To visit or not to visit, that was the question. From the outside you think, ok, a boring place with uninteresting things. That was a wrong assumption as the visit is definitely worth it. It's best to book tickets online. These are also free. At the entrance the exam takes place like at the airport, after which everyone gets an audio guide and can choose the language they want. Then we start with the history of the EU. Very interestingly constructed. Images, texts, videos and lots of interactive things. There's a lot to see. It was planned to take 30 minutes, but it actually took 3 hours. There is an opportunity to take part in elections, learn a lot about the work on site and even have your own opinion photographed. Simply cool, modern and above all very interesting.

European Parliament is so big and huge , all with glass . So many different departments and different buildings connect to it . Back side have huge gardens and park connected to it . We went on a weekend so everything was closed . I recommend to visit on weekdays and can get ticket and look inside the parliament. Next time for sure I will go on week day with ticker and post here .

A nice place to learn and view about EU and how the events happened throughout the years. The tickets are free but you need to book in advance. It’s available online as well. There’s a locker as well to place the jackets and luggage.

All of the employees make an effort and the exhibition is very informative. It was a highly informative experience for me. You can obtain detailed information and the museum provides an interactive experience for both adults and children. Admission is free, but it is recommended to book in advance. They also offer lockers for visitors' belongings and provide audio guides.

(Translated by Google) Definitely worth it. My two sons (17 and 15 years old) were also very interested. I think it is very good that the historical context and the original ideas and goals have been worked up very well and it is worth pursuing them further. (Original) Lohnt sich in jedem Fall. The heart of the EU for us citizens and residents. You will learn loads of things you didn’t know. It’s free. Free audio guides as well and a great gift shop. Free to use lockers too! Make sure you book before going in and sometimes they do ask for ID

The visit was very well organised. The measures taken against COVID were excellent. Many other museums could learn from this. The displays were clear and many languages were available, as should be expected of this type of museum. One slight imperfection is that the areas around the displays were a bit dark. Both structurally and organizationally there is little to complain about. One negative about the parlamentarium is that the more politically oriented information was very biased. It would have been interesting to see alternative perspectives and interpretations. The lack of critical reflection makes it feel more like a propaganda tour. This is sad to see because the parlamentarium is very educational, and has the potential to be one of the best museums in the EU. Ignoring this issue there is still a lot of interesting information regarding the historical development of the EU and its operations. Overall, I would still highly recommend people to visit the parlamentarium.

Better than expedted. It is interactive, the staff is kind and helpful. Much better than a simple museum. I think smaller kids will find it boring, but an adult can spend 1-2 hour inside.

Completely free and completely brilliant! They provide with an audio guide, and a pen to keep. The exhibition explains how the European Union started, how it evolved through the decades, and of course how it works today. It's very well presented, available in a myriad of languages, and has special guide options for children. There are also a lot of interactive exhibits.

Great place to find about the actions and events that led to the creation of the European Union and it's continous evolution. And best think is the knowledge you get is free. Tip: register ahead of your visit on the website so you wait less ahead of the security check.

An educational and very interesting place located in the Espace Leopold complex of the Parliament of Brussels. You will find out the history of the formation of the European Union. You will need a reservation that you can make online. Admission is free. You will receive an audio guide and you can selected the language you want to learn a lot about the history of the EU. There are many rooms where you can relax, are pictures and learn new information.

Since the beginning of the exhibition, we were greeted by extremely kind guides who have shown us around. All the information is presented in an understandable way, so there is no need to know anything about EU beforehand. However, people interested in politics still can easily find something exciting for them as well. The audioguides are easy to use, exhibitions interactive and well designed. Totally worth a visit.

Significant visit on an anniversary May 2019- Poland joining EU- exp for our Kids- to understand better what can we achieve acting together. All places are worth to see- EU Parlament, Museum of EU and interactive Parlamentarium (interactive maps with interesting points are the best)

The place goes thru the history and creation of European Union and its main building moment. There are multiple interactives stations and all areas are triggered with an audio guide available in many many languages. The audio descriptions are interesting and short, allowing to learn without being too scholar. Some of the stations have seen better days and it’s a bit sad to notice that lack of maintenance in a cool place to visit.

(Translated by Google) Under no circumstances recommend this museum, the structure was very bad and gave extremely little. If you have a great love for the European Parliament, then you will appreciate this, but this comes from an EU skeptical perspective. But the low grade comes primarily because compared to other museums, the layout was bad and there was no direct red thread throughout the museum, the only kind of "red thread" is that it is worthy of the EU. What's not that strange when the museum is next to the parliament.

Audio guides are in every EU language. In the same time the audio guide gadget is the key for activating the interaction on many places.

Overall a nice and really interesting stay. The digital device that was given to you at the beginning made the visit more pleasant and you were more motivated to acquire new knowledge. The museum also had a varied design and you could even get active yourself in many places. The atmosphere was also pleasant and there was a pleasant climate in the various rooms. Perfect for an afternoon.

