One of the earliest Art Nouveau buildings in Brussels with a rich history of artistry. I found it a bit sterile, and there wasn't enough information available, no audio guide as well. It's very pretty and restored extremely well, so if you're a huge aficionado, it's worth a visit. For the casual observer, there's just not that much to see.

One of the earliest houses Vector Horta has designed, it is small but full of character. You can see Horta's style starting to form in the mosaics, large windows and curved staircase. There is a beautiful stained glass on the first floor landing. The child bedroom is quite cute with a tiny bed and a large toy car. The furniture are from the same time as the house and have lots of curves, carvings and motifs. The radiators are the most beautiful I have ever seen, I wish I could order those really!

A low key museum in Schaerbeek in Horta's first art nouveau house. Usually not terribly busy, captures bourgeois life at the turn of the 20th century. Highly recommended.

Beautifully restaurated, the house catches a very special vibe. The stories that are told in each room (in French) take you back. It's the details I was most charmed by: the curtains with hand embroidered finishings, the flower pots,...

Small but well kept house/museum. The personnel was friendly and shared some basic information. It was a sunny Sunday so I had the chance to enjoy the small garden.

One of the earliest works of the Belgian Art Nouveau architect Victor Horta. Not as crowded as the more famous Hortamuseum, so we could appreciate the details at our own pace. Photography is also welcomed. Worth a visit for anyone who’s interested in Belgian architecture of the late 19th Century to early 20th Century.

I visited Maison Autique and its newest exhibition of Privat Livemont. Very nice, you could enter all areas.

Old, magnificent and well maintained house. The Art Nouveau architecture gives to this building an historical aspect. All detail, stained window, staircase, furniture, garden, attic, bathroom, sofa are kept and exhibited. Between half an hour and one hour needed to visit. Not easy to find a parking place but there public transport nearby.

Honestly, I don't think it's something that interesting to visit but if you are extremely knowledgeable/interested in architecture (particularly in Art Noveau). I would say that it takes less than 30 minutes to visit it from the bottom (cellar) to the top and the almost absolute lack of extra information contributes to the visit to be very quick. The staff was extremely nice and the house was almost empty.

Horta style house, has some interesting rooms. The visit didn't take long, but the craftsmanship of this decorated house is definitely worth a visit

This is a must visit in Schaerbeek, the very first house designed by Victor Horta. You could consider this to be early Art Nouveau, so interesting!

Beautiful house. First important work of Victor Horta, and one of the first Art Nouveau buildings of Brussels.

Was there for the cités obscures themed escape room, which you get to play throughout the house, amidst the regular visitors. Fascinating and fun ! Reception was super friendly and helpful. Once back outside the contrast with today’s Brüsel is shocking…

Wow, what a fantastic house to visit. Fairly low key, functional and artistic with beautiful details. I personally loved the details on the bannister, the beautifully recreated wallpapers and the way the light flooded through the rooms. Well worth a visit!

Lovely to see Horta's first major commission in Brussels. You can see the kernel of his later houses.
