Upon
arriving
I
had
immediate
interest
in
not
only
the
beer
and
waffles,
or
chocolate,
but
for
the
burgers
as
well.
The
expectations
were
tethered
by
the
idea
that
many
of
the
best
burgers
were
in
the
United
States.
Only
one
other
person
of
the
group
ordered
food,
and
it
was
a
grilled
cheese.
Simple.
It
was
a
quick
stop
before
continuing
our
exploration.
Chez
would
be
our
first
restaurant
in
lovely
Belgium,
and
my
first
of
Europe.
It
did
not
disappoint.
The
establishment
alone,
like
others
here,
was
welcoming,
had
an
open
area
outside,
gave
a
cozy
feel
inside,
and
followed
the
European
aesthetic
the
rest
of
the
world
believes
all
of
Europe
to
have.
The
workers
are
relaxed
and
very
helpful.
When
presented
our
food
I
was
already
curious
into
what
the
hamburger
would
offer.
Initially,
it
was
too
different
for
me
to
enjoy,
however
it
did
not
lack
character,
and
was
not
of
bad
taste.
Throughout
the
meal
I
started
picking
up
small
things
added
to
the
burger,
and
the
way
the
burger
was
cooked
itself.
For
an
average
American
eater,
such
as
myself,
the
texture
may
be
off
putting
at
first.
This
should
not
deter
you.
That
burger
is
one
of
the
best
I
have
ever
had!
The
water
in
Europe
just
looks
cool.
As
far
as
the
grilled
cheese,
it
was
delicious,
but
does
not
bring
out
anything
out
of
the
ordinary.
I
mean,
it
is
just
a
grilled
cheese
with
ham.
Still,
that
did
not
take
away
the
experience
of
the
burger.
A
recommended
stop
for
a
quick
bite
to
eat.
