We
are
visiting
from
Santa
Barbara,
CA,
and
looked
forward
to
some
midwestern
hospitality
on
our
first
night
in
Sioux
Falls.
We
arrived
at
this
restaurant
with
high
hope.
Our
experience,
however,
was
anything
but
hospitality.
First,
we
were
seated
at
a
table
across
from
the
restroom.
It
was
an
awkward
layout.
The
table
itself
looked
cheap,
not
agreeing
with
the
otherwise
quaint
aesthetic
of
the
decor.
We
sat
at
a
little
corner
with
endless
foot
traffic
in
front
of
us.
After
sitting
down,
we
waited
for
about
10
minutes
to
get
acknowledged.
The
server,
when
he
finally
arrived,
had
a
long
face
and
was
unfriendly,
even
to
the
point
of
hostility.
“Did
you
blow
off
the
candle?”
He
“greeted”
us
with
a
tone
of
interrogation.
We
were
not
made
to
feel
welcome.
His
lack
of
manners
was
palpable.
I
have
to
say
that
we
liked
our
appetizer,
which
was
a
dish
of
heirloom
tomato
and
Italian
cheese.
The
wait
between
the
appetizer
and
our
entrees
was
lengthy.
When
my
main
course
arrived,
I
was
shocked;
let’s
call
my
dish
“duck
drowning
in
a
pond,”
because,
as
you
can
see
from
my
photo,
my
duck
breast
dish
was
soaked
in
soup…
It
was
aesthetically
unpleasing
and
flavorless.
As
a
lover
of
fine
dining,
I
found
this
dish,
and
essentially
our
whole
dinning
experience,
an
utter
disappointment.
I
don’t
know
how
representative
our
experience
is
but
I
would
like
to
share
it
here
for
whatever
it’s
worth.
Nevertheless
I
still
wish
this
restaurant
the
best
of
luck
(and
duck)!
