Heading from Canada down to Texas, we only stayed at Tower for one night but were extremely happy with our stay. Tower RV park is very well maintained, even the public washrooms were spotless and had toilet paper! Anyone who spends time on the road knows this is rare. The main campground has lovely big trees and lots of singing birds in the morning. Love that. Customer service and communication were top notch. Looking forward to our return

Stayed at this campground on the last night of vacation. My husband booked it. Had good ratings. Good there on Saturday afternoon at 4;30 pm the office was close. Didn't have any info on what site was ours so we picked a site. My husband even tried calling the office workers no one answer or even returned his call. We met a couple that was camping there they gave us the code to the bathroom/showers. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't of been able to get into the restroom.

Make sure you do your research on this one! The pull throughs are on asphalt, basically in a parking lot, no picnic table or really any place to sit outside. Full hook up, fine for a stop over for one night. There must be an airport very close by. Edit…I upped my stars to 4 after the owners response. They are absolutely correct, I guess after a long, HOT, windy drive across Minnesota, we were just a little disappointed with our spot. The rest of the park was shady, clean, bathroom was spotless. Some folks like being on asphalt, no dirt, just make sure to request a shady spot if that’s what you’re looking for.

STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! Worst management ever. I gave them my banking details twice and they lost them and I called cops several times because they keep charging my credit card and just today they charged my bank account twice again. Besides this they will send you wrong information every time and ask you to evacuate instead of sending it to the right apartment. This new management is the worst they increase the rent and remove the utilities from the rent and Brenda the new Manager is the worst ever. I waste a lot of time because of her. I need to go back every time to fix things because of her and today she charged me the rent twice and I am scared now because she has my bank information and I can expect anything from her. I hate giving bad feedbacks but I’m sure this will help honest people like me!

Wonderful place to go too. Office staff are very friendly and helpful. Do understand that the pull thrus are just a parking lot. This is why you do your research before assuming :) I know theirs a lot of people that will complain about it but that’s on them. Look up some information before you have a poor mindset on the place

Welcome to Sioux Falls, SD. And, by the way, there really IS a falls and you should see it while you’re here - along with a long list of other stops. Even though we live here in Sioux Falls, Tower is one of our favorite overnights. We typically schedule a night or 2 here either before or after a motorhome trip. It’s just 4-miles from our home and allows us to loan and unload plus dump and refresh our water supply before our next trip. Access is convenient - near I-29 on 12th street, which is your main access road to downtown and Falls Park. Management is friendly, it’s clean, and well maintained. Check in early so you can visit our great restaurants, shopping or other attractions - or, stay and extra night. You’ll love Sioux Falls.

We just checked in to Tower Campground in Sioux Falls, SD and our pull through site is a parking lot. We have no picnic table or any room on either side of us to put out our chairs. The three sites have trees, grass, picnic tables and a lot of room. We are less than 2 feet from our neighbor on our door side and less than a foot on our other side. We can't pull in all the way or all of our slides would touch the other RV's. The girl in the office said there were no other spots available. She could refund our money and gave us phone numbers to 3 other camp grounds. 2 of the 3 have no openings & the 3rd one was a fax number. I wish I could add my photos. Responding to the owner This is the site detail you sent me. 1. Camping - (#000013870) - Site #035 Jul 10 2020 - Jul 13 2020 (3 Days) Date: 'Feb 17 2020 10:12:57' - Clerk ID: MM Pull-Thru Sites 6-37 & 111/112 (1@$150.00) I did look at your map and it doesn't tell me that the pull through sites aren't spacious or should only be used for 1 or 2 days or we wouldn't have a picnic table. We had to pull backward because the width is so narrow we would have hit the neighbors slides and would have blocked their door going into their rig. Why would I have call ahead to switch our site if I don't know what I'm getting to begin with? We don't appreciate you responding with excuses.

