Queensgate has the potential to be a good shopping centre but with lots of shops closing and little entertainment on offer it lacks any personality or feeling. Multiple floors are closed where the John Lewis used to be and many other units empty. There are many restaurants outside but not anything else to do. There is a glow golf that should have the buzz of something to do but is always empty. There is a cinema being built but doesn’t look any where near ready. On the plus side it has a large car park and good bus and rail links.

Queensgate Shopping Centre is a fantastic place to shop in Peterborough. With a wide array of quality shops, there is something for everyone. The shopping centre is incredibly spacious and clean, making it a pleasure to walk around and explore. The staff are friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive shopping experience. It's a great place to visit if you're looking for a day out shopping with friends or family. Overall, I highly recommend Queensgate Shopping Centre for anyone looking for a fantastic shopping experience in Peterborough.

Very cool shopping centre. It is huge and with hundred of the mains shopping brands. Clean floors and good stairs. There is a Art and Crafts mini market in the group floor along with bubble tea stand. There are several small seats throughout the corridor as it is very spacious. The lighting is good and the environment is good. The location is key around the Peterborough area. There are also a couple of buildings for parking called: Yellow Parking and Blue parking, just 5 min walking from there. Overall very nice shopping centre.

Really good shopping centre. Plenty of parking, easily accessible by train. Love the comfy sofas to sit on if shopping has tired you out. Loads of places to eat and drink.

Good sized shopping setting with decent shops to buy from. Would have given 4 stars but there were no clear signs to find any lifts to go up and down each floor with a buggy or wheelchair except using certain lifts inside each big shop. There were also no signs and I could not find a single toilet anywhere. Would probably return here again to shop as there is a decent amount.

The place has been renovated. Very common shops. Good bits, the parking is in the shopping center. Car spaces are very narrow.

Many shops, but has very little joy or purpose to it other than an excuse to cut through. Very rarely do I find myself here actually to shop; I more often shop in the surronding stores outside the centre, or order online. It's fair clean and has decent staff, though.

With the covid-19 running riot it's a shame they don't have a more directed route for pedestrians. People without masks and shoulder to shoulder when walking through... The stores were controlling customers in and out of shops. Good varied variety of shops. Clean and light. Good access with parking attached.

A brilliant experience to shop at, I've been going to Queensgate Shopping Centre since I was age 11 and still shop there, it's very safe and especially during COVID-19 everyone wears a face mask but social distancing really need to improve MUST SHOP THERE AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!!!!?

Lovely shopping centre in Peterborough, unfortunately John Lewis is shut down now but you still have some good shops here, like M&S , joules, Monsoon and so on. Good cafes too. You also have outside shops too and also the beautiful Cathedral is right in the heart of square where you can have lovely lunch sitting outside of the cathedral grounds looking up at this gorgeous historic building.

So many shops closing down, high rentals, it's slowly becoming a ghost centre. Used to be vibrant and lively. Not now and precious few toilets. Supposed to be a green city but now you have to drive to shop anywhere decent. Shame.

What has happened to this once excellent shopping venue. We have fallen behind so many of neighboring city's. Will we ever recover. Shoppers surely must be put off by the state of our city centre. Think there's more homeless people than shoppers now.

Clean, tidy and well presented is a nice way to sum up this shopping centre. There's a huge selection of up market shops with a small football aswell, perfect for the mid visit break. A great hustle and bustle of a location. A great part of our visit here to Peterborough and was a welcomed sight to see such a well maintained part of the city.

My biggest problem with this place, and the reason I have given 2 stars, is the fact that the only toilets in this huge shopping centre are the ones at the entrance/exit of the multi-storey car park....other than that its okay...there are lots of big high street brands with good sized stores. It's a shame there aren't more boutiquey/independent shops.

Sadly no longer has a John Lewis which was normally my main reason to visit, but does have a nice range of other shops. Even at its busiest it doesn’t feel to crowded either and it’s always an easy going shopping trip. The parking is a bit tight but isn’t too expensive so it’s not that bad. There’s a few places to eat but no real food court so you’ll need to venture outside for restaurant, but most are within a couple of minutes walk.

