What a gem of a place! I absolutely loved how well the place was organized and maintained. I didn’t have any expectations when I booked the experience, but I enjoyed it so much that I left thinking I need to come back and spend a whole day there. They have many interactive points for education, where storytelling starts based on sensors and gives an overview of the animals in that specific area. The only downside is that those are mainly in Dutch. Food courts are convenient to reach in nicely planned areas so you have to option to relax if you feel like you need it, without interfering too much in the areas specially designed for showing a particular region and the animals. The food is also diverse, from different cuisines, which was surprisingly pleasant. They really designed a journey to discover the world/ nature and try to recreate a proper experience. Definitely recommending! I went on a public holiday so quite a lot of kids running everywhere, but I still had a blast :)

Really nice zoo to visit in the city of Rotterdam. The zoo isn't that big, but it's not that small either. A good days walk about with closing hours at 6 p.m. unless you buy an evening ticket. The kids enjoyed, but got a bit fussy because of the walking and the lovely warm sun. The different restaurant terraces were quite full which made it so much more enjoyable. We didn't get to see the black rhinos and the crocodiles, but another reason to go back for another visit.

A very well kept zoo quite close to the Rotterdam Centraal train station and easily reachable by metro and bus. More than anything else the zoo provides education for children and adults alike. Toilet facilities are scattered across the zoo as well as places for refreshments. It has an extensive bookstore too. Highly recommended when you are in Rotterdam even if you (just like me) are against animals put in confined spaces. PS: Polar bears do not belong in any zoo !

Great place for a day outing. They've lots of animals from different parts of the world. For a better experience you can download their app where it shows the feeding schedule of then animals which was interesting to see. We saw them feeding the penguins which was novel. The underwater aquarium is quite nice and they've got diverse varieties of sea animals. Also they were many small restaurants and cafeterias to refresh. The zoo is huge so you need to block at least 5-6 hours to visit everything.

Really enjoyed our day at the zoo. We went with our 2 year old son. It was all well taken care of for a family visit. Clear paths, plenty of small food shops. Unfortunately no halal options, but then again, there was enough vegetarian options. Will most likely visit again.

Visited on a Monday morning, there were more visitors and kids than I would have expected so be prepared to the fact you won’t be alone even on a weekday morning. Total visit lasts approx. 4 hours (but haven’t read any explanations), there is a lot to see even if the zoo doesn’t seem big. You could easily spend 5 hours there if you are not in a hurry. For non-dutch speakers : there are no English signs nor explanations, even the zoo map given at the entrance is not translated. Such a shame they haven’t thought about any foreign visitors… Cloakroom : there are available lockers for 2€ each, but the info displayed on their official website hasn’t been updated (it was said 0.95€/day). If you’re coming with kids there is a huge outdoor playground space inside the zoo which is nice for kids to have fun.

Blijdorp is a great zoo but we were rather disappointed to find many areas cordoned off due to covid and quite a radical change in the amount of animals available for sighting. We can only hope that it will improve in the coming months.

This place is huge! First though, it's 25€ to enter as an adult, but it's worth it. The animals look well taken care of and they have room for the elephants to have a place for summer and winter environments. My favorite part was probably the red pandas. They are adorable! They definitely bring in a crowd. I know in the one day I visited, I only got to see 1/3 of the park. Also, the entrance to the zoo, I thought nobody was in there. I didn't see anyone loitering around. Inside, there was a fairly decent crowd. Yes, I recommend a visit to this zoo. The animals look healthy and well taken care of and there is a lot to do here. We walked around for several hours taking our time and still only visited maybe half of the exhibits.

Although it gets a little confusing at times to navigate through the place when you miss something and you wanna go back but after a while you get the hang of it. It was very nice trip. The zoo has lots of nice animals with multiple view angles indoor and outdoor, so you should be able to see the animals in different seasons. The aquarium section was also nice. There are many rest stations with different food options across the zoo. It is easy to spend 7 hours there without feeling bored or disappointed.

They have animals continent wise and have recreated the similar environment. Amazon rainforest was nice. But regarding the safety, the lions , tigers and other wild animals could be kept physically distant or made a deep gorge to ensure further safety. Very good use of the available space, multiple spots to view the enclosures from and open enclosures (almost no bars and a lot of glass and plastic). Even though it was a day in October many of the animals were out and about, do I think we got a bit lucky honestly! This is a pretty great zoo I think. From what I could understand if the displays there was quite a bit slant to teaching admit conservation. Which is great! But for the non-native be warned that the majority of displays do NOT have any sort of translation. Also be warned it's quite a large site, even walking at quite a brisk pace you're likely to need a good chunk of a day to make it around. I was actually with my wife and her rather slow father... And there was legitimate fears we might not get out before they closed (spoiler: we did).

It's a very nice zoo with beautiful decoration and big compounds compared to other zoos. However, I think there were way too many people inside and we often didn't feel safe anymore. Especially in houses, paths were narrow and a 1.5m distance to each other was not possible. I think a maximum capacity for each house would be very useful.

