Outstanding for hiking. Don't go if you have a heart problem. Try to take free clothes and you must take a water bottle before you start hiking. You will love the experience.

Such a peaceful place. Although the 2 hours or more hike might be exhausting, the peacefulness and scenic view will be worth it. I would recommend not to carry water or drinks, because there are many small shops where you can buy them. Also don't forget to rent a stick before the hike.

Without any prior planning, four bachelors decided to step out of the house. Our aim was to escape the hustle and bustle of Dhaka city and find solace in the serenity of nature, seeking mental peace and happiness. We bought tickets from Dhaka's Sayedabad Bus Terminal and boarded the bus around midnight. By 3:30 AM, we arrived at Sitakunda Bazar. After finishing breakfast by 7 AM, we set out for hill trekking. Taking a CNG auto-rickshaw from Sitakunda Bazar, we reached the base of the hill, which cost us 150 BDT per ride. At 8 AM, we began our trek, and it took us around an hour and a half to reach Chandranath Temple by 9:30 AM. For those with respiratory issues, high blood pressure, or physical limitations, it’s better to avoid this adventure. However, if you seek adventure, nature, mountains, and a challenge, set out today—you’ll find it all here!

Do not rush to reach Sitakunda Chandranath Temple and carry enough water. While coming down from Chandranath Temple, drink juice and eat fruits from a place called Battala or also known as CNG stand. It is available here at a cheap price.

Chandranath Hill in Sitakunda is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and spiritual seekers. The hill offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape and provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Temple Trail is a highlight of the visit, leading you through lush greenery to the ancient Chandranath Temple at the summit. The trail is moderately challenging, taking around 2 hours to reach the top, depending on your pace and fitness level. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the path can be steep and demanding in some sections. The temple itself is a significant pilgrimage site, attracting devotees from all over the region. Along the way, you'll encounter several smaller shrines and scenic spots perfect for taking a break and enjoying the natural beauty. It's advisable to start your hike early in the morning to avoid the midday heat and to have ample time to explore the area. Facilities at the base of the hill are limited, so it's a good idea to bring snacks and any other essentials you might need. The site could benefit from better maintenance and clearer signage, but these minor drawbacks don't detract from the overall experience. In summary, Chandranath Hill and the Temple Trail offer a rewarding adventure with a blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Whether you're looking for a challenging hike or a peaceful retreat, this spot in Sitakunda is definitely worth a visit.
