This was the best tasting food I had while traveling South Dakota. Customer service was fanatical. The food was tasteful and fulfilling. Love there garlic naan bread

I love this place. I think it is a hidden gem in Sioux Falls. I love experiencing new cultures and a big part of that is food. This place is so authentic and delicious. My wife and I always get the dinner for 2. It's a really fun way to try multiple items. We always go home with leftovers too. The food hits just a good the next day! Everytime we walk in the door I feel like the staff is excited that we are there; so welcoming. Forget about the same old burger spot and the 2 for microwaved 20's. This is where I want to eat when I get to choose. And if you like spicy, they can make that happen.

I’m a huge fan of Indian food and this place was top notch, both with food and with service. The waitress was so sweet and helpful. I don’t think our experience could’ve been better.

The biryani was delicious. Probably the best of all biryani's I have had in the US. Service of all the staff was really nice. Super sweet people. And the ambience was great too.

The inside is pretty neat they have all sorts of decor. I got the butter chicken with garlic naan and my fiancé got the chicken tikka masala. The rice was super good. My fiancé said her food was very good and flavorful her chicken was white. But my butter chicken had way too dark of meat to be considered chicken. My butter chicken was super dark meat it almost didn’t even seem like chicken it seemed more like beef or some other kind of dark meat honestly. Hopefully it was actually chicken and not what I think it was. The customer service is decent but the guy who took our order didn’t seem very enthusiastic and acted as if he hated his job. Other then that I would definitely come back. It would be 4 stars but the few problems I mentioned made it a 3 star review.

My favorite restaurant in Sioux Falls!! All the food I've tried here has been delicious, the chicken curry is my favorite. Reasonable prices, the staff is always great, and service is fast!

With do many vegetarian options it is hard to choose and our dishes came out to share at the table. Nothing was too spicy even with medium. The mango lassi may be one of the best things I have ever drank. At $4 it is super cheap and way tastier than it has any right to be. Can't wait to go back.

Chicken Tikka masala. Chicken had no flavor so it brought down the goodness intensity this dish had potential to have. Masala was good with good heat but the Chicken tastes like water. Messed it up tremendously. Garlic Naan good fresh and taste.

We placed an order online, using their website, which was user friendly and probably just as fast and simple as using DoorDash or Grubhub, etc. After placing the order, I called the restaurant to notify them that we had a nut allergy and they were helpful in letting us know that nothing we ordered contained nuts. The food was ready quickly and the size of the dishes gave us leftovers for another 2 days. The food was delicious and authentic. Our family loves Indian cuisine and this place did not disappoint. Everything was fresh, hot, and flavorful. We have not a single complaint. Unfortunately we were only passing through the state on a long cross-country drive, but we'll be talking about this place for a long time. We should've ordered even more for the road!! We loved the food.

Well, I have never ever had Indian food in my life until the other day. On a previous business trip one of our customers is Indian and as things go we started talking about restaurants in that area to try and Indian was one of the choices. I shared that I never tried it so I wouldn’t know what to try and was open for recommendations. I didn’t try it on that trip but now with a few recommendations I was ready for the next time I found a good place. So on this last trip there was Shahi Palace a very short distance from my hotel. I did a takeout order of Butter Chicken, spicy. It cleared my sinuses but didn’t torture my tastebuds and the rest of my mouth. Sadly there are no photos as it was a takeout order so pics wouldn’t look as nice as in the restaurant. I really liked the Butter Chicken and Naan. Nice meal. Well, the weather took a turn for the worse and my flight was delayed again and again. So my hotel stay was extended. I had to venture out and send some packages back at a UPS store and then after a while on the phone with the airlines I decided to eat in and went down to the restaurant. This time I ordered the meal for one which was more than plenty. Appetizer, entree’ & naan and dessert and tea. Very nice meal at a very nice price. I did snap some photos this time. Tikka Masala was fantastic as well but my favorite so far was the Butter Chicken. Very friendly and attentive staff, several people checked on me regularly. Highly recommend.

We went for lunch, and it was a fantastic experience. I had garlic naan, and it was nicely cooked! I also made an order for chicken tikka masala, and it was seasoned to perfection. We additionally ordered chicken briyani, and it was also good! The staff was very attentive, and I highly appreciated their service and friendliness. I had a very good experience with tasty Indian food!

Food tastes good but service is bad. I had called in for a to go order and was told it will be ready in 30 minutes. I arrive at the resturant after 30 minutesto pick up my order and I had to wait in store for another 45 minutes to pick it up. Every 15 min a different guy comes up to me and says they are just working on your bread. In normal situation I would have let this go but at time of pandemic this is unacceptable. I would this twice before placing an order again.

Beautifully decorated restaurant with a nice atmosphere. There are many vegetarian and vegan options, the online menu also shows which menu items are dairy-free. I had the Dal Tadka and it was quite good. My family enjoyed their food as well.

One of my favorite restaurants in Sioux Falls period. As good as or better than any other Indian restaurant I've eaten at. Even if you've never tried Indian food, go for the weekday lunch buffet. They have a rotating selection each day of the week, you're bound to find something you like (aka Tandoori Chicken and Naan). My advice for eating Indian food, don't judge the food by appearance, even something that doesn't look appetizing can taste amazing. Update: This place continues to be my favorite restaurant in Sioux Falls. We get takeout from here at least once a month. My go to dish EVERY time is the Korma. I've decided the Vegetarian Korma is the best bang for your buck, since the sauce is star of the show. No meat needed since it's about $5 more.

