I love Peck, the food is usually really good. But it varies so much! Today, August 6th 2022, the service was very very bad. Not enough people, waiting for hours, sitting over dirty empty plates for 1 hour waiting to order something else… we spent like 150 euros but we were there 2 hours because of no one checking if we needed something, no one picking up our plates and empty glasses… And food wise, two salads were with dressing and two just without anything, dry greens. This place is not reliable anymore, I am thinking of not coming back.

Fantastic brunch in a lovely area. Ambiance is nice with Afrobeats playing in the background and the food was tasty. It got busy quite quickly after we arrived and the place isn’t big. Service was a bit slow but was friendly. Would definitely recommend.

One of the best places I ate at in Brussels, went 4 times, the waffles are amazing, eggs are perfect each time. Pancakes were so fluffy, just perfect

Really good and less queue compared to peck 47 next to Grand Place. One star missing just because of the average Belgian service (inferior compared to peck 47)

Was visiting Brussels and came here at the recommendation of friends. Showed up at noon to start Sunday off right. Atmosphere was energetic and lively, great place to connect with friends and enjoy a lazy afternoon. The fried chicken was the star and was absolutely delicious. Don’t make the same mistake I did in getting the granola bowl! (Which was also good but not nearly as good as the fried chicken)

Second morning in Brussels and we looked for a place to have breakfast and we came across Peck 20. The reviews are great and I trust my fellow yelpers so we checked them out. I can only say that we were seated within 3 minutes of arriving but after 30 minutes of waiting to have our order taken we decided to leave. There were some couples who waited 10 or 15 minutes and left but we wanted to give Peck 20 a chance to live up to the reviews. It didn't happen, we were never approached, told it would be a few minutes...nothing! I can only speak of our experience and I will never be back to Peck 20. The food may be good but my time is more valuable then waiting and waiting and not being acknowledged.

While I was looking forward to a delightful meal, the reality fell short. The pancake I ordered had a slightly burnt edge, which was quite disappointing. The waffle, which I had high hopes for, turned out to be neither as tasty nor as fluffy as I had anticipated. The portions were big and the ambiance had a cozy charm, but the food quality was a letdown.

This place used to be much better but latest experience was not so great. The service was not okay at all. We were the second table there and after waiting for a while to order, the waitress came and was quite unpleasant with us. The food arrived and the pancakes and bacon were cold. The waffles were super soggy. Not sure what happened to this place.

I recently tried the savory mushroom waffles at this cafe, and I appreciated the accommodating staff who swapped out the usual eggs for avocado upon my request – a commendable service. The addition of avocado and salad brought a fresh element to the dish, showing flexibility in their menu. The coffee was a standout, with a rich and delightful flavor, adding to the overall positive experience. However, the savory waffles’ taste fell a bit flat for my liking, and considering the breakfast price ranging between 20-22€, it leans toward the expensive side, even for Brussels. The ambiance and service were noteworthy, contributing to a pleasant experience overall. While I enjoyed the uniqueness of the dish, I believe a bit more flavor could elevate it to excellence. Despite this, I acknowledge the effort to accommodate individual preferences. I look forward to potential refinements that could make this place a top breakfast spot in the future.

I had the most delightful experience at Woodpecker in Brussels! The brunch offerings were exceptional, and the staff was not only friendly but also provided excellent service. Highly recommended! One of the reasons why I want to return to Brussels.

Our waffles and coffee were great but the pancakes brought it to the next level.

  • 2/5 Miriam G. 1 year ago on Google
I think the eggs with waffles are great but part of the meal which is salad can not and should not be served like this. This was beyond acceptable. The salad was dead, beaten or soaked and not eatable. Please serve fresh, crisp salad because this kills the whole “want to eat this” feeling.

We had some very tasty pancakes, coffee and also a burger and potatoes. They were all very delicious. The only disadvantage was the fact that we waited quite a lot until the waitress took our order. There are dishes that are only served in certain time intervals and we were a bit at the limit.

I went there for brunch on a Sunday and it was quite packed and I had to wait a little outside for a table. However it was so worth it. Beautiful interior decoration! The food was delicious!! Would totally recommend.

Relaxed atmosphere and a small outside area. We had very late weekend brunch and it was extremely nice. The pancakes were super fluffy and we could add extra banana and the avocado toast was very tasty with the eggs poached to perfection. The chai latte was also very well done! They also press some juices (orange, pear, apple etc) and they're very good as well! Staff is kind and available.

I love Woodpecker's atypical brunch! We had the Caligula salad and the speechless (waffle, bacon, chicken, and poached eggs). The Speechless will definitely leave you as such, who knew chorizo waffles could be so tasty and filling? Plus, their eggs are organic and locally produced. I recommend going off-the-weekend for a more relaxed atmosphere since it is usually very crowded on the weekends

Restaurant was busy at 10.30am already but we managed to get a table without waiting. Self service web menu and order with service staff was easy. Truffles mushrooms egg Benedict waffles was tasty especially the eggs were pretty well done.

Hemingway eggs bennedict were really good. Presentation was great. Only thing I would say here is, today unfortunately there was only one waiter at the restaurant, restaurant is full, he is the only one serving, cleaning, and doing practically everything. Poor guy. I hope its not like this every day. It could have a potential for great service with at least 3 people instead of one. Something to consider.

We went there knowing that the service is not the fastest. Given that, it's an excellent place for breakfast or brunch. The menu convinced us immediately and coffee was delicious. Definite recommendation, if you are not under time pressure, as it took 25 minutes to get our food. However, it was definitely worth it!

