Probably the best museum Ive ever been. U wont waste a second here. It has a classic exhibition like in every other museum, but what makes this one really special is the movie presented in main hall. Pure perfection. I would give it na Oscar for sound and special effects. Truly a masterpiece. If u are a man of culture u have to visit Belgian Brewers Museum. 10 out of 10

Don’t expect this to be a museum. It’s just a place displaying some beer making equipment and some video presentation. The best part, if not the only real value of the ticket is the chance to sip a very refreshing blond beer or dark beer. The gentleman serving the beer is skilful beertender. He always ensure that you would get the best tap beer without having too much foam.

I wouldn't call this a museum. It's more like a place where you go and watch an old short documentary about beer and then you get a tasting. Hubby and I stopped by on a Friday at around 2:30. It's included with the Brussels Card but otherwise, it's €5 for entry. I would recommend only going if you have the card. Otherwise, you could just go to any bar and get a beer you would actually want (since they just have dark and blonde here), for cheaper.

Museum as a word is used liberally here. But to be fair what they advertise is what it is. There’s a very rustic bar and seating area with old beer making tools. In another room is a video presentation room which showcases Belgian beers along with beer making processes. The staff are very friendly and will teach you as much as they can (in your language)

Nice place, it isn't really a museum. But the overall experience it's great. In the end you get a free beer so it's worth it! The price for adults is 5€

Not really a great museum, but very good beer 🍻, and I got 2 of them for black Friday. You need to like beer to like this place.

I loved it. It's more of a bar with historical items than a museum, but if you're a beer lover, you will definitely enjoy it. The 5€ ticket includes a beer, which is (of course) excellent and the service is great.

It is just a very small place. As a tourist, I hope the video was about how beer was made from start to finish and it would be helpful to have english subtitles. I like the feel of the bar, esp. since there were just very few people when I went there. The beer was very good. Very cold and has great taste. The owner (not sure) was very kind and helpful.

A good introduction to why Belgium is the country of beer. €5 gets you in, plus a beer which would cost you almost €5 in one of the nearby bars, so good value. Worth a visit. * Cash only * but does accept the Brussels Card.

This is not exactly the museum, it’s more like a room with brewery equipment (old fashion and modern). You will watch a short movie and finish with glass of beer, dark or light. It’s okay for 5€, but don’t expect so much.

Easily the best attraction I visited during my stay in Brussels!! From the antique furniture, friendly staff and beer making demonstration, truly an experience that can't be missed! The 15 minute video sent us back to a simpler time and reminded us to enjoy the small things in live!! I will be back!

What they do have is cool but I expected so much more from a place that’s explicitly called a museum. As a huge beer history nerd, I felt a bit let down.

I was sceptical on arrival as I have done my fair share of beer museums, but I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best beer museum I have done across all of Europe. Upon arrival, the staff greeted me and asked if I required usage of bathroom (which I did). To follow, what I can best describe as a stunning guided tour by a staff member walking us through the full history of Belgian beers, and even the opportunity to brew our own very own Belgian beer! I would 100% recommend to a friend and the it is extremely family friendly. My 12 year old son loved sipping his own Belgian beer! Snap, Crackle and Belgian Beer!!

The museum is very interesting. With the ticket you get a delicious beer. The owner gifted us with two more beer just to let us record a video of the pouring. Exceptional kindness and taste. Very reccomended

İntroduces belgian beers, a documentary lasts in 15 minutes and you continue to take a beer. A small museum, does not show much thing, have fun for 25-30 minutes!

As other reviewers have noted it's not really a museum in the normal sense. For the entrance fee of €5 you watch a short video on the production of beer and then comes the best part - you get to try some beer! The ambience is good and the staff are friendly ....nice way of passing half an hour.

This was quite a fun way to spend the afternoon. As others have noted, it’s essentially a small room with some beer making equipment and a video explaining the process of brewing beer. It was however lovely to sit and try and beer afterwards. The highlight of this place is definitely it’s staff, as the guy behind the bar on the day we visited was more than happy to talk us through different beer types and brewing processes, as well as recommending some for us to try. A fun way to spend a half an hour or so. We got in with our Brussels card but I’m unsure if we would have paid for this out of our own pocket.

If you have 20 minutes to spare when you are around Grand Place in Brussels, go and visit the Museum of Belgian brewers, it is in a basement on the square. For €5 you will see how they make beer, look at some of the equipment and check out a movie on making beer, but most importantly when you are done you will get a nice Belgian beer and there are normally at least two to choose from.

Don't get me wrong, the only best thing is you can see how they serve you your beer (you can choose between blond or dark) and then sitting in those chairs with the small bar decorated from the ancient time. The fee is 5€ include a beer, just go there to have a good and very cold beer, and because the host is a very old man. The whole experience is watch a retro video of 15 mins and drink a beer.

“Museum” is a stretch. As other have said, it’s basically watching a video and there’s a little old equipment. That’s it. It’s only 5 euros, you do get a beer at the end of it so it’s not terrible value. However if you’ve done a brewery tour before it’s probably not worth it. However it’s out of the sun on a hot day, there is a toilet on site (which will cost you to use a public toilet) so including the beer, perhaps you will find it worthwhile.

Very small place it’s almost only a video very old one for describing the beer industry, tickets are so cheap so if u don’t have other stuff to do maybe give it a visit, the beer was good i took the dark one

I'd have liked to see a bit more history of the place, the building and the guild. It looked quite promising when you first enter with all the old equipment, but very little to actually tell you the history. Its mostly about the modern processes and feels more like an advertisement for their various beers. Too much of a focus on multi media videos that show very little.

