    I have finally been able to come to terms with the experience that I had at Applebee’s about five years ago. I haven’t been to an Applebee’s since this experience unfortunately, for them. I went there for a birthday celebration for a friend but unfortunately, the sentiment of the evening was not celebratory due to poor service. Our table was at least 10 guests and our server thought it was a good idea to place the order via memory instead of via notebook. We were complicated orders, and that was not the time to be practicing flashcards. Lol. Who would’ve guessed that my meal would’ve been incorrect? Even though mine was probably the simplest order out there — literally a steak with broccoli and a baked potato. She gave me the wrong side and when I alerted her of the issue she took my entire plate back. It came back with the correct side but unfortunately the kitchen staff decided to re-cook my steak, so what was once a medium steak was now an extra well done steak. Which I hate! Yeah Applebee’s, I invite you to attempt to make amends with this experience as I am excited to see what you’ve been coming up with in recent years and whether you are able to earn this customer back.

    Had a great happy hour here. Food was consistent with the Applebees brand. Our bartender Tiffany was great, we never went without a cold beverage or her checking in to see if we needed anything else. Drinks were fantastic! They have a dollar margarita special right now. Would definitely come back. Glad it was in the mall and easy access.

    Just avoid this place. The service is bad. The food is bad. Everything about this place is bad. Our drinks sat on the bar for 10 mins before being brought to our table. Then we get wonton tacos and they forget the Cilantro. Then the food comes lol. The whiskey bacon burger is missing the whiskey sauce when it gets there. The mac and cheese with tenders on it has no mac sauce. Just plain noodles with tenders on it. Burbon street chicken and shrimp had 2 mushroom and a couple onions and was cut into with a chunk missing already. Then to top it off we had to take our check to the bar to cash out as our sever just never came back to get the bill paid. We have been to many applebees and my wife managed one at one point. This is by far the worst one.

    I ordered the 3 cheese Mac and cheese and got some plain pasta with slimy chicken stripes on it! The did make it right but the waitress was rude about it and we asked for napkins twice never was offered drink refills! We also sat at our table almost 20 minutes before she came to ask what our drink order was! I been here before and had excellent experience but maybe it was just an off night for them still not sure I’ll go back!

    Our usual waitress Larissa is FANTASTIC!! We love going there when she is working. She is always so helpful, polite, on the ball, and she remembers us and makes suggestions based on the last time we were there! The food is good too. Recommend!

    Our waitress was awesome! Ordered the double cheeseburger with fries. Fries were SO salty and I took 2 bites of the burger and had grease running down my hands and wrists. I don't mind a little grease but that was too much!

    Good service but my steak was that great. The steak I ate in Applebee's in Chicago tasted 100% better. than the steak I ate in Applebee's empire Mall They had no flavor.

    Good morning. My wife and I enjoyed a great lunch at Applebee's restaurant in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. My wife ordered a Chipotle salad, and I enjoyed a Clubhouse Grille sandwich. We both agreed the meals were delicious. Our service was prompt and friendly. It is a great place to eat.

    I never have given such a bad review. I wanted to order takeout and when I arrived there were a few people sitting down waiting in line. As a visitor from another country I thought they may have been waiting for a table. I waited at the desk at the entrance and a young woman approached me with a face like thunder and I said I just want to order takeout. I was told to go to the bar and they would sort me out. Went to the bar and waited and waited. A staff member saw me waiting but did not acknowledge me. 2 men sat on the opposite side of the bar and we all waited and waited. Finally a waitress came and went straight to the men. I thought the USA prided itself on service hence why you tip. This was the final straw and I won't be back. I walked out. Get your act together and staff training should be on the agenda for everyone. I also noticed someone had dropped something on the floor maybe a napkin. Waitresses walked past and did not pick it up. Not a good look. If we have the tiniest piece of paper on the floor we pick it up. Doesn't matter if you are a manager or a junior or what your business is. Very disappointing Susie

    Service was slow because 2 of 4 waitresses didn't show so they were very short handed which made the service take 2-3 times as long as usual, but the food was good, gave a full tip because they told us before hand, so we understood and chatted for a while.

    Waitress said all the right stuff, but minimal follow up. I ordered a platter and got a plate, she didn't ask to clarify when I ordered. I chose to no address it. Disappointed.

    Grilled sirloin, garlic mashed potatoes, cheesy broccoli, absolutely the best we have ever tasted. Will definitely be back! I may have found my new favorite restaurant over Outback!!!

    You know when you go to pick up the food that you ordered online and they take a long time bringing it. Well, it did take a bit, but it's because they were short staff. The bartender was nice and professional. Thanks for the celery. The food was hot and delicious. The place looked clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It's probably the best Applebee's I've been to so far.

    Rosa was amazing. Left Chilis after bad service and were sat right away, took our order and made sure to give recommendations that were super helpful. Had family in from Michigan and was were very impressed at her service.

    The alfredo dip was more of a beer cheese than anything else, or it was super expired. We were there for 50 minutes or so and the server came by once. I wasn't expecting a lot from an Applebee's but this was not great. At all.

