Very nice visit to this emblematic place of Brussels beer. This charming brewery is a must in the history of beer in Brussels. The guided tour is strongly recommended. Possibility of carrying out the visit in English or French. Lots of explanations on the method of making this beer. Possibility at the end of the visit to taste 3 beers. It is advisable to book in advance.

You will have to visit Cantillon while in Brussels and you will find year after year you will repeat your visits and look forward to your new acquisitions. And then after several years you will have the utmost respect and regard for the family that carries on this brewing tradition. And then guess what happens? You will buy even more Cantillon and continue to impress your friends and family with your excellent taste. Also if you can visit when the hallowed taproom is open you might as well destroy your budget and have a few bottles. Life is terminal -- no one has yet survived it -- so might as well live a little and splurge. Westvleteren and Cantillon are the best places to do that.

Really a unique experience. Their beers are world renowned and it's great to get them from those who make them. They are served with clean glasses and in the baskets to ensure the sediment stays down. Worth trying and buying anything you can here.

Wow! We bought a self tour ticket including tasting for €8 each. We were explained how to follow a route, and we got a little book with information on every checkpoint. It worked out really well, and it was very interesting to see all the prosesses of the brewery in action. The beer itself is amazing. We got 3 testers (lambic straight from the cask, gueze, and a kriek). We also bought a couple more beers. They had a bar, and the prices are off course lower than in a regular bar. Are you interested in beer? This is a must while in Brussels!

Our visit to this traditional family-run brewery was a delightful experience. The self-guided tour provided fascinating insights into the art of brewing lambic beer, a true journey into tradition. The highlight, of course, was the unique beer tasting featuring three distinct beers, including a unique sour cherry variety. For just 8€, we got to explore the brewery and enjoy a tasting session at their bar. If you're a beer enthusiast, this place is a must-visit. It combines education, history, and delectable flavors into one fantastic package. Highly recommended! 🍻

having both tried their brewery tour and on-site drinking, I can assure you with confidence that Cantillon's brewery is by far one of the most unique beer experiences that I've had ! I can feel proud of the staff working there and there's a bunch of selection for beer lovers ! highly recommend :)

Great place to go if you are interested about the extraordinary magic of brewing lambic. Amazing to see the equipment which they use for it. A lot of it is almost ancient :) We took the self-guided tour and the English brochure was well written. The bar area is really nice, see for yourself!

Absolutely essential brewery for beer and natural wine lovers 🍾☺️. They have a tour available for 7€ which include 3 lambic samples (Unblended, Classic Gueuze and Kriek). The tour is a self-guided in depth explanation of the spontaneous brewing process while walking alongside the equipment described. Such a great experience to see the Koelship and barrels of this legendary brewery 🙈. The bar had a fantastic bottle list with world class fruit lambic for 25€ pr. bottle (750mL). We had Lou Pepe and Piacere which was absolutely incredible 🍒🍇🍾. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to buy the bottles for takeaway 😥. Another downside is they close quite early at 18:00. They offer high quality merchandise such as Cantillon signs, coasters and T-shirts🥳! Overall one of the best beer experiences I have ever had 🍇🍻😎.

A must try when visiting Brussels. You can do a self-guided tour throughout the day or a guided tour which requires a reservation/appointment. At the end of the tour you get to taste the three different types of beer that they brew. The people are also very nice and accommodating. Great experience.

If you are here in the week day you can do the self guided tour which if you know about Lambic beer may not be worth it. The bar however has lots of good cantillon and is very well priced. Definitely a must visit in Brussels

This hidden place is so amazing. The tour was nice and three different beers were included in the tasting part. I additionally ordered a blueberry beer which is so refreshing, fruity, however not sweet at all (which is excellent). It was really the best fruity beer I have ever had in my life so far. I highly recommend this place and I for sure will come again.

If you really love sour/wild beers, then I would highly recommend their tour. It's so informative and the guide is really fun. The beers we tried were very tasty and we brought some home. Overall, one of the best beer tours we've ever been on because of the history of the equipment and the uniqueness it takes to make this type of beer.

We went on the self-guided tour when we were in Brussels last week and it was pretty good (esp. for a self-guided tour, would have loved to been on the guided tour; which is Saturdays only I think?). You get a guide book, with info and details/info/background for each of the various stages through the brewery. Then you're basically free to wonder from numbered area to numbered area and explore! When we were there they were actually brewing (which only happens Oct - April) so we saw the magic happening! It was really interesting to be able to see things up close (generally you have full access, only a few area are roped off, you can otherwise see everything) and the book explains it all. The tour includes 3 tasting samples in the tap room upstairs. We bought a few others to sample as well, plus a t-shirt. Bonus: the beer is good! :) I wish more Canadian micro/craft-breweries did all-access self-guided tours - I'd happily pay!

The only long lasting lambic brewery in Brussels and they have a quality product. The tour is interesting and goes into a lot of detail. It is heavily oversubscribed, so there are too many people on a tour to make it comfortable, the rating at the end is excellent and it’s definitely worth the visit in Brussels.