When I called I was told it was under new management. That always worries me if I’ve had a good experience in the past. It turned out to be just the same Great Park. They went the extra mile to make my trip possible and get me in with my last-minute notice. The sites are nice and wide and easy to pull into. of course there’s going to be some road noise, but I travel full-time so that’s to be expected almost everywhere. I couldn’t be happier with my experience, and I thank them for accommodating me and even going the extra mile to make my trip better.

At one time we owned an rv and lived at Tower Campground. A young man named Shawn (?) was the manager and shouldn't have been. He was NOT customer friendly. It was literally his way or the highway. From what I understand, the management and the situation have improved greatly. The back section, or what used to be the "winter camping" is beautiful. Tall pine trees, spacious campsites, quiet at night. Back when we lived the RV, the monthly rate was around 500.00 a month, which was reasonable. I've heard these have gone upto 750.00 a month, which is not so reasonable. Basic cable, a monthly allowance for electricity (if you go over, you pay dearly), reasonable showers. That's about it.

Very helpful and accommodating service. Clean campground with large shaded spaces. Noises on the east side from the highway. Also planes flying over at various times.

Great campground. Blacktop roads and spaces, easy to level your rig and parking space for 1 vehicle. Spaces are easy to find and well marked. Lots of tall trees to help block the sounds of the surrounding city. .... *Look for directions to this park on the Tower Campground website, there is a median on the road in front of the entrance to the park Google maps will want you to make a U-turn with your RV. Great place to camp, would definitely return here

Prepaid same-day reservation, but arrived to find another RV was booked in the same spot. Office was closed and no one answered the posted phone number. We are back on the road looking for another site. Hopefully I'll get a refund. Such a pain.

Check in was easy. Camp sites were clean and spacious. Bathroom, shower, and laundry facilities were clean and well stocked all the time, even when careless people made terrible messes, the campground was on top of it. People in the office are very friendly and eager to help make your stay nicer. I am grateful for the campground being open year round with hookups available. I would absolutely recommend staying here. Campground is located right next to the freeway with easy access to both on/off ramps. Very happy with my stay and experience at this campground.

We are traveling across South and North Dakota and Sioux Falls was the first two day stop. We picked Tower as their past reviews seemed positive and in many respects we can easily agree with ALL the 5 star past reviews. Public areas (restrooms, showers and laundry) were very clean and functional. Generally the area is very clean with very good areas to dispose of paper waste. There is limited places to exercise our dog ( no dedicated area) except on a leash. It also is pretty loud as there is a National Guard air group in town and their fly-overs are loud. But the whole town is effected by that issue. Overall this is a very nice place for a limited local stay.

Like others have said, yes there is some noise from the traffic but that is not the campground's fault. (This isn't up in the mountains or in the middle of a forest. Whaddaya expect?) The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is clean. There are two dog areas (one for large and one for small), a playground, clean bathrooms with nice showers. Many sites have fire pits and the office has fire wood for sale. We had four bars (AT&T). The campground has internet, but it wasn't as strong as our hotspot. Mostly it's very close to the Falls, which is what we wanted to see. Our stay was very comfortable and we will go there again if we are ever in Sioux Falls.

Loved our stay here. We had a last minute pivot and Tower Campground was able to get us in for the time we needed over the holiday weekend. The south campground is certainly the place to be. We stayed in 324, it was unclear we would have someone behind us (back in, but you back in to a site with a neighbor sharing the same concrete site. Just something to be aware of!). The south campgrounds has grass and shade, the front campground is the parking lot other reviews reference. The sites were super level, immaculate tmobile home internet speeds (300/100+), lots of shade from all the trees. We’d absolutely stay here again.

$60 for a parking lot. Don’t overnight here. Place looks and feels unsafe. Long term areas look nice, don’t see how they charge the same for inferior sites. Asked manager if I could take off early and due to the policy you are unable to make changes or get a refund. I did read the policy, was hoping we could do something. Not able to discount the site or anything. Skip this place my friends, for overnight or a few days stay you will be disappointed. Been all over the country and this is one of the largest rip offs I’ve had. To make it even better, airplanes are right over head and the highway noise is loud. Probably a $30 site. No pool or amenities, you are paying for just full hookups with spotty WiFi in a parking lot. Check out the Vid. Just keep driving!!

