It's a good hotel. The room was nice. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful, sadly I cannot say the same for the restaurant staff, which was too slow, even when they were reminded, that we expected a menu over 30 minutes ago. Location is good, ony drawback is that the hotel is next to the train tracks.

After 3 days driving, stopped at this hotel to have a shower and a good sleep. Checked in late night and agreed on a late checkout for an extra fee. There was no hot water at night and the next day I was woken up by the cleaning lady 4 times before my check-out time. There was no “Don’t disturb” paper for me to hang on the door. Hotel itself is nice but my basic expectations of having a hot shower and a good sleep were not met.

This hotel seems very high-end, except in the small portion in which we spent the night. The area which contained our room seemed very dated, was dimly lit, and the hotel was partially unfinished as if they are in the middle of renovating. Our shower was moldy and had hair from previous guests on the floor. I am not comfortable in unfamiliar bathrooms if they are not clean, so this put me off of the entire stay. The breakfast was good. There was one woman in particular who was very nice to my husband and I in explaining some technical difficulties they were having with the hot breakfast bar. Unfortunately we did not get to see much of the hotel as we only stayed one night. If you are staying here, I would recommend paying a bit extra to stay in anything but the lowest-priced room, and maybe you'll get to have a clean shower.

Love the breakfast and staff. But rooms should be renovated. Clean but old. Ironing board with a press (?!) fell off the wall when I tried using it. After fixing myself no chance on tough wrinkles. Luckily, lovely room service brought me a proper one.

It has everything what you need. Great swimming pool and spa, tasty breakfast with fresh food. Enjoyed our stay here

Amazing hotel! Right after you walk in you are greeted by a polite and cheerful stuff. The design of the hotel is very modern, room was very comfortable and spacious, black out curtains let us sleep very well. A lot of options to choose from for breakfast. There is also a swimming pool and a spa, unfortunately we did not have a time to visit this time but will definitely visit again to relax even more!

The cottage rooms are a bit of a disappointment, situated behind the hotel next to the garbage dump. The rooms are old and worn out. The garden has a view of a container and brick walls of the backside of the hotel. Getting to the hotel one has to walk around and the feeling you get is that you are in the out-house as a second rated guest. A huge difference with the expectation that was set on the website. A long stay is only to 3pm, as we needed to stay a bit longer we needed to pay for another night. After upgrading to an executive suite we had a nice modern room. Food and services are ok, but overall location of this hotel is not recommended other than for business related to the industrial area that is 5 kilometers nearby

Rooms were super hot. Air co did not work. Heating could not be turned off. Also during dinner as well as during breakfast the area was extreme hot. Very uncomfortable (also confirmed by the staff working there). Also lots of noise when you sleep at the back (could be exceptional situation). The food at the dinner as well as at the breakfast was great. Friendly staff. That you had to pay extra for wellness was a bummer. Fitness facility good but a bit outdated accommodation.

After coming here for business with 20-50 rooms at a time for the last 20 years I've seen many upgrades and changes for the better. The latest is a new 6 story building with very nice rooms that live to todays standards. The breakfast is excellent in a self serve type environment. The lunch and dinner side has a good selection of food although the service does not warrant the pricing. Now for the bad relative to the Hotel is that the older rooms are in need of some serious maintenance. For the money and carrying the Van Der Valk name we expect a fully functional room without exceptions. Fridge, AC and hot water and bath drains need to be fully functional. When we rent this many rooms I constantly have to hear about issues from my team with the before mentioned items. Either get it fixed immediately or move us to a new room without exception. Continuing problems that go on day after day is unacceptable and will only lead dissatisfaction and possible loss of business. Spend the many and either get a competent maintenance staff that can be on-call 24hrs /day or upgrade the infrastructure. Lastly th parking leaves a lot to be desired. Parking is insufficient and the spaces are too narrow for any full size vehicles. A parking garage under the new addition should have been prudent and would have solved a lot of parking issues.

