We brought our 4 year old English speaker. He had a ball. There were 2 workshops available that we didn't do but they looked fun, probably better for older kids and French speakers. But no matter, there was lots to see and touch. I particularly liked the culture room. My kid loved hiding in the cupboard in the secret garden room. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Brussels with kids. The area that the museum was in looked cute too. Would have liked to explore it as well.

If you need an indoor destination this is a good option but their practice of charging for each adult as well as the children makes it an expensive destination. Other issues is there is no English language signage or exhibits despite having been recently renovated. Also if you are mobility impaired there is an elevator but when I inquired about using it for grandma the staff advised it was better not to use is and made some comment about it needing a key and getting stuck. I’m not sure if it was a safety or willingness issue. I’d also like to complain about the stereotype bashing used in at least one exhibit. See the photos. “I’m Johnny Cool. I wear a hat all the time and everyday after work I drink beer.” Awe-some. At least it feels universal as the depiction of the Frenchman was as black and white mime shirt with a beret and a “Dastardly Dan” mustache

A perfect place to take your kid if he/she is more than 3 years old. Everything is in either French or Dutch but that causes no hindrance to the kids. There are kitchens for children and also spaceships to have fun. The best part is that there is no multi-media and kids are free to play and create their own world. There is also a playground outside the main building of the museum and the children can have a lovely time under the sun.

About the outdoor playground: disappointed about the poor renovation of this once really amazing playground. Not one standard swing any more, all in plastic now, smaller than before, downsizing from 3 to 1 small slide only The playground, that was before accessable for all ages, a meeting point where everyone had a corner, is now not adapted for kids under 3 years any more, unless you want to run behind your children the whole afternoon, taking care that they don't hurt themselves. The space would be big enough to add at least one more Module that hopefully could balance this mistakes out and improve the place.

Nice little museum kids can learn basic things and they can.play inside and outside of the building. Outside they have a big beautiful playground with gardens and goats and a pond. Inside there are many games and nice staff to watch the kids.

Cute place with 3 floors and many different types of activities for kids. There are no explanations in English, so you just wander and enjoy the facilities. It is a recommended visit for kids up to 8 years old.

A great place for children! A lot of educational things and activities. They can spend the whole day there. Do look out for your own kids as there were no staff to monitor. They are your own kids anyway. There’s a tiny cafe inside on the 1st floor of your children gets hungry or thirsty. There are book readings (and shows?) sessions, but do register in advanced as seats are very limited. Although, the museum needs to update their contents as some are quite inappropriate in these woke age eg section on world culture.

Such a great spot for the kids. Love the workshops. With a bit more funding, there could be an opportunity for a “seasonal” expo so that kids see and experience something different every time.

Staff are really friendly. Otherwise, not worth it, small, crowded, disjointed, bizarre at some points, lots of reading in a museum aimed for kids below reading age.

Very nice. However, there were too many kids and adults on a (winter) Sunday to engage in the activities proposed and have a more meaningful experience. It was more like an indoors original playground for us. We'll probably come back on a quieter occasion.

If you're looking for a joyful place where your child(ren) can have plenty of fun; don't look any further. The Child Museum is a real dream place where kinds can cook, play, jump, scream, run, draw, paint and so much more. Every room has a specific theme and allow the children to discover various hidden elements and almost live a fairytale. One advice, if you want to cook; don't wait and book a space when you arrive!

(Translated by Google) We were in this museum on July 29th, 2020 with our two children (5 and 3) and were a little disappointed with the whole thing. 1. There was no English or German translation of the text, which made it sometimes impossible to understand what it means. 2. Everything was already very worn out. Of course the children play with the things, but you can tell that it hasn't been innovated for a long time. 3. In my opinion, the price was very high for what was offered. Above all, that adults have to pay so much even though everything is completely geared towards children bothered me. 4. There was only one room for interactive design with a lot of wooden parts and other handicraft materials and glue. With it, the children could then build something independently. I thought that was the best thing about the whole museum. Unfortunately, this room was also very crowded and chaotic and the men who should have instructed could neither speak English nor German. The children still had fun. But they would have had it in a playground too. 1. Es fehlte eine englische oder deutsche Übersetzung der Texte, was es teilweise unmöglich gemacht zu erschließen was es bedeutet. 2.

(Translated by Google) We started with a very beautiful tale created by children and told by a storyteller. Awesome ! Then, we took part in the creative workshop which revolves around wood. All children let their imaginations run wild and are accompanied by adults who are ready to do anything to help them design their crafts. Finally, we did various activities in several rooms to the delight of my son.

(Translated by Google) This is not a museum but a didactic and fun house-labyrinth. This concept deserves to be developed in every city in Belgium! Indeed, a single house of this type in Brussels with a maximum of 250 entries per day does not seem sufficient. We had a great time even if the workshops offered are quickly full. (Translated by Google) Very interesting concept in itself. But even if the places are limited to 250, once inside it looked more like a vast full of games where the children shout and run than with a didactic space .. can be revise the opening hours (open more often and still limit places?) in order to really give children the opportunity to test, learn, have fun. In addition, it is a pity to see groups of people coming to six adults and two children .. it is a space for children at the base.