Good quiet spot, especially for being in a bigger town. Plenty of shade and the lower part or the park helps with the wind. Can fit 2 pickups depending on how close to the road you drop your trailer. A bit on the pricey side, but overal, it's a good spot for a getaway or traveling for work.

Im currently staying here till the middle of September and the campground is gorgeous. They placed me in the permanent section so I wouldn’t have people moving in or out around me and so it was quiet. It’s quiet except the occasional airplane overhead. I will definitely be back if work brings me here again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Came last summer and the park was great, no issues aside from some road noise. Everyone in the office was really nice, a younger guy and a female working were really helpful and I got great recommendations about the bike trail in Sioux Falls. Management must have changed because everyone I met seems to be gone and this place has gone down the drain. No one in the office EVER, no phone number to call, if you do happen to reach anyone- good luck they are super rude for no reason. Random people walking through the park at all hours, tons of noise from other campers/their kids. A complete free for all and no one seems to care about the security of campers, and definitely not the comfort or enjoyment of the stay that we paid for.

Made reservations here. Had some miscommunication but the staff has worked to overcome it. The park, to include the sites in the paved area, looks very nice. My wife is actually excited about the site we're moving into. We're looking forward to it. There's road noise and airport noise throughout Sioux Falls. It's a city growing out past the planned area from decades ago. It's clean and friendly. I'll followup after our stay.

Nice sites in the south campgrounds. Wifi is very good which is important to me. All the roads and sites are paved and the sites are level. They did a good job of improving this place from years ago when we were here. The only downside is that it is close to the interstate and the airport so expect some noise. That stated we will be here for a bit over a month and will not hesitate to come back again. If not for the location this would be a 5 star place.

Nice campground I was a little worried about the reviews prior to pulling in But I was pleasantly surprised. That's when you're outside you can hear the highway traffic and the trailer park traffic that's Is alongside the campground Is alongside the campground However when you go in the camper all of that is drowned out I would definitely stay here again. They also have a nice dog park.

  • 3/5 Debbie D. 4 years ago on Google
We've stayed here many times before, we were in the last row by the highway...very dissapointed with the noise, gravel spot and lots of dog remains behind our camper. Kids riding bikes behind our lot, camper (not on road) It did not seem as loud a few rows over. Convenient for getting on the hwy. A little inconvenient getting into park coming off hwy as you have to drive around the block to go back to the entrance but not real bad. We will stay here again. Pet friendly. Office staff also said they were there until 5 and kind of rushed us out the door around 4:30ish.

  • 3/5 James F. 1 year ago on Google
I made the reservation about an hour out, around 4:30 in the afternoon. I was told that I would be going into site ten and that the office closed at 5 and my check in materials would be posted on the board outside the office. When I arrived about 5:30 I checked the board and found that my reservation was not there with the five that were there. I walked around until I found site ten and went ahead and set up for the night. The site had absolutely nothing at it such as a table, fire pit, etc. It was also very close to the next site over. As far as I could tell there were very limited facilities at this campground. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

Not that great, right next to the highway. And apparently the airport is not to far away, jets taking off are low enough to wave to the pilots. Not recommended.

  • 3/5 Angie C. 4 years ago on Google
West side is very noisy and feels like camping in a parking lot. A few sites have grass between them and very small pine trees. South side has grass and trees like picture on website. The West side is on Hwy 12, traffic all the time and has street lights. (trucks, motorcycles, airplanes, bus stop directly behind site) NOISE constantly!! Park and restrooms very clean.

We made reservations for 1 night and 2 spots. Called 3 days in advance to cancel reservations and NO refund. Please be aware that they will not honor cancellation refunds. I will not be staying here in the future. After the reply I received, I do not recommend reserving here. You can’t tell me that this campground cannot give any sort of a refund. They CAN but choose not to. I advise anyone wanting to cancel a night not to tell them. That way they can’t double dip.