VERY nice dining experience. My Krahi lamb was seasoned to perfection. We also ordered naan and it was a very tasty addition to our meal. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I encourage you to try the Shahi Palace for a unique culinary experience.

We had lunch here on our way to Rapid City from Minnesota. We ordered Dal Makhani and Butter Chicken. The naan was light (not heavy), and the Butter Chicken tasted really good. For $64, the food was really enjoyable. If we ever come back to South Dakota, we’ll be sure to visit again!

I've had the carry out before and always thought the food was delicious, but the dining experience was on a completely different level! My date and I were blown away by the amazing food! I can't truly express how much more fun I had dining in! The entire staff was exceptional and I will absolutely be going back.

I live out of town and wanted something I do not have every day. This place did not fall short of amazing. Excellent food, coming from what I describe as picky eater that enjoys flavor. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing! I everything from the appetizers to the naan to the curry had perfect flavor in every bite. I am traveling though but if I ever come to Sioux Falls again I am coming here. The service and atmosphere was also wonderful.

It was really good for my first Indian food experience (since I don’t have anything to compare to). We were a big party - around 10 - and they didn’t mess up any orders, food arrived fast, drinks were cold, very good customer experience.

If you like Indian food, this is the place to go! Atmosphere was perfect, service was incredible, and food was spectacular. I got the butter chicken and my husband got curry, both delicious and huge portions we left full and happy! The mild-medium spice level was perfect for me liking just a little bit of spice. Check it out, you won’t regret it!

Excellent authentic Indian cuisine! And I've been to India so i know what I'm talking about! I was here traveling for work-kinda sad it's not my local gem! I had the Shahi feast for one with the Madras entree. Oh Em Gee! So delicious and spicy hot! The portions easily could have fed two people! The naan was bigger than my head. So delicious! This is a must try!

  • 2/5 Kelly L. 1 year ago on Google
I was disappointed In the food delivered to me. The chicken Tikka sauce was almost sour and it certainly did not have the hint of sweetness that I have come to expect. I added little bit of my own sweetener to it. The chicken tandoori had a good taste but was bone dry. Also, there were only a few raw onion slices with it but no green pepper. Overall, very overpriced food and not the Experience I was hoping for.

Great food! The staff was very considerate and accommodating and allowed our friend with dietary restrictions to eat her own home brought food. The wait time was a little on the high end since the restaurant was very busy when we went.

Outstanding! I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food. This is superb. Their “zero” spice level is fine for kids as long as the kid is ok with flavors.

I was here with my daughter 2 years ago and it was excellent. My daughter was upset because I was here without her this time. Again, the food was exemplary, service was great and I enjoyed my late lunch.

Great food but the service was severely lacking. The hostess was sweet when we arrived but for the rest of our meal the servers were rude and standoffish. Our appetizer, soup, and main course came out at the same time. We had to flag down our waitress for refills and a check. I think we were forgotten because they were hosting a big party. All in all, best authentic Indian cuisine around but the service when we visited was horrible.

We stopped at shahi india grill for lunch while traveling. Overall Food was decent taste. We ordered spicy but the food was mild. Also, didn’t find much difference in lunch special portions vs dinner portions though price is 3-4$ difference. We ordered vegetable biryani, tandoori chicken, chicken curry, naan, Chana masala.

  • 5/5 Chrissey W. 7 months ago on Google
We came shortly after they opened so our service was very good. Our waitress was so nice and let us know how to eat some of the food since some of us it was the first time having Indian food. Enjoyed everything we had! I will definitely be going back! Not pictured but enjoyed was the garlic naan.

Indian food suited to American palette. Mango lassi was A bit too sour. Saag paneer was good but chicken Tikka masala was bad. samosas and paneer pakora were good, chicken and fish pakora were flavourless

Nicest and best priced Indian Restaurant I have eaten at. The atmosphere felt like fine dining and not the hole in the wall that I've always experienced at most Indian restaurants (not that I'm personally complaining about that from other places). Also the prices were significantly lower then all other Indian restaurants, so not only was the atmosphere more asthetic but the price was more wallet friendly. Would definitely come again when next in the area.

I ordered the hot chicken curry while my husband got the tikki masala and naan. I have to say, it was all absolutely delicious and incredibly filling. I never review restaurants or businesses but this meal couldn't go without the praise and recognition it deserves. I highly recommend Shahi Palace!

Staying nearby on a cross country road trip and decided to give Shahi Palace a try. Absolutely worth it; fresh ingredients, authentic dishes, real Indian flavors prepared perfectly. Samosas were delicious, and probably one of the best I’ve ever eaten, dal dishes had great flavors, sticky rice perfectly prepared. Wish this Palace was in my home town.

Great little hidden gem, fast friendly service, clean restaurant requires a mask but what places don't these days, and the food is out of this world, it's off the beaten path and worth find behind the Home-depots have had the chicken curry and Masala and it is well worth more than what they charge a lot of food for a little price you won't regret going there