We went it twice for two days stay. This is a very nice cafe. The cheese cake is different, because it has pumpkin inside, good taste, not so sweet neither too heavy. The salty waffle was so delicious, crispy and mixted with porched eggs, so the waffle can absorb all the yolk. Very recommended

Veery nice breakfast, a lot of people inside, so it seems like the restaurant is popular 😊 4 stars as it could be a little bit more seasoned but still - quality of ingredients was really nice, so it was not a huge problem👌 In the pictures - eggs heminhway and speachless. Menu is really nice so the choice was difficult 😅

Excellent restaurant for breakfast/brunch! The Benedict eggs are just wow, totally recommend it. Staff is friendly, they speak perfect English, so it’s easy to order and get around. The menu is also quite clear, and prices are affordable (10-14€ for a dish). Also the homemade lemonade is great! If you’re in the area, you should definitely try it. PS it’s usually quite crowded, so you might need to wait a but you get a table. A+

This is a lovely spot to have an “all-day brunch”, you’ll get delicious food besides great and kind service by Anne. We tried the Sweet potato Benedict and Avocado Benedict; both were good, but the first was superb. They do have their house made hot sauce, which is a must to try.

  • 5/5 Maria K. 2 years ago on Google
All-day brunch - what‘s not to love?! I had the divine „Sweet Potato Benedict“, which is poached eggs on sweet potato fritters and mashed avocado with a kind of spicy sauce. The homemade „Peck-onade“ was also delicious. Other items on the menu looked great as well. The service was fast and attentive.

The granola bowl is amazing!!! And huge 😋 everything on the menu is delecious, the Mr Fluffy pancakes are very different but yummy (basil sugar and lime cream cheese 😁). Great place to eat or just get a coffee and relax.

  • 3/5 Tom B. 3 years ago on Google
The food is alright, nothing amazing for the price, especially when you see the size of the eggs Benedict : small bread + a small piece of thin bacon + tiny table spoon of hollandaise sauce. If you're hungry you should order two menus I guess hence double the price so it does not worth it.

Good was absolutely banging. The chorizo eagle with bacon and fried chicken was to die for. And the psycho sauce was amazing, just the perfect lvl of spicyness. Also the playlist was sooo good, great atmosphere. Great drinks!

Really nice burger, with very interesting tastes! I also had the sweet potato fries. They were a bit soggy, and I would have liked them a bit crispier. But, the white sauce they came with was amazing 😍 The interior isn’t the coziest, but the food was very good. High quality ingredients - can recommend!

This is a great brunch spot. We are here on New Year's day so the selection was slightly limited but the staff were still very accommodating. Once we ordered, the food arrived quickly and was cooked perfectly. Friendly staff and quick turnaround of customers, we didn't have to queue outside for too long. Eggs Benedict and the Speechless waffles are recommended.

If you're craving for an all American breakfast with a healthy twist, look no further! The avocado toast had a little too much lemon but still hit the spot. The salad on the side was so amazing - the dressing!!! The eggs Benny was cooked to perfection. Best were the coffees - the only non acidic ones we had in Belgium!

  • 5/5 Stefanie A. 4 years ago on Google
Fabulous restaurant! Place is adorable and the food was amazing! Brunch all day - love it! The psycho sauce on the Benedict dishes is a mild-spicy hollandaise that is delectable. FREE STILL WATER!! Will absolutely come back and highly recommend!!

My favorite place in Brussels for brunch, I'm going there for years and never get disappointed. The coffee and other beverages are really good, the food is so tasty, especially the sour waffles with eggs Benedict, those are just heavenly! 😋 staff is always very pleasant and welcoming, everybody speaks english. If you come during the weekend expect to wait in the queue, but usually it moves pretty quickly.

I ordered the eggs hemingway - the egg white was like water when I cut into it- so had the scrape it to the side. Although the yoke was lovely and runny. Latte was great not bitter at all.

Great all the way around. I wanted a fresh, healthy breakfast and that is what I got. I had the vegan avocado toast and my husband got the Peck Special, both were exactly what we wanted. Waitress was friendly and spoke excellent, non-resentful English. We will go back for sure.

Always busy, interesting food but slightly overdone. Items seem to be overloaded with greasy ingredients bit it doesnt necessarily make them better (for example: avocado, cream cheese and egg on toast sounds like a bit much) . Sometimes less is more but its my personal opinion, and for a place that appears very trendy it lacks vegan options. Even foods that are vegan are served with non-vegan soup. And if you dont ask they dont tell you.

Very nice brunch place located close to Avenue louise in central brussels. It offers a large choice of innovative brunch items such as pancakes, waffles and smoothie bowls as well as tasty shakes and drinks. Beware of the fact that the brunch items are served until 11.30 rather than the whole day as mentioned on the menu. You may also have to wait for a while before being seated.

Bit pricey but great atmosphere and quality service. Enjoyed French toast and coffee. The french toast was with canned fruit but it was still delicious. I could see the other dishes going out and everything looked great. I wouldn't have breakfast there every day, but definitely a treat for brunch.

Lovely breakfast place, super friendly staff. The place serves All Day breakfast on weekends. Place is usually crowded so call up for reservation if they take it. 😠 Had to wait 30 minutes for a simple burger order. The burgers are just lying there, ready to be served, but staff is generally not capable or willing to pick one up and lay it on a platter. Be prepared to invest some time when visiting this place. Really makes you consider the "fast" in "fast food".
