Solid. I always try to go to a local spot. You're made to feel welcome, prices are fair and a great, divey, but clean, bar feel. If you have the luxury of Dez as your bartender, he is a force of nature. As passionate a person as you'll ever meet and a good bartender to boot. Best bar in the city.

This place has the rudest most self indulgent staff I’ve ever experienced at a bar. They seem to be trying too hard to be hip for such a mediocre bar. Food sucked, beer selection even worse, conversation skills of the bartender borderlined on what you might have with a brick wall. Never went back

Best dive in town. Good prices, staff is cool, the general crowd is a good crowd. Can't beat 2 - 6 happy hour pricing. Still a great spot to come and hang. A dartboard and pool table and a great back patio.

You might enjoy yourself on a Saturday night if you're drunk enough but otherwise service is slow and the bartenders act like you're wasting their time unless you're a friend. Customer service is not on their list of priorities and if it is it falls below impressing the few over the many.

Super cute place! Definitely more of a spot for the chill people of the world. Bartender is wonderful and the whole experience just had a very "real" feeling. Very comfortable and made me feel at home away from home. ❤️

Great dive bar that usually attracts an interesting mix to say the least. Between some of the other patrons, the pool table, dart board & pinball machine, all kinds of funny & random things hanging on the ceilings & walls, the bathroom poetry & smoke shack art you shouldn't be bored at the Hat!

I’m here on business so just making my rounds do I know where to go with future visits. Not the most friendly as in I expected some conversation. Ask where I’m from or something. Moving on once I’ve finished my refreshing beverage. W we I’ll attempt to chat.

Duh...coolest neighborhood hang-out that hasn't changed a lick in many years. Love this place. Bartenders are attentive, prices are fair. Eclectic crowd.

The best hole in the wall. There is so much history here with the place. Anytime I visit, it's the same. That's what I love about. Always a cold beer and a smile. I love the hat!

Nate and Taco alone make the Top Hat my favorite bar. They learned my name so fast and can even name all of my favorite drinks (and can most of the time guess which one I want at the time) It's a nice feeling when you're feeling down.. I've brought friends and family, and they treated them the same. quick to remember names and drinks. And it's the only bar i feel safe in. It's also a great place for a very interesting and diverse crowd if that's your cup of tea! If you want some food that isn't a frozen pizza, don't plan to eat there. But that frozen pizza has been a part of a lot of good memories ☺️

Had some friends in town and brought them to the best little dive bar in Sioux Falls. Great service, great people, great atmosphere. Always have and always will love the Hat.

Great place to go and hang out. Pool and darts available, including covered outside heated/cooled smoking area. Great staff! Overall a great bar for service industry workers and more!

Was in town to take mom to the doctor, needed a beer and found the Top Hat! A great mix of people and the staff was friendly and awesome. Great place, great atmosphere!

The bartender here is fantastic and it's quiet enough to have a conversation.

I always find adventure on the Top Hat patio after dark.

Their video lottery pay out nicely. There are 2 nickel machines too.

Honestly a really nice bar with a very, very chill bartender (Kris. Chris?) Not intensely expensive, just a bit dive-y, which of course adds charm. And there's pinball!

What a place. Only having heard legends of a true "Midwest Bar", I did not know what I was getting into. Upon arrival, you are overwhelmed with a bunch of junk and signs on the walls and ceilings, and the tiny space had a mixed crowd of hip college kids, old-timers obviously glued to the same stool for years and no nonsense bartenders and staff that would smack you in the back of the head for deigning to review their bar on Google Maps. The back porch is worth a visit and the restroom is well used.

Great place to meet new people. Everyone seems to know everyone else and after the pandemic that hits the spot 100%.

Food was excellent but everything else sucked honestly. Went out on a Tuesday night and was charged $50 dollars the next day. I was only charged $6 and told the gal to swipe my card and I signed it right then and there! When I called, no explanation.

I’ve been to all of two bars in Sioux Falls and this is my favorite. Cute girls, handsome men, a burly bartender, lots of love for my pooch and wooks in the back. For simple traveler passing through, I couldn’t ask for anything more and made some friends along the way. Hats off to Too Hat.
