Many
places
lay
claim
to
the
mantle
of
great
Middle
Eastern
food
in
Brussels,
but
Pois
Chiche
could
rightfully
win
it
many
times
over.
Behind
its
small
and
unassuming
exterior
across
the
road
from
a
church
square
is
a
restaurant
where
maybe
20
people
could
sit.
All
of
them
glowing
with
satisfaction.
This
is
all
vegetarian
food,
super
tasty
and
carefully
made.
The
portions
are
fair
if
not
overly
generous.
It’s
a
‘come
as
you
are’
kind
of
place:
order
from
the
counter
-
no
cash
-
pay
at
once
and
you
will
eventually
be
beckoned
by
the
plastic
buzzer.
Unlimited
hot
water
for
tea
or
lemonade
are
both
on
tap.
You
will
need
to
serve
yourself
and
clear
your
own
table;
but
self
service
is
often
safe
service.
The
staff
are
very
welcoming
and
thoughtful.
The
menu
is
simple
and
the
simplest
option
is
to
have
one
of
everything.
The
food
is
the
reason
to
come
here
and
you
will
not
be
disappointed.
Falafel,
mutabal,
dolmades,
cauliflower
shawarma,
olives,
halloumi,
pitta
etc.
It’s
all
there
and
it’s
all
delicious.
