Wonderful place with the BEST Mexican food in town! The food is absolutely delicious (try the chicken fajitas!) as well as their margaritas. Every time we’re in town we won’t hesitate to stop by this gem. Excellent service too.

Food is amazing and authentic. Very mom and pop style, I'm pretty sure it's a family that works there. Their service is amazing and attentive.

Quaint place, delicious food, personable service. Music is Latin and kept at a background level. Serves my favorite dish, arroz con pollo. Service animal friendly.

My wife suggested this place. Since this place was her go to date place before we were married, I figured, why not try the food and give it a terrible review, right?? It's a small place, which I love. Decor is nice, gives off the vibe of a family owned restaurant. Immediately upon being seated, our waiter greeted us with chips and salsa. He was very friendly. The salsa was very good. Very spicy, which I love. We ordered Margaritas and 2 lunch specials. Food came out pretty quickly. Everything looked decent. My wife's dish was good. Chicken was slightly dry and under seasoned but overall was good. My shrimp was also slightly over cooked and underseasoned but delicious overall. My Margarita was huge and good. While I feel the food was a 3 out of 5 stars, the service, atmosphere and prices made the overall experience a 4 out for 5. With a tip, our 2 meals and a huge drink was only $40. When I'm in the area or out on a date without the wife, I'll be back!!

My best friend, my kid and I had Puerto Vallarta on 3/12/2023 and it was the best Mexican food we had in Sioux Falls. My friend had a bowl, my kid and I had burritos. The burritos are huge, the portions are a lot for the price. The food is high quality and you can taste the love they put into their business.

Puerto Villarta has been my favorite restaurant for years! I have tried a wide variety of dishes there and never once been disappointed. This is a family run restaurant with incredible service and great staff.

My wife really wanted to going to this Mexican restaurant as it’s on the side of town we normally go to the grocery store unfortunately the chips were hard and stale and very greasy you can see in the photos also the beans were incredibly runny refried beans should not be that runny. My wife ordered a plate with steak sliced steak and it was incredibly tough and overcooked. This is the first and last time we will ever come to this restaurant the glass they brought me for my beer had lipstick on it as well.

We are from Texas so maybe expectations too high. Food was just ok. Nothing had much spice except the salsa. Chips were the best thing in the meal. Crisp, thick and warm. Fajitas had very little chicken with no spice. Hubby had beef enchiladas and said they were tasteless. Service was on target and friendly!!

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food and atmosphere, look no further. Only thing missing would be the Mariachis. Amazing food made with fresh ingredients make you feel as though you were vacationing in the heart of Mexico. Highly recommend for the whole family, especially if you want to introduce your kids and family to the cuisine without breaking the wallet!!

Love this place, very authentic. Food's always great and the manager always stops by my table to see how everything is. Very friendly staff.

This was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had in Sioux fall or at any restaurant! We walked in at 9pm well aware that the closing time was at 10pm on a Friday night. It was me and my friend and my 1 year old daughter. We were sat with menus and left there for 5 min. The server came back and asked us to order because they would be closing at 9:30. I ordered a margarita which was the weakest margarita I have ever had. I ordered an entree that was supposed to come with beans so I could share with my daughter. Only to be told it doesn’t. It doesn’t say it but I guess it was written in invisible ink. The queso lacked any flavor. The server never came to check in after that. I had to get up and ask for the checks. We simply handed her 2 cards and asked her to split it down the middle. Apparently that is a request that they can’t do. I will NEVER BE BACK! I have been in the rest industry for 10+ years and this is no way to treat a guest. Don’t waste your time here!!!

We have great food here every time we go. We also have our favorites which we order again and again and they never vary. Great little restaurant.

Food is amazing but I was very disappointed. I ordered a large order for my daughter's party and called the order in the day before. I gave a time for pickup and even called before getting there. The food wasn't ready and I waited for almost 30 minutes for the restaurant to "figure out a price". I felt that they were not prepared and it caused me to be late to my own party. Quality of food is amazing but due to their lack of preparedness and inability to price (which I felt was extremely high) , I rated it the way I did.

We were having trouble finding a restaurant that was open late on Memorial Day, but discovered Puerto Vallarta. We are so glad we stopped. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. Thanks for spending your holiday to serve us your great food.

Amazing restaurant! Wonderful service and delicious food! I’ve been to there several times and every time the food is amazing and the service is so great! Everyone is very friendly and the food comes almost immediately. Wide variety on their menu and everything I’ve tried is great!

I was so excited to go here, it looked like a lot of the lil hole in the wall spots in Denver. Ya know, the ones that make the best Mexican food! Anyway. Very disappointed. The food was very small portioned, bland, and frankly, just too much! I mean, C mon it's beans and rice! I don't think they're easy any pork in the green chili? Anyway. I'm all about small business! So if these guys wanna make it, they should step it up!

Very tasty and nice people I've read some of the 1 star ratings and i can tell they re just Karen's some complain about the 3.25 card charge because they didn't know but it says it up front.

The food was interesting… I was disappointed actually because it was lacking in meat in my he meals. The chips seemed stale or maybe they are just the kind that taste that way. I would like to come back and try something different and maybe I would be happy with my meal. Would I recommend? Yes if you’re wanting friendly & interesting food that may be different than Mexican you had in other states. 👍

No wait, great food! Booths have enough room for bigger folks, although the cushions need replacing. The surprise item here were the fries. Looked fresh cut and fried on site. Very tasty!!! Service was excellent. Food came out quickly.

I can’t say enough good things about this hidden gem! The ambience is amazing. The food is authentic in my opinion with good portions and one of the best places to get Mexican food that feels like home. The staff is so kind and welcomes you with open arms and they all are very attentive. Affordable and many options to chose from.

My first experience here. The A/C must have been out, as fans tried to keep the restaurant cool. It was cooler outside in the 96 degree heat than inside! The food was good but the atmosphere was bad. People were walking out. Maybe in the heat, offer free beverages and at least bring iced water to the tables.