Pretty cool place. Got a cold beer to drink included in the price of the ticket. So that was great. The museum is quite small and there's only a few machines there to see. But the ambience of the beer bar attached is pretty cool.

So the museum is so small nothing much to see. BUT : Patrik the bartender, is the BEST. Just start a conversation with him when he gives you the free beer. He is the highlight of our holiday in Brussels! Stayed there for an hour just to listen to his stories!

Ein sehr kleines Museum. Da es geregnet hat habe ich mich entschieden dorthin einen kleinen Abstecher zu machen. Muß man jetzt nicht unbedingt gesehen haben.

Nice museum with modern displays on beer history and making. Also appealing to kids. At the end you get a free bar at the sky bar but only 15cl, which is a pity, especially when they opened a bottle for you….Lots of beer on drafts as well but the major brands

Great local venue gives you a taste of the brewing journey with a great beer and great service. €5 very well spent!! 2011 PowerPoint presentation was amazing to say the least. Real nostalgia!

Sorry to see so many negative reviews! It's lovely, it's not a museum as such, it's more a pub with an exhibit attached but well worth the visit of you're in Brussels. The free beer was very very good! Out of interest, what is the dark beer? I'd love to buy some it was delicious.

The exhibition is nice, tho small. I would have liked to see how the tools and machines are actually used. The beer we got at the end was fantastic and the man who served us was very friendly!

Like others have said the museum is very small, we spent about 5 minutes looking around. However the information is nicely presented, a special mention to whoever wrote the backing music to the video- it goes surprisingly hard. The beer is pleasant and it's a nice place to come and have a drink. 5 euro for 25cl of beer plus the museum seems fair to me and the bartender is very polite even as I stumbled through trying to order in French. Definitely a great place to kill some time.

i LOVED having a beer here! it was only 5€ to learn about the beer making process and get to sample local belgian beer. a video was provided showing the beer companies around the country. the greeter and bartender Claude was so friendly and nice to me and my fellow tourist friends. Great experience overall!!

The museum is sparse. But the house beer is excellent. The blonde is light and refreshing. The dark beer has fruity notes with a bit of sour on the pallette!!

  • 5/5 Floris van H. 2 years ago on Google
Only 5€ for which you can look at the process of brewing beer and get a taste of either a strong, a blonde or a framboise beer. Would recommend

  • 3/5 Erick G. 1 year ago on Google
Not a museum, basically you pay for a small beer and for watching a movie with very annoying multi language text that is either to small o changes so quickly that you barley can read it. 5€ for the beer and one bad movie is okay... I guess. If you want a quick beer its okay. If you really want to learn about Belgian beer history I'm pretty sure you can find other place or tour for that purpose.

  • 4/5 Telegdy B. 4 months ago on Google
It is a nice place. Not totally fulfilling my expectations (if you know nothing about beer manufacturing then it's a good start), but with the beer tasting is worth it.

  • 3/5 Julie M. 11 months ago on Google
Only go if you have the Brussels card... the museum is just a room with a video screen, I was very disappointed. Good part is that you get a free beer.

  • 1/5 Julia A. 1 year ago on Google
Is not a museum, one video that has nothing to do with beer from 2011. The people there were very rude and there was only one type of beer, despite saying before there was. No place to sit. The bathroom is dirty. And the place was very crowded with just one person working there.

  • 5/5 Laura M. 7 months ago on Google
Very interesting to learn about beer while drinking an authentic chosen frozen draught beer. Loved the bar atmosphere of the whole Museum.

  • 3/5 Justin K. 1 year ago on Google
Small spot. Don't go here expecting much more than a pint. The museum space is a small theater setting. It's cute...just not what I expected.

  • 2/5 Torben O. 8 months ago on Google
It s more of exhibit with a video about beer production. It s not really recomendable, only saving grace is the beer you get after you looked at everything in 5 minutes.

  • 4/5 Miranda J. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice small brewery ‘museum’. For a 5€ fee you can educate yourself about making beers and Belgian beers. At the end of the visit you can taste their delicious beer.

  • 3/5 Naz E. 9 months ago on Google
It is a very small museum where you can see old equipment that was used to make a beer in early times. Probably it takes around 10 mins maximum to see the whole museum. After the visit you are served with a glass of beer. There were two options of beer. One was pils other was with cherry. We picked the one with cherry. It was nice and tasty however it doesn’t felt like an alcohol drink.

  • 1/5 Yuval M. 1 year ago on Google
If could, i would rate it even less. The amount of content in this place is likely waste of 5€. And ONLY CASH. Because they know if you pay by card you will ask for money back, from your card company, there ia not enough to see or learn about the history of the beer. The only plus you get a beer out of it. Still not worth it. 5 ero

  • 5/5 Morgan D. 11 months ago on Google
Nothing wrong here. Modern and antique brewing equipment, informative video on the history and process, and a glass of beer at the end. I came with the brussels card and thoroughly enjoyed it

  • 5/5 Adi T. 10 months ago on Google
Lovely place to hop into when you are in Grand Palace. Cute, little mesuem that shows how beer was prepared back in the day and now in the present day. You will also get to have a complimentary beer with the price of the ticket. The host was also very friendly and kind. Some of the earlier reviews that complain about the 5 euro ticket charge being too expensive is just not justified. This is a nice visit, especially for a beer loving visitor :)