Excellent for a night or two stayas well as long trem parking. Clean well maintained restrooms snd laundry facilities. In the long term part of the park there's grass trees fire rings picknick tables very clean snd well maintained. In the area for short trem or over night parking it is level blacktop. Pleat of room for manovering. Easy pull in and out. Plenty of room for your slides and comfort. Pet friendly.

Not sure how I didn't realize this when booking but the CG is right smack in the middle of town off a busy road and highway! But that said the road noise didn't really bother us. The transient pull through sites are at the front of the CG and staked out in the sun. But they were paved and level, though our "lawn" was very small with no picnic table or fire ring. FHU with no issues. The rest of the CG was covered in trees and looked nice. T-mobile cell and router had amazing speeds here. Note that GPS might try to route you in such a way that you have to make a sharp u-turn to get into the CG because of median. Check the CG website and use those directions. The staff was less than friendly at check-in. There were five folks just sitting around staring at me when I walked in, looking at me like I was intruding on them. Bottom line: this was a good location as a base of operations for getting around Sioux Falls, but if I knew I was going to be in the transient sites rather than the tree-filled main CG, I would not stay here again.

We enjoyed this campground very much. Small and clean. A little noise from the nearby highway and the flyovers can be loud from the nearby national air guard group. In no way a huge deal, though. Staff in the office were extremely nice. Laundry facilities were very clean and the prices reasonable. It seemed like everything you could possibly want to go to in town was a maximum of 15 minutes away. Site was very level and had enough shade to cool things off, but not completely covered in trees. Highly recommend this park.

Stay for two nights. We were β€œthose people”. Changed our plans mid stay. They were very helpful and friendly and were able to accommodate us. Campground is a bit confusing to get to off of the interstate, but we made it w/o difficulty. Very clean w large open sights. Close to Interstste. Reasonable price I will stay again here if in the area!

It's a little hard to get into the park from I-29. You need to go pass the park on 12th St. To the next intersection. You will to turn left at the next street and turn left again at the next street. Drive on that street which turns in a parking lot. Go to the next street turn left and then turn right on 12th Street then turn right into their lot. This all occurs in less than a city block. Staff friendly and helpful with check in. I would stay there again.

We were only at Tower 2 nights so were near the front of the park. Lots of noise. Lots of traffic passing in and out of the park at fast speeds. Had an empty site next to us most of the day and everyone used it as a short cut on foot, bikes, and cars. Even had a RV pass thru the site! I was afraid to sit out or have my dog out. Facilities were nice but we won't be back.

If you need a place to stay in your RV in the winter months in Sioux Falls, unfortunately this is your only choice. And they take advantage of that. The last time we were there (Nov of 16) I had never been treated as rudely as I was treated by this man working there. I would/will never give them my business if I had/have a choice. We thought we had no other options for this 5 day stay so hubby called and the rates are ridiculously high. 49.50 for a pull thru and 46 something I believe for a back in. Almost 50 bucks a night to listen to an extremely noisy interstate! No thanks. Luckily we were able to get into the only other park open right now. 2 years later nothing has changed. Reserved a spot on a Saturday knowing office would be closed that night when we arrived. We were told there would be info waiting for us and there wasn't. The site that they assigned to us did not work for our rig and no after hours person or number to get a hold of anyone. We just pulled into an empty site hoping no one reserved it. Have to wait until Monday to see if we will need to move again. Ridiculous. Like I said if we had another option, we wouldn't stay here.

It was a good campground. It did not feel like the middle of town to us when were were there. Also I forgot my surge protector there and I called and the management were willing to check to see if it was at my site and helped me tremendously by helping mail it to my home. I will certainly stay again if I am driving through.

I went and asked them if they were taking it down before they went to bed. Im sorry if I offended them. But I didnt want it blowing on our camper during the night.
