Never been here because they called a day before our booking day to cancel or change our booking which we made 5 days ago due to an unreasonable reason: ‘they decided to not open for lunch’ and asked us to change our appointment to dinner or cancel it. We had no other available time as we are a group of friends works different hours and wanted to gather for early Xmas celebration.. You may just miss one table but you also lost 5 potential customer and their family and friends to come.

Very nice cheese and ham focaccia and a nice espresso with banana cake. The caprese sandwich was just ok. Could improve it with some pesto sauce or salt and balsamic vinegar. Thank you!

You get your own hot-pot and A TON OF FOOD! Price is worth it for THIS MUCH amount of meat! The meat is quite good!! Small bowl of vegetables included. Great staff, cute setting for hot-pot. It's like a hot-pot cafe!

While waiting to pick someone up at the airport, I came across Java, a coffee shop worth mentioning. Their coffee was good, offering a satisfactory and enjoyable taste. However, due to the high customer traffic, the service felt a bit rushed and impersonal, lacking a personal touch. The seating area was a bit cluttered and disorganized, which affected the overall ambiance. Nevertheless, if you're in need of a decent cup of coffee while waiting at the airport, Java can fulfill that need. Despite its flaws, the lively and bustling atmosphere may suit those who enjoy the airport energy.

They serve some pretty good coffee for a fair price. I had a short wait for my departure and this place was thankfully open. I recommend it!

Really good Espresso 🙌 There is also origin coffee of the day you can try as filter coffee. Best place to be when waiting for friends and family at Brussels Airport.

Be careful. Not fresh coffee. There is a big jar of already made coffee liquids behind the bar. In busy time, the bartenders use it instead of making coffee from the machine. I asked them, but they lied about it. One star for such poor taste of coffee.

I would rate the coffee 3 of 5. The coffee was not the best and not the worst either. It’s okay for the airport. I think if the purpose is to have a coffee or grab a quick bite while waiting to receive your person arriving in Brussels, it’s alright. I would not recommend going to coffee with friends, but for an arrival gate it’s okay. Think it’s purpose is served at its location. The service was okay. Nothing to complain about. I would still say this was a bit pricey.

Just ordered a hot chocolat and got hot milk. They're so cheap with their chocolat powder (!) you only taste milk, could have bought 3 liters at that price! Run away...

I have been a regular client at Java Coffee Bar at Hogeschool Gent for the last 4 years and I always had great experiences there. I'm sorry to say, but this Java Coffee Bar is nothing like them. It was a quiet afternoon. There were 2 people at work who didn't seem interested in their work at all. They kept chatting with each other even though I was waiting at the counter to order. I asked for a latte to drink there and it almost seemed to much to do. They prepared mine in a paper cup although I said specifically that it was not to take away. When I asked to have my latte in a normal coffee cup, it (again) felt like I was asking too much. The few people who were sitting in the place had all paper cups. In my opinion, the staff does this to not have more work because it's easier to throw a cup away then to wash one. When I eventually sat down, it was filthy everywhere. There was just no clean table I could find. It's a shame that such a nice place with great coffee can be so damaged by the people who work there.
