I love how peaceful this place is. So grateful for little nuggets like this close to Sioux Falls. The outermost paved trail is approximately 1.4 miles roundtrip.

Very pretty here! This is an easy Walk/hike with kids. There are A lot of Grasshopers, they are loud and On the Pathway while you are walking. They have benches Throughout your path to take a break. To find the Barn follow th Sign once you enter, it will take you through a long road.

Probably my favorite family park in siouxfalls sd. It has a small pond at the entrance along with a few more that are alot! Larger as you fallow the trails. No fishing, or dogs allowed. Pic nic area at the entrance

Very nice place to take a walk. Took an 8 year update picture of my kids sitting on the same bench with exact pose. Was great fun. Well, visit again soon.

Would be nice if they had No Fishing posted somewhere online, so people don't drive all the way out here and not be able to fish. I took a pic of the sign at the entrance fir everyone.

    Great

Paved walking trails, plenty of shade and sunshine. There is an unpaved hiking trail that goes off into the trees that is really cool. We saw ducks and geese in the quarries, and a huge bull snake. Cool park!

Nice place to sit and watch the ducks and geese. Too bad people constantly bring bread to feed them when the signs clearly prohibit anything besides field corn.

Beautiful park, plenty of scenic locations, well-maintained rest area

One of the best parks in this area!

I buy corn on the cob at Walmart to come here and feed the geese and Ducks because that's what they want you to feed them instead of bread. I'm 64 years old and I never get tired of watching the geese and ducks fight over the corn sometime

Fun park for walking. A little change of pace with spots to feed the fowl and fish. Kind of a tall grass prairie surround by trees and ponds with quartz cliffs with asphalt trails.

This place was a Hidden gym that I have not had a chance to visit in the 15 years that I have lived here. I went and checked it out and what a beautiful scenery it is to watch the ducks and geese. There are nice walking trails and there are even nice bathrooms near the top of the trail at the front entrance at the back entrance they have Porta potty’s. I can tell that a lot of time and effort goes into maintaining this place as the past were nice and clear and a lot of rock work has been done. If you have not had a chance to go here please do it really is a hidden treasure of Sioux Falls.

Well its a nice park for a evening walk but the areas where goose are there is dirty and messy. If you take the trail on back it's cleaner and better with a nice loop

    So pretty all year round

So disappointing that this is how this great park is treated. Folks still continue to bring their dogs here even with signs and pictures in both park entrances stating "No Pets Allowed. "

Very beautiful place to take kids to enjoy fish and geese and ducks

Fun spot to relax and take in the beauty of nature all around this Park. Enjoyed watching the ducks and geese swimming around the natural spring lake. Some families were getting formal Autumn pictures taken around the park with the golden color of trees lined up as a backdrop for the portraits! I recommend visiting there anytime you want to treat yourself with a Time of JOY! You won't regret it@

One of my favorite places in the area to get out into nature. Beautiful venue for pictures.

Arrowhead is a well maintained park with a combination of both paved and dirt walking trails. A lot of the trails are prairie trails, but some of the dirt trails go through a forested area. There are some ponds here as well where you will often find ducks. Can be a great place for photo shoots.

This park has a lot of great memories to it! When I first moved to Sioux Falls in 2019 my family and I would walk this park, have picnics and just enjoy the outdoors. They keep up on the maintenance and the restrooms are clean.

This is a beautiful little park just outside of the city. There’s great walking trails that are paved, fairly level, and non-strenuous. They are clearly marked with length also so you can plan your walk. There’s a couple of primitive trails that go into the ravine also, great if you want a little more variety. Even these off-road trails are clearly marked and not particularly challenging. There’s a pond and a quarry, both are home to large flocks of mallard ducks, Canadian geese, and huge Greylag geese. They will happily eat whatever you offer, so make sure to read the signs and ONLY offer them approved nutritious food. No crackers or bread! There’s plenty of parking, a porta-potty on site, a couple of picnic tables, and some benches throughout the trails for a rest. Keep in mind, the park closes at sundown and there is NO lighting on the trails. It can be quite confusing to find your way back to the parking lot in the dark, so plan your walk to end before sunset. You’ll also want to watch your feet- goose poop is abundant on the trails.

Lots of birds and some nice views of the pond with rock banks.

This park has a couple of interesting spots tucked away. One is a nice rock cliff that is quite high for a small park. Just past that spot and over a little hump in the trail is a little out-cove surrounded by cliffs, with a patch of grass below. Very nice.

Nice park, very picturesque. Great for walking and winter hiking, but summer would be a bit too easy if you're trying to do something outdoorsy.

This is a wonderful park for getting out in nature. There are nice paved walking paths that go past several ponds where there are usually geese and ducks. There's also some unpaved paths to explore as well. Picnic areas and restrooms are located by the 1880s barn. It's a great place to spend an afternoon!

I enjoy nature very much. My husband and I like to feed corn to the geese and ducks and try to identify them. I take pictures and videos to share with my friends on social media. This is a nice park. The only negatives, over which there is no control, are people who openly let their children use the ground as a urinal when the porta potties are locked; the people who keep trying to feed the birds bread, popcorn, and crackers; and, the parents and grandparents who don't exercise better authority over children who throw gravel into the water and at the birds and/or chase the birds. BTW, the porta potty was clean the other day, but the sanitizer dispenser was nasty. I don't know what was splashed and speckled all over it, but it was gross.

Best park in Sioux Falls! I took the kiddos there today to enjoy each other and God's creation. We spent a decent amount of time feeding corn to the ducks and geese. My kids loved it! Very peaceful place to relax in nature. I will most definitely go back....frequently.
