Probably the most interesting article experiment in Brussels. Really worth exploring the museum which was just recently closed as manufacturing and storing site for Citroens. The current exhibition isn't overly impressive but the building as such is super interesting and you can see most of it without a ticket. There is also good market so you can have drinks & food as well.

(Translated by Google) This is not a museum but a private collection, which can be bypassed in 10 minutes at most, 20 if you look at every little thing. And for such a place is not cheap price, supposedly you can not take pictures but the staff did not say anything about the photos. (Original) Это не музей а частная коллекция , которую можно обойти за 10 минут не более , 20 если всматриваться в каждую мелочь. И для такого места не дешёвая цена , якобы нельзя фотографировать но персонал по поводу фотографий ничего не говорил.

Current time: 14:37. Website, flyer and door all day it opens at 14h. Called and the man said it will be open at 14:30 (clearly unaware of the time even though we told him it was past that). Not impressed with way we were blown off. Not very professional. Normally would not have cared so much but when it is raining and cold and the restaurants around are closed until dinner time, makes the journey a waste of time. Will update if/when they decide to open for the day

A small museum which is rather a private collection of erotic artifacts (statues, antique sex toys etc). Sure it cannot compete with the sex museums of Amsterdam, but can be amusing if you have nothing to do. Entry fee is 10 eur per person, which we've found somewhat pricey for what you get.

Modern art in unexpected setting in an former Citroën dealership. This building dating from the 30ties is still untouched and still looks like the last car left yesterday. The size of this building is immense so all art has plenty of space. Ideal for the visitors.

Marking this 5* based on a previous visit but please note while they have exhibitions listed on their site, their main building is being gutted and renovated so the gallery itself is not open and this is not very clear on their website.

I loved this museum. Very unusual, but definitely worth a visit. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and the exhibits cover all of the world, and from modern times to medieval and earlier times. The only downside is they don't take card, cash only.

Wonderful collection of modern art. The huge industrial site allows the works to breathe, letting you take in each installation at your own leasure. All art has been meticulously curated. It shows that despite the diversity of the exhibits, there is a coherent flow and relation overlapping each section. At times the former Citroën plant feels overwhelming, like a labyrinth of tubes, machinery and concrete, though you never truly feel lost with the clear directions displayed above each room and the provided map. There's a cozy bar with great homemade lemonade and a small museum store which primarily sells organic female clothing (no books here, unfortunately). Mind the entrance is at the back of the building, at the side of the canal. There should be arrows leading the way. Take an afternoon off to enjoy some modern art in Kanal. Recommended!

A museum centre still in development. For now, it hasn't hosted great or memorable exibitions. The space has however a lot of potential and hopefully in the coming months, there will be bigger initiatives. The centre is by the canal of Brussels. It is not in one of the most elegant areas, however you can have a little walk by the water. In the ground floor of the Centre Pompidou there is a little informal food corner from where you can get delicious street food.

It is a new center for Contemporary art in Brussels. Many permanent artworks are borrowed from two others Pompidou (Paris and Metz. It is super huge space and we can feel that the organizer having a difficulties to fill in the room. There are many empty space (we don't know if that's a part of the art) It is still a bit messy in terms of circulations of expo. Hopefully, they will manage to make something out of it independently from two others as well

Kanal Pompidou is situated in the 35.000 sq.m. former Citroën garage at Yser square. Before the final opening in 2022/2023, the Kanal Foundation decided to launch a year of cultural prefiguration on May 5th 2018. Over a period of 13 months, in collaboration with Paris’ Centre Pompidou, the public will be able to discover this mythical building through different exhibitions, huge installations, 10 original artworks by Brussels artists, and live performances.
