Definitely worth a visit, volunteers such as retired nurses and people with a great passion to teach people like us about the first heart lung machine, medicines, all developments are discussed, for example a man showed us a tick under a old microscope just out of passion for what he has done, that is just great!!! A BIG kudos to everyone who contributes to this!!!

Wow, amazing museum. You don't find many museums like this one between usual tourist attractions. There's a lot of old and ancient medical tools, furniture, environment. What's best is that you can touch everything

The old medicinal equipment of UZ Leuven is cultural heritage and can still be viewed for a few days in this unfortunately neglected building. This will be demolished soon

A beautiful museum, unfortunately not recognized as such by the authorities. Volunteers manage the collection and keep the museum open, but the threat of closure is palpable. So do it! Accessibility: road on the site itself is not OK, many holes, bumps, steep slopes... Otherwise accessible, although the staff had to organize a search for accessible sanitary facilities themselves... This way they also learn something new!

Thanks to van Rossems for the tip. Fantastically preserved collection of all kinds of medical paraphernalia. Will be moving to a smaller location. Come soon while you still can.

Very interesting! It's a very divers exposition from all the pre-war things the hospital kept. Every room has another theme and the museum is manned by volunteers who really know what they are talking about. We spent about two hours here.

Very nice museum that runs entirely on a voluntary basis. The entrance is somewhat hidden: do not give up in the search. Definitely worth it to get an insight into the healthcare of the (early) last century.

Sensational, definitely worth visiting. This is one of those musea that even if you don't read all description you still find it enjoying. Although it could be also in English, especially when it comes to view things you might not know what they were for. But if you take a tour you have a knowledgeable guide speaking several languages.