I love it here, there's always security around so I feel safe, it's clean, spacious and a great variety of shops. What usually stops me from shopping as much as I like is I get tired but the seats mean i can take as many brakes as I like. The recent addition of the arcade has been ideal so I can hang out with my friend, grab coffee downstairs then go to the arcade all without going outside. Ideal for winter months. What's more as shown by my pictures there's usually something fun going on

Quite a nice shopping centre with a newly refurbished John Lewis. There is a reasonably sized M&S, Primark, H&M and Boots among other high street stores. Toilets for the centre are on the ground level and accessible by the lifts inside. Can be fairly busy at weekends.

Perfect place for your shopping needs.... I really needs to have more shops of named brands! Like there isnt enough. Its amazing though

  • 2/5 Helen T. 2 years ago on Google
The range of shops here wasnt great mainly show and clothes nothing exciting. Biggest issue was the toilets are by the car parks which means a huge walk should you need to go. Some actually within the centre itself would be more beneficial. I would hate to visit with small children who when they say they need a wee it means they want to go right now. By the time you have walked to the toilets they would have mo doubt wet themselves. It would also help if the staff within the centre actually knew where the toilets were as when asked they said there were none. Perhaps an orientation session for them is in order as customers from outside the area rely on information staff for information not just a 'sorry there are none' Even I know that a shopping centre of this size would have toilets, it was just a case of where exactly are they?

Not the same shopping experience whith John Lewis gone. But they are redeveloping the centre and spending 60 million pounds. Putting in a large cinema ,New shops and restaurants. Look forward to seeing it finished.

Chilled out, full of retail clothes and food shops. There are a few pharmacies here as well. Almost anything should be available here if you are not from Peterborough. For the rest of the items you can go around the shopping Center.

Needing something to replace John Lewis. Having said that, well done to the stores who are still up and running. We seemed to be almost the only ones to take advantage of the late night shopping! Mind you not all the stores were open. M& S closed early which surprised me.. so do check before going.

  • 4/5 Marian I. 2 years ago on Google
It was a good experience, staff was excellent and helpful, but the down side is the fact that it was overfill with shelfs and the costumers "traffic " was affected by that! Apart from that we had a great evening in a beautiful location!

Badly affected by all the store closures. John Lewis closing has had a major impact on the atmosphere in Queensgate at that end and more importantly the decision of whether to bother going there at all. For us it was the drawbto shopping in Peterborough. Needs a good replacement and soon

  • 3/5 margaret l. 2 years ago on Google
It's a shame that John Lewis is closed as it was a huge draw for people to come to. Especially after spending all that money on refurbishment. Now it's a bit of a mess while they do more building work? Not sure what for? The other shops are a good mix.

Its a good place for shopping, its expanding so there is a wing under construction wich makes the acces not so cool to some stores but I'm sure its going to be awesome. It has a lot of parking spaces and a great variety of stores.

  • 4/5 Anna K. 2 years ago on Google
I went to this place 2 days ago and since I have a small child whom I breastfeed I decided to went to their breastfeeding area which is located inside the toilet area, because they have two places the one inside the toilet area and the one just opposite the lifts. It was awful, the chair looks awful and the changing area very dirty, there is toilet inside. Atleast make it nicer as the Mall is very nice but please modify the Breastfeeding area to make it comfortable for breastfeeding Mothers.

  • 4/5 Ray A. 2 years ago on Google
Queensgate is good, plenty of building work going on but doesn't impact the shopping. Outside tho not many of your bigger stores mostly cafes etc

  • 3/5 Ian H. 2 years ago on Google
It’s a shopping centre that was built in the 80’s and hasn’t had much done to it since. Stores come and go. Parking is pretty good and it’s also very accessible by rail being a 2 minute walk from the station, should you fancy coming to Peterborough to shop.

  • 3/5 Nate 2 years ago on Google
As far as a shopping center go, this one is OK I suppose. It was much better before covid. But that can be said for pretty much everything. It's clean, with a good variety of shops to explore. Yeah, if your in Peterborough. Its worth a look.

  • 3/5 Aebvtivs 2 years ago on Google
"It's o.k." in the best Columbia voice! Yeah, usual big name shops, some smaller brand names too. What you'd expect from a soulless shopping mall. I go because I have to, not because I want to. Would be lovely if all the renovations were ever finished and empty shops opened up, even short term 'pop-up' shops.