Thank you for the warm welcome! As a regular vandervalk customer, here would be some feedback on the junior suite: - visible spider above bathroom sink - please please, prepare airco before arrival. It’s always super hot when coming in the rooms. - related to previous point, the airco are so low power, it takes ages to cool down. I once had a top floor corner room when it was very hot outside. The airco was not able to cool the room at all. - maybe state somewhere the rooms will be ground floor - toilet is extremely small. While sitting, my nose can basically touch the door. - space in front of bed with tv is non existence. It’s waiting for an accident to happen and someone to hit the tv. - not enough small bath/shower mini bottles for 2 people. - bonus point: automatic shades would be nice. (Vandervalk amsterdam has this) Oh and no usb AND usb-c built in connectors near the bed. I believe the executive room has this, but I might be mistaken Other random thing: - i was unable to purchase a pack of lays potato chips. It did not find the item. Have a self scan. Better yet: self scan + scan room key and bill it on the room Some good things: - bubblebath is very comfortable and working very well. - as in all the rooms I’ve been in (executive usually) shower is good. - bed is comfortable, sheets are good.

This hotel does not meet the Van der Valk standard in my opinion. It's an old hotel, with terrible soundproofing (I could hear the people in the room next door walk and I could also hear each time someone was closing a door in the corridor or speaking) and old furniture in the room (looks like late 1990, early 2000). While booking on the Van der Valk website, I asked for a quiet room on the highest floor with a queen bed (not a twin bed)... and I got the opposite. The lady at the reception didn't even mention that they could not meet my requests, I had the surprise when I got into the room. So I got room 405 with a twin bed (I can cope with that), on ground floor (view on the parking, the playground and a terrace, so no privacy) and it was noisy (there are train tracks 50m from the hotel with a train passing every 30min, a kid playground and road noise). Also, I highly suggest to rethink the lightning in the room. Installing motion detection lights with a timer in the bathroom is utterly stupid. The lights switched off 3 times while I was in the shower... and moving, obviously! To switch it back on, I had to exit the shower and move in front of the sink... Really dumb design. I'm a regular customer of the Van der Valk's hotels but I will not come back to this one in Beveren.

Great hotel with great food. The restaurants are fairly priced and the food is great. The Chef’s selection of sushi was awesome and a great way to end the night. Very enjoyable and really fresh.

Meet and greet was average on arrival. We had the panoramic suite which was nice but design not brilliant with many opportunities to slip over and hurt yourself from hot tub to shower/sauna. However great fun and clean and comfortable

The room and hotel was great. We just had some evidence in our room of the recent renovation where certain items were not completed or not properly done. 1. At entrance as one enters left side floor tiles cracked. 2. Towel rail in bathroom not fixed properly to wall. 3. Air conditioner not working to full potential, not cooling down room to set temperature. HVAC system maybe not running at full capacity or undersized. 4. A suitcase bench would be good so one does not have to access it on the floor or the bed. 5. Extra hanger rail would be good too. 6. Extra towel rail would also be good. 7. Room was advertised with Senseo coffee machine but instead used the aluminium pod system. We brought extra Senseo pod based on this..... :-) we wanted to fill a flask in the morning for use through the day. Otherwise a pleasant experience at a hotel we will definitely revisit.

Room: 'Lagoon suite'. big shower, bubble bath and room. Matras a bit too soft. Fans are making quite some noise. Overall the room is very clean and enjoyable. Service: helpful staff. Location : lot of parking spaces. Easily reachable

The good things are the rooms: beautiful, spacious, well decored, and luxurious. Wish there were more balloons in the romantic package for the price. The only bad things are the location, in the middle of nowhere, if you get there by metro or bus, you have to walk for 30 minutes and wait at least 1 hour for the next bus. The downpayment is very high, it is as if you are booking 2 rooms instead of one.

Nice hotel with very large and confortable room. The bathroom is great with a bath and a separate shower. The wifi is great and very stable. The restaurant is delicious and the meals copious There is plenty of parking spot and it's possible to park close to your room and to access it without going through the main entrance, which is very handy in case of bad or cold weather

One of the best designed rooms I have seen. Very comfortable in all aspects. Room service is exceptional with daily complimentary water and coffee. This hotel will definitely be my preference in this area. Cost of room about 150/night

An excellent hotel located in away from the hustle/bustle. Food was excellent most of the times and the staff/service were good but could be more helpful.
