Every year Sri Pyditalli goddess festival will happen in the month of October. Goddes "Pydimamba" is very powerful and called as "Uttaraandhra Velukolpu". Every year after Dussera Sri Pydimamba Sirimanu utsav will happen. This is the biggest festival in Vizianagaram district. There are 2 temples are for Sri Pydimamba. 1 is located at opposite to Railway Station. It is called Mother's house of the goddess and the main temple is located at 3 lamps junction.it is called as in law's house.

The temple is likely situated near the west side of peddha cheruvu in vizinagaram town, vizinagaram district. This temple is mostly likely to be called a sister's place. Where the sister of an king Sri Sri Vijaya Rama Raju's empire will be treated as a goddess over there. That's the most beautiful culture of the people of vizinagaram. In the month of September and October most of the people visit the vizinagaram town to celebrate sirimanuthsavam festival occasion on the next Tuesday after the dussehra festival, for goddess Sri Sri Sri Pydithalli ammavaru.

Pydithalli Ammavari CADHUNU gudi (temple) located nearby three lamps (Moodu lantharlu), Ganta sthambam, kota (Vizianagaram fort), Gurajada vari house and Bonkuladhibba . Bokkuladhibba is opp.kota,(Gurajada vari Kanya sulkam playlet main place.),ok. Original (main) pydithalli Ammavari temple is located near by railway station.which is fully forest trees (vanalu),in olden days. that is the reason the main temple called VANAM gudi. Most of the people, mainly young generation not knowing the facts and they confues two temples of Pydithalli. For the last decade, all the uthara Andhra people are emotionally connected to pydithalli Amma and celebrate SIRIMANU Uthave every year.ok,. Chadunu Gudi temple is very small place and neary by shops, houses, other buildings are fully covered and beyond the temple heights and some of their both rooms and toilets are near all most attached to the temple wall. It's most unfortunate ,. No one is pointed out the same including political leaders.ok,. Most of unknown facts are there ,I will disclose later. ....

The goddess worshipped at this temple holds immense power and significance, making it one of the must-visit places in Vizianagaram. Every year, the festival is celebrated with grandeur and fervor, captivating all who participate. The highlight of the festivities is the majestic "sirimanu," a divine chariot that takes center stage during the Sirimanotsavam celebration. This spectacle is a special attraction, drawing devotees and visitors from far and wide to witness the grandeur and experience the divine aura of the event.

This temple is best example for vizianagaram gajapathi kings history. Pyditallamma is sister of gajapathi kings. This temple is memory of bobbili war.

After a long time (living elsewhere) I visited this temple and really felt blessed after having darshan of Pydithalli Amma. Temple authorities need to keep both entrance & exit neat and tidy. Don't know the reason why they are using the single "Q" line both to enter & exit for the darshan. I visited in the afternoon, on a weekday and there are very few devotees in the Q line but the Devasthanam staff member forced devotees to move forward. This needs to be corrected by the E. O.

Parking area also provided that is good. On road you can see God. Just on main road. Identifying the temple is too easy. All worship things are available.

  • 3/5 Bala M. 3 years ago on Google
Parking might be a huge problem on auspicious days. A very sacred and worshipped place.. so they say. Very small temple but the crowd is well managed by staff. Take necessary precautions ... bring your own sanitizers.