    I've been here over and over and never been disappointed! The employees have always been friendly and on top of things! I go here whenever I'm in Sioux Falls! The only thing is that it's kind of tucked away, but luckily, I know where to find it!

    My experience at the Applebee’s at the Empire Mall is Sioux Falls started with my party waiting at the door for over 5 minutes before I flagged someone down. The hostess had apparently abandoned her station. When they located the hostess, she begrudgingly walked us to our table. When she asked me if I knew how to use the QR code, I said that I would prefer a menu. She huffed, walked away. A few seconds later, she walked back and threw a menu at me. That was the end of my experience. Plus they didn’t have crayons for their kids menus.

    Pros: food was absolutely delicious! Prices are decent vs proportion. Our server Nicholas was phenomenal. He was polite professional and attentive which is great service. Cons: had a wait time even tho they had plenty of staff and numerous empty tables. If I wanted to listen to the frozen soundtrack I would have stayed home with my niece and sister....

    Awesome food.Service is also Awesome. Clean ,lots of TVs to catch sports on. Very Professional employees. If you're hungry for BBQ their Riblets are so so so good. Give them a try next time you're Hungry. :)

    Ordered a southwest chicken salad. The chicken was like grissle. I don’t know if it wasn’t cooked properly. ?The lettuce was limp or white unappealing. The whole thing was terrible. I have had the same dish at another location and it was good I sent it back and asked for a burger and fries. It took forever to get that— the fries were terrible— the burger was okay, except for the lame lettuce and mushy tomato on it. Just to clarify— I NEVER send food back. It was bad. The lactation is the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls, SD

    Shanda really made our night. We joined Applebee's for our Veteran's Day meal and really appreciate the great service Shanda provided. She made us feel very special, introduced us to her daughter who also works there with her. that says so much about some place when you have family working there too. Great job, thanks for the great meal and service.

    It's alright. Food was decent. Kept pushing to scan the QR code for the menu. Waitress offered physical menus, which was easier to do with. Price was a bit high for what they offer. Should have went to a steak house instead

    When we came in, they took down my name and phone number and told me they would text me when our table was ready. I received a confirmation text and we walked around the mall for twenty minutes until we got the text that our table was available. We ordered off the 2 for $24 menu and ended up with chicken and salmon. The food was fine for the most part but I found the salmon to be very oily which made it harder to eat. The mashed potatoes were excellent. The chips and spinach artichoke dip was good but there was an odd taste to the salsa I couldn't place to a particular flavor.

    Not the best Applebee's experience I've had. Not sure I like the menu being a QR code but it is probably more sanitary and cost effective for the restaurant. Food was okay but I have definitely had better and the service was underwhelming. Also I feel like the prices have gone up substantially but the quality has definitely not. It'll be a while before I go there again.

    Chicken rice bowl recommended by server. Dish was overwhelmed by lime on everything. Usually long wait for food around lunchtime but servers are friendly. Portion sizes are usually inconsistent.

    I've ate inside and I've also picked up to go orders as well. Didn't have the greatest experience inside but was decent. I went and picked up an order for to go and I saw it was ready and was sitting on the bar. I waited for someone so that way I could let them know I was there to pick up my order. No one was at the bar and someone was sweeping near and asked in the most snottiest way "can I help you?" When I said I was there to pick up an order, she said again with a snippy attitude "its right in front of you" I'm not blind and I knew it was in front of me but you dont need to be rude to customers. Most places you have to let them know before you take it, how was I supposed to know. Don't think I'll be going back for a while.

    Sat at the bar for 15 minutes and were never waited on. The employees kept looking at us but no one ever came over. We had a party of 3 and no one seemed to care that we were there. We decided to go elsewhere so we could actually get service.

    Stopped in while my wife and daughter were shopping in the mall. Totally understaffed. Sitting at the bar and waited 5 min for the first drink and even longer for the 2nd. Ordered food and asked for ranch that was supposed to come with the meal. I had 4 waffle fries left when I recieved the "homemade ranch".

    If you have to go to a chain restaurant, this is not bad. Our serve worked hard. The waitstaff is extremely efficient and do a great job. I’m sure the kitchen works their tails off too. The food is what you’d expect for predictable chain food. No complaints. My only complaint is I was very uncomfortable with how the manager (I assume he was the manager) spoke to the people working with him. He was very demeaning to others. It was surprising to see this and made everything weird. But overall, a decent place for a change of pace.

    Food is pretty good. The service can vary quite a bit depending on who's there and what time of day or night. Cool place though. Sitting at the bar and watching a game or having a conversation with someone is the best way to enjoy this location.

    Our food was fine. I can’t have chicken so I asked if I could replace chicken with steak (and I would pay more) but they wouldn’t substitute. Most of their entrees have chicken and I didn’t want a plain steak so I got a small appetizer. I saw another review that they were difficult to deal with about food allergies…this is something they should absolutely improve on.