  • 4/5 Maria R. 2 years ago on Google
I like coming here. Its nice to shop around, there are plenty of places to go however they only have one area of public toilets at the mall under the multistorey car park so if you aren't going into a cafe/restaurant, it's a bit of a trek to get there if you're way over the other side of the complex. Other than that, I enjoy visiting and lots of places to park!

  • 2/5 Your UX N. 2 years ago on Google
Plenty of shops but dear god the toilets are miles from anywhere useful. (Site is under renovation (02/2022) Toilets situated 10m walk away, at the bottom of a car park? Really? And they are very poorly signposted, too.

  • 5/5 Jessie V. 1 year ago on Google
I love the variety of shops here, such as clothes shops, gift shops, perfume, shoes, and much more. Lots of seating around as well upstairs and downstairs. There are often activities in the main hall area where they've had dinosaur displays and this time a little go kart circuit. Vaccinations are also here. There are escalators and a lift to use as well. Multistory carparks lead to the centre as well.

  • 4/5 Anthony G. 1 year ago on Google
Walk through here today which has been a long time waiting probably for well over a year. Excellent spacious shopping centre with all the brands that you need. Can't wait for the new food hall and cinema it going to have... 👌🏼😁

  • 5/5 Victoria W. 1 year ago on Google
Really liked Queensgate shopping centre. Only in Peterborough for the day but parking was easy and not expensive. All the shops were open and we were impressed. Felt safe, easy to walk around. Would happily return.

  • 5/5 Ste G. 1 year ago on Google
Can usually find what I am looking for in here and there is a great selection of shops. Although it can get quite busy, there is plenty of space to move around and plenty of seating areas. It's always really clean which is helpful and also there is usually staff about to deal with any spillages etc. There are places to stop for a bite to eat or grab a drink and more shops than I will ever need.

  • 4/5 Rebecca C. 1 year ago on Google
Good access for disabled people and plenty of parking. My only problem was the lifts, in the centre itself there is only one which was out of order so we had to go into a shop to use theirs. Could really do with another lift facility in the centre to save going into shops and trying to find theirs.

  • 4/5 Alan H. 1 year ago on Google
Loads of good shops, unfortunately a few empty places which doesn't look good. The only problem I had was I couldn't find the toilets, saw a sign for them but the signage soon vanished, went back on myself found another sign headed in the direction it showed but ended up elsewhere. Eventually found them as leaving to go to the carpark.

  • 5/5 Chriso B. 1 year ago on Google
A nice day trip to Peterborough today and to the Queensgate shopping centre. A good shopping centre with lots of your usual big name shops. In the centre there wasn’t any toy shops what we was looking for, but thanks to asking Google found the entertainer outside. There was a couple of vacant shops so not sure if places had closed down or being redeveloped? Things to point out.. All the eating / food outlets are outside, so if your looking for somewhere to eat. We stopped of in pizza express, and had a fab meal. The toilets are in the centre on level 1. (I see in other reviews people said there wasn’t any and there definitely is!) They was spotlessly clean. Overall found everything we was looking for, and would return again if we revisit the area.

I like going into Queensgate Shopping Center. There are few very good shops, however I wish there were some more clothing and shoes brands. Certainly variety isn't so great when looking for something special which means you need to drive to either Cambridge or London. In general it is a very big mall with buzzing atmosphere.

  • 5/5 IRINA C. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful inside. Nice finishing touch everywhere. Very welcoming. Great atmosphere. Not sure about public toilets location. Not easy to find, I don't think signs/directions for it are clear.

  • 5/5 Debra H. 1 year ago on Google
Great shops in a lovely setting. Caters to all pockets , tastes and styles. Even better you can go for the day and have lunch out as there is a host of restaurants with too many choices. Newly opened is mini-golf and pictures so you could even extend your day and have dinner too and a movie 🎬 🎞 🎥

Also decorated lovely at Christmas time 🎅🌲🦌 ✨️ xxxxxxxxxxx Also a sensory room for people with learning disabilities to unwind & chill 👌 fantastic idea my boys loved having a break in there in between shopping... Also got nice clean toilets and a big baby changing station 👶 😊

  • 3/5 Stephen J. 1 year ago on Google
A shopping centre that is currently neither good nor bad. The open breezeways mean that it is (in winter) a cold indoor place to be. The newer end that is currently being worked on is nice and open and we can hope that this improvement will continue on throughout the rest of the center in the future. At the moment, the range of shops send pretty limited access there are a large number of vacant shops areas

  • 4/5 Nicole N. 1 year ago on Google
A good variety of shops and accomodations for whatever you might need. It can be confusing to navigate at times as there are not a lot of hints on where which exit is. I do like the piano music they play though and the fact that even though it is a very large space it is not very echoey. It makes for a good shopping experience.

