Museum for Old Techniques

Tourist attraction Museum Technology museum

👍👍 Beautiful museum consisting of a castle ruin, large farm and two water mills. The exhibitions are also suitable for children because of the experiments they can do. The mills are within walking distance of each other. People often mention museum, children, voor, nice,

(Translated by Google) One very nice time spent in the museum. Lots of things to do! Escape room was small but fun! Out in half an hour! Prince's castle also entered! Well worth 30 euros for the four of us for all this! Recommended especially in summer with workshops!

(Translated by Google) Very nice museum! Nicely presented: nostalgia and facts for adults, but especially fun for children. Quests, DIY assignments, climbing the castle tower, play attic, it all worked out well. And the outdoor environment is great for a walk. Really do! (Original) Heel fijn museum! Echt eens doen!

A wonderful museum with hundreds of tools from all times. Especially for kids, there are a lot of do-and-touch places and a fun play attic. They also organize a lot of workshops, both for adults and kids. If you like technology, you'll love this place!

We had a great time there. Especially our 5yo daughter as there are plenty of activities for kids to learn more about wood and steel and a playground as well. It us only in Dutch but Google translate helped a lot.

The workshop for children was good. The museum needs to be more hands-on for children.

Interactieve museum, key principle is to inform in a "hands on" way. Particularly fun for families with smaller kids up to the age of 12/13 due to the museum being filled with games and opportunities to try techniques out themselves (ex. Shaping a thin peace of metal into a shape with a hammer), as well as the activity booklets for various age groups with which they go on a treasure hunt throughout the museum. Furthermore, workshops are offered in the weekends and holidays. Very advisable. Tickets can be bought at the counter without any waiting time, never actually sold out. It's recommended to reserve beforehand for bigger groups. The escape room should also be reserved online beforehand via the mentioned email adres. The museum has several staircases, and eventhough there's the opportunity to grab a foldable chair with you during the trip, the ability to climb some stairs should be there.

Really worth a visit. Both children and adults will certainly not leave disappointed. The range of activities is varied and it is never too busy.