Do make a reservation online before visiting, no crowds but they will get you to show the QR code. Nice trip to learn about the EU, the interactive exhibitions downstairs were great. Free entry and free audio tour. Really enjoyed my time here, can spend up to 1.5hr if you want to listen to all their content.

The front door was broken and closed at the time of my visit, were no signs or staff to indicate how to enter. Once in, staff were pleasant but always had the feeling that I was putting them out by asking a question or making a purchase or putting my coat in cloak room. Visit itself was great, one guide was very eager to talk about the exhibition, and explained the other buildings we could visit. Really enjoyed it.

Free museum, where you learn all about the EU. Got a decent insight into the EU and it's democratic, governing ways. Still not happy about it's meddling with regards to the max volume on my mp3 player where outside volume is greater than my device's volume... Little bit annoyed I had to fill in an online form, only to find people being let in without needing to do this. Top marks for facilities and museum, but reception could do with a smile (grumpy girl will be the face for EU for me), unlike security who was great 👍.

Guides were pushing us through as if we were group of chicken, as fast as possible. Treat customers as those. Explanations were not structured, why talk first about Brussels if Brussels is in the 2 me spot, why not introduce Schumann and then show answers of Germany... One noticed there was lots of money spend, free high quality pen, on mediocre museum.

  • 5/5 Declan S. 4 years ago on Google
Had an interesting self tour with an audio guide. Many historical photos and video clips with some virtual experience. Great to learn about the decision-making process in EU. I just wish the staff there had been a bit more sensitive about somr racially insensitive comments they made. The lady greeted me in Chinese and I said "Sorry, I don't speak your language", then she, her male colleague, and another female colleague, all started saying things like "You look like Chinese", "We all thought you were Chinese", "I was also telling her that you must be Chinese"... I am used to this kind of casual racism in Europe (been to Europe at least 15 times), but it was a bit sad that even the staff in EU parliamentarium were so insensitive.

It was an ok experience, kind of too much history in my opinion and much useless information. The audio tour didn’t work properly (at least mine). Finally, it was kind of disappointing to see that the p@ndemic and the war were the only recent “historical” events… like nothing else came across our way except that. I think us, as humans, are more than that… and we also need to talk about the good things - not only the negative aspects.

Fantastic experience inside the European Parliament with high expectations. Previously booked the free visit from the official website, the visit begins with an itinerary with an explanation of the history of the European Parliament. Loved it but I was expecting a visit inside the structure of the parliament and not just a tour with audio guides.

I didn't initially plan to visit Parlamentarium but I went inside as I was close-by. It's a very nicely designed interactive museum and completely free. Unfortunately didn't have enough of time to go through it all but I believe if you're interested in the history of EU this could be something for you. You have to make a booking but I did that within 2 minutes

EU Parliamentarium is really an amazing place. I wonder why this was not shown as must visit places in Brussels. We went there on the last day of our visit. It is a place where we can learn about the history of EU. So many old photographs. Good information regarding the member states. The entry is free, but need to do online reservation. My only regret is that we had only 45 minutes to spare within the building since we had a train to catch. I really recommend visiting this place, but keep aside approx 2 hours if you are really interested to know more.

(Translated by Google) I, who am not usually a museum fan, was surprised by the Parlementarium. First of all, I had the chance to be alone in the museum throughout (off season + coronavirus). Here almost everything was super interesting for me and it allows you to better understand how the EU works and indirectly your sub. Everything is interactive there and a well done audio and video guide allows you to make the visit in your language. Free entry. Parking is free if you reserve it at least 24 hours in advance. Allow three good hours if you read everything, I personally did the museum in 2 hours not having read everything because the amount of information quickly becomes very busy. Tout est interactif là bas et un audio et visio guide bien fait vous permet de faire la visite dans votre langue. L'entrée est gratuite. Le parking est gratuit à condition de le réserver au moins 24h à l'avance. It's located in a business center of the City. Very similar looking buildings which occupy 3 or 4 blocks entirely. It definitely needs to be seen and walked through to feel a mood of this place. Free, self-guided museum where get to learn everything you ever wanted of the European Union, from its creation to present. You get this lanyard with audioguide when you walk in and get to "tap" on the displays and exhibits for information. Lots of rooms, one with maps, interactive history, and active information including current issues the EU is facing. Entrance may take a while because it's airport security and people take forever to get through. I was there for about 1.5 hours in total. There's a gift shop at the end with lots of EU merchandise.

Really well done. 4. Not boring for children either 5. Echt toll gemacht. 4. Auch für Kinder nicht langweilig 5. Kostenlos

👍 I was passing by this place to get somewhere else. I don't think you need to check this place out. There are some pretty photo spots though.