Zoo is divided into logical sections which are well connected to each other. So in less time you happen to see more. Restaurants, shops are inside the zoo which help you collect memories.

Wat me opviel, was dat veel dieren veel te weinig ruimte hebben om een beetje zichzelf te kunnen zijn/om hun natuurlijke gedrag te kunnen vertonen. Als wij deze dieren commercialiseren, laten we dan in ieder geval zorgen dat ze de voor hen best mogelijke leefomgeving in gevangenschap hebben. Misschien kiezen voor minder soorten zodat er ruimte ontstaat om de verblijven van de dieren die er wel zijn te vergroten/verbeteren?

Was lang geleden dat ik Blijdorp bezocht maar het is echt een prachtige dierentuin. Schoon en Groen

Je kijkt je ogen uit, veel extra informatie hoekjes en heel leuk dat de kleintje hun ei kwijt kunnen bij de speelhoekjes voor en na de pinguins!

Voldoende parkeerplaatsen en een goed verzorgde mooie tuin met vele planten en bomen en niet te vergeten de dieren Alles is goed bereikbaar ook voor gehandicapten.

Erg leuk! Voor kinderen is de speeltuin ook heel gaaf. Helaas moet je daarvoor wel onder de 18 zijn.

Het is altijd een reuze leuk ontmoeting om mijn broeders de apen te mogen aanschouwen. Easily one of the nicest zoos I've ever been to! Very affordable, nicely laid out, easily walkable for everyone. We had burgers and fries (I had the fried catfish sandwich myself) over near the big cat area, and they were piping hot and tasted great. A bit expensive for the food but we kind of expected that. The weather was absolutely beautiful (11/6/20) with mid 70s temps, sun and a breeze. I would highly recommend this zoo for anyone visiting the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and I even have 2 teenage sons that absolutely loved it!

This place is always a great kid place...but with Corona virus almost all the inside animal huts are close so they keep the staff safe...but the gift and coffee shops where they make.money are still open..

This place is amazing. You have splash pads for the kids. It is very scenic to just walk and enjoy. There is a myriad of plants, fountains and waterfalls. It is great for a family or for date night. I even saw a wedding taking place. Great job OKC on the park, definitely an oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city.

Wonderful zoo! The staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We like to take our pup Anya to pet friendly places and found out that they offer a Doggie Hotel which is climate controlled while we toured the zoo. Definitely a great place to visit!

Always fun. Much improvement every time you go. I always feel a little melancholy about zoo animals but they keep improving the spaces and the animals seem well cared for. Lots of educational info on site. Caretakers are friendly and will chat. Grounds are lovely.

A lot of the exhibits we're closed which was disappointing to say the least. It's a nice zoo with decent exhibits though. I was shocked at how many things they charged extra for. We had a good time and will probably go back especially in the summer when I hope more exhibts will be open.

Big zoo! Took a little over two hours to see everything outside! Only giving 4 stars though because every indoor activity was closed and we missed a lot of animals. Tulsa zoo has the inside things open, just have to wear masks and social distance. Kids had a good time though.

Pre covid it was a great place . Recent visit was horrible train closed mostly all the exhibits closed. Harly no animal's out waste of 43 dollars waste of time. So disappointed.

We decided to take a small trip out of Texas and went to this Zoo. Even though it was winter and covid times we still saw some amazing animals that I have never seen at other zoos. The large cats were especially active and closer than I have ever seen. It was a lot bigger than I anticipated. Great value and lots to seem.

It seemed a little lonely for the spacious elephant areas to have only a single little elephant each when I visited, but perhaps there were others receiving special care elsewhere at the time. It was also a bit surprising to see how little room the large cats get to roam around, and concerning to see them pacing back and forth endlessly in such a small square footage. Not being an expert, all I can say is that I hope more visitors continue to support this home for so many wonderful creatures, and that we can ensure their well-being for many more generations. That said, I had a thoroughly enjoyable time! I've never seen such bright, healthy flamingoes, and the bird enclosure was a pleasure to stroll through! The many beautiful cats were such a sight to behold, many species of which I'd never seen before- like the relatively small fishing cats and the caracal with their curious ear tufts. I was bummed that the red pandas were nowhere to be seen when I came by, but so many of the Oklahoma Zoo residents were unbelievably photogenic! Such playful sea lions! Such lumbering bears! However, my hands-down favorite stop had to be in front of the adorable sleeping fox family. My visit left me with memories that will last a lifetime!

I’m not a big fan of zoos myself but was pleasantly surprised by this one. A weekday visit during school holidays with family and it wasn’t over full. Plenty to see and do and the zoo is well laid out and you are able to get a decent view of the animals. All the big name species are there and my favourite was the polar bear. Die Tickets haben wir kurz davor online gekauft und konnten sie dann direkt am Handy vorzeigen und konnten dadurch die Warteschlange umgehen.

The animals seems to be in good conditions, with space in the exterior or with optimal conditions in their space.
