdoors when the weather is nice

I used to love this place when it was called Ana Attento. The staff was friendly, diverse and the atmosphere was chilled. It’s still quiet but coffe is ONLY served in paper cups. An americano is 4€, served in a paper cup. There’s no table service. The decoration has a very straight/masculine feeling and definitely no personality. I won’t come back. As a Brussels citizen I feel like this is just one of those places made for tourists who won’t come back anyways so they feel free to abuse the customers with the prices and impersonal service.

There used to be another coffee shop before (OR). The cakes in this new place were good and not too sweet, and all were plant-based, which is great. But 14 euros for two small slices of cake is simply a ridiculous price, therefore overall only two stars. (Must be targeting tourists who get lost around the Bourse.)

👍👍 Amazing food, one of the best Eggs Benedict I ever had. This location is really crowded due to being in a city centre, but the service is fast and we got out food in less than 15 minutes. 2 things to be aware of: - their signature sauce is really spicy - fries are coated with rosemary (it can be ove...

👍👍 Easily the best waffles I've had so far. There are 2 options, Liege or Brussels. I suggest you try both. The Brussels waffle has a crunchy crust and a nice soft and airy interior. The Liege waffle has a softer still crunchy crust and a denser interior. Highly suggest eating here!
