This
is
a
very
nice
épicerie/store
with
some
really
lovely
produce.
Sadly
the
customer
service
today
was
absolutely
abhorrent.
After
happily
paying
€28
for
some
bags
of
pasta,
pesto,
tomato
sauce
and
granola,
as
I
was
ready
to
leave
the
store
and
bid
farewell
to
the
checkout
attendant,
she
asked
me
whether
I
was
taking
the
basket
I
had
put
the
produce
into
while
shopping.
I
said
no,
not
aware
that
taking
the
basket
was
even
an
option.
She
told
me
she
had
charged
me
for
the
basket.
Inadvertently.
No
problem
for
me,
no
need
for
drama.
Except
this
lady
decided
to
be
utterly
nasty
about
it.
I
-
the
one
who
had
been
overcharged
after
all
-
could
have
been
the
one
annoyed,
yet
I
was
not.
Mistakes
happen,
no
big
deal.
However,
she
very
aggressively
kept
repeating
how
"embêtant"
it
was
for
her
that
she
would
need
to
reimburse
me.
A
perfectly
nice
shopping
experience
destroyed,
all
goodwill
obliterated,
because
this
woman
felt
that
the
natural
response
to
a
small
mixup
was
to
be
absolutely
horrible.
I
asked
her
(very
politely)
a
few
times
why
it
was
so
"embêtant"
for
her.
This
annoyed
her
even
more.
The
irony
of
the
whole
thing
was
that
she
was
literally
having
an
argument
with
herself.
I
did
not
complain
at
being
overcharged,
I
was
perfectly
nice
and
calm
throughout,
yet
she
decided
to
be
nasty
to
a
customer
who
had
just
gone
out
of
his
way
to
spend
€28
(well
€23
after
the
reimbursement)
in
a
small,
local
business.
She
pointed
out
that
there
was
some
sign
explaining
something
or
other
about
the
baskets
-
that
I
should
have
known
how
the
system
worked.
My
bad
-
I
didn't
see
the
sign,
it
was
quite
small
to
be
fair.
A
perfectly
nice
shopping
experience
destroyed.
This
was
my
third
time
in
this
store
in
the
past
year,
I
always
drop
in
when
cycling
around
Watermael-Boitsfort.
Never
again.
I
never
write
Google
reviews,
but
am
not
content
to
let
this
woman
away
with
her
dreadful
behaviour.
My
only
regret
is
not
dumping
all
my
shopping
out
on
the
counter
and
asking
for
a
full
refund,
but
then
the
trip
to
the
store
would
have
been
a
complete
waste
of
time.
Le

lost
one
happy
customer

for
absolutely
no
reason.