I think everyone end up here could share the same feeling - finally you are in the honor hall of lambic beer. We were too late and not able to sit in and visit, will come back! But their shop opened till 5pm so managed to get some special edition in the end.

Cantillon is the absolut beer mecca. As soon as you enter the brewery you feel like you've been transported to another era. All the equipment have a tons of history. I went on the self guided tour and was handled a book with a step by step of the whole brewing process. This is a 3 floor building and each area was more impressive than the other. The barrel room was unbelievable and the smell of fresh beer was great. At the end of the tour, you have 3 sample beers (lambic, oud gueuze and kriek) at the bar which has an awesome decoration. The beers are stellar! if you are a fan of lambic beer, this is the best place in the world! Ps. I was also incredible lucky to meet the legend/brewer/owner Jean-Pierre Van Roy!

Can't recommend this place enough: whether you are a gueuze freak or want to just know more about this traditional beer style, set aside 90 minutes and book a tour. The guided visit is fascinating, entertaining and definitely not too long, and for just 10 euros you get also three samples (lambic, gueuze and rosé de gambrinus/kriek). Excellent shop, a must go for get your hands on rare bottles at incredibly fair prices, so you don't feed the scalpers). Nice bar as well.

Came in to Brussels late, so we didn't have time for the tour, but we headed straight to the bar for a bottle or two. The bar was lovely and the service was excellent. The beer was amazing of course and at 20€ for a bottle, well priced. The head brewer was there and very friendly. The best part was that the bottles and souvenirs to go were so well priced. They could charge way more but don't and that is so appreciated. I was able to get pint glasses for a few friends who were so excited!

Great place to go if you are interested in beer. The brewery uses spontaneous fermentation and the brewery tour is much different than any typical brewery. The brewery is a living organism - the walls, roof etc provide the bacteria and yeast needed for the beer. The upstairs bar was very-very crowded. There is also a swag shop.

I really enjoyed my experience here! We did a guided tour and tasting and gained a real appreciation for all of the time and effort that goes into the process of beer making. I am typically not a beer drinker, but I actually liked the raspberry/fruity one that I tried. If you're in Brussels at all during some of the special points of the beer making process and can go on a guided tour, I would highly recommend it!

Honestly had an absolutely brilliant experience here, going on the brewery tour with my family. We tried to book an English tour online and there didn't appear to be any availability, so we decided just to go and they were able to squeeze us into the next tour! Cedric was an exceptional guide, the tasting was great, and it was so informative! Would highly recommend. Great value for the experience.

I loved the guided tour of the brewery, one of the oldest and most historically authentic in the world. It’s good to know that places like this still exist. Some of the beers that I tried did not taste good. I’m no expert, but it tasted like how the tour guide said they would if the fermentation process was incorrect. However, I did enjoy the raspberry cider and would recommend that for all of you.

We enjoyed a delicious blueberry lambic and a sour cherry kriek for €20 at the taproom. Then we got four 75ml bottles to go (each between €12-8,50!) - only regret was not asking about case discounts 🍻

We took a tour here. It was done very much in detail, took over an hour, informative and fun. The place is a bit outdated inside. Maybe too many people on the tour, to be honest, over 20. The brewery tries to preserve tradition of lambiek and gueze. 3 types of drink included at the end in tasting glasses. Good deal at 10 euros, but beware of the lambiek!

Working brewery museum making traditional Lambic and Geuze. As well as the base Lambic and Geuze experimental wine/grape lambics and fruited variations are available to drink in in a changing rotation. A smaller selection is available to buy to take out. *The tasting room beers are not available to buy to take out* There are no IPAs

If you want to learn authentic traditional Lambic beer, you have to visit Cantillon. One of the few breweries that has managed to remain independent for over a century still using 19th century techniques and equipment. Lambic differs from most other beers in that it is fermented through exposure to wild yeasts and bacteria, as opposed to artificially added ones. You can come in at any time and see the whole process happening in front of your eyes, as you walk literally through the workers. At the end, you get a taste of some of the finest Lambics, including one that's not even commercially available. This is a hidden gem in Brussels that you do not want to miss.

Excellent off the beaten track family brewery that oozes tradition. Nice little bar to have a beer at the end of the tour. Expect loads of American beer geeks. Sadly not open on Sundays.

Nice place to visit if you are around. If it's your first time to visit this brewery, definitely must is the tour. To understand the size of production if this brewery. The tour has a lovely introduction afterwards it is a self-guided tour. The tasting afterwards is lovely because it gives you more context. What is pity is they have a wide extent on site drinking list but only for 75cl bottles, making it hard to drink when you have a limited parties. Also they do not sell everything on the on-site drinking list, they have a separate list for take away what is pity. I like the staff, but I do not like the business concept. The sourness of the beer you love it or not. The sourness overrule the funkiness what is in my taste pity because it have so much potential, I have bought some bottles to lay for 10years

Yeah, place to go, best beer and the beer that you won't find in your city. I did the visit on my own and then went to the bar for the free samples included with the ticket, finally also buy one of the bottles (ruibarb beer 16€ aprox, more than a British pint size) to taste fully the beer...was a good idea