  • 4/5 Hannah S. 1 year ago on Google
Nice shopping center, children enjoyed this ride pictured in the photo. It was £3.50 a ride which lasted 3-5mins. It was lots of fun when there were atleast 4 on it.

  • 3/5 Sherin C. 1 year ago on Google
It's a nice place for shopping but giving 2 starts not placing enough benches to sit and relax for people inside the mall. We got enough place outside, but the thing is in winter and rain it's bit difficult to manage. Have paid parking and if you don't like park inside the Queen's Gate parking then u can park outside in a public paid parking. If you don't spend more time in the mall just park in the ASDA parking (free for 2 hours) and the shop.

  • 5/5 J B. 1 year ago on Google
Queensgate Car Park great for parking reasonable priced , lots of shops to choose from. Clean, spacious not a bad shopping center. Leaving the shopping center leads to more shops, banks , restaurants , the Cathedral, lovely and clean.

  • 5/5 Kathy G. 10 months ago on Google
A great place to visit if you want a day out. A good variety of shops and places to eat and drink. Clean and tidy but could be more toilets. I got lost and then found the only ones are in M&S, and you have to hunt for them. Otherwise worth going to, especially if you like Lush.

  • 3/5 Laura Y. 10 months ago on Google
Nowhere near as good as it used to be. I appreciate that they are revamping the centre but shop wise there really isnt a great deal of choice anymore. Was really disappointed today was the 1st time in visiting in 5 months and i definitely wont be rushing back would much rather travel further afield to get a better range of shops.

  • 3/5 jack L. 7 months ago on Google
It has been about 25 years since we last went here, and while somethings have remind the same other have not, what I can say it is impressive how well it has survived in difficult times. A good mix of shops, plenty of car parking available, it would seem many of the old high street shops have moved into the centre and left room for alot of food places outside.

  • 3/5 John-Paul R. 8 months ago on Google
It's fine. Serves its purpose & they've tried to make it a more pleasant environment but annoying with a pushchair (so I imagine also for wheelchair users) and the loss of John Lewis & its cafe has hurt it. Parking is cheap & staff have always been friendly.

  • 5/5 Martin O. 8 months ago on Google
Great pop up unit featuring locally made arts and crafts. All the usual high street outlets you would expect. Lovely to see a shopping centre opening up onto the lovely Cathedral Square.

Since John Lewis and other premium shops have left the Queensgate shopping centre there is little left to bring you to this place. If it wasn't for the banks we would have no reason to go there. Opting to go elsewhere such as Serpentine Green, Brotherhood and the quaint town of Stamford. For bigger purchases Cambridge is not too far away with a far greater selection of shops

It's a lovely, airey shopping centre but currently lacks a department store and that something special element that makes me want to pay to park and visit the city centre. There are empty units, this could be used for pop up craft market stalls that the talented folks around the area could hire to sell individual and unique items they make.

These were taken when it was pride. Peterborough is a great place to Go shopping! And nice market. These were taken last year! Two of me in the purple shirt. That's in Queens shopping centre! They have a good burger Van there! Have a McDonald's. Sports shop etc. everything in a good walking distance!

On the whole it’s a great little shopping centre. 4 large multi-storey car parks with direct access to the shopping centre. Direct access to the city centre as well for more shops. Well decorated to suit time of year and events. A few empty units. My only complaint would be the amount of children/teens allowed to run riot through the centre, throwing items off the balcony and shouting. Security team don’t seem to do anything to stop them

Great range of shops. Paid for parking before going back to the car while ladies went to the toilets. Large queues. By the time we went to exit it had decided I needed to pay again. Other than that, a great time out shopping.

Large shopping centre located in the heart of Peterborough featuring a vast variety of stores. We visited in late November so there were many nice Christmas displays / lights setup throughout. I would definitely recommend this as the main place to go shopping in Peterborough though it can get pretty busy.
