Amazing, family run cafe in the heart of Woolton. It’s all vegan - but don’t let that put you off if you’re not, it’s not preachy, it’s welcoming and the food is incredible whatever your dietary preferences. The staff are very accommodating and friendly and the cakes! The cakes are incredible. Wouldn’t be able to tell they were vegan. With flavours like cookie dough, salted caramel and plenty others, they’re the best. Usually have to get it to take away because the portions are very generous. I’d one hundred percent recommend the ‘ Big Breakfast ‘ but anything on the menu is yummy!

One of the best vegan breakfasts I've ever eaten, I got the big vegan breakfast for £8.95 and it was worth every single penny!

Visited the old hardware shop yesterday for lunch and WOW was I impressed. I'm vegetarian and have had some disastrous meals at vegan restaurants due to poor quality meat substitutes and soya based products which I hate the taste of. The quality of this food was absolutely fantastic, and at a very reasonable price for Woolton village. The staff member who served us was lovely and the overall cleanliness of the place was spot on. Loved the counter with the extra products available to buy. My only suggestion is maybe fries with the meals instead of crisps would be nicer ☺

Love it here my favourite vegan cafe in liverpool, fab menu with lots to choose from, cakes are amazing and they now sell the mix to take home and bake your own. Lots of sweets and goodies. It's become quite popular with most seats reserved for the afternoon, we go early with no probs, there's a small seating area upstairs also. 100%

Super little place with lots of lovely quirky touches and fantastic large Vegetarian/Vegan menu.Breakfasts are delish and cakes to die for! Check website for opening days before visiting. Good for- singles,couples,small groups,families and well behaved dogs! Staff are very welcoming.

Tiny place with a cozy atmosphere and great, colorful design offers a great variety of fully-vegan cuisine. I recommend to try the "cheeseburger", it was remarkable! Hummus was tasty, but, I think, you should take something less common in such place. Take into account, cash only!

Delicious home made food! Staff is super friendly and the vibe of the cafe is quirky and amazing. Plates are usually massive so I’d say prices are even low for what you get!

I've been coming here for years and the food is consistently great. Cakes get better and better !! Friendly, dogs are welcome, 100% vegan and wonderful staff. Nothing negative 💚 2yrs later....another review. Bought Halloween treats.....delicious box of various cakes. Inventive, yummy!

Unbelievable value for money!!! So lucky to have this place on our doorstep. Honest food, boss staff, cute café. We had the breakfast toastie and the scrambled tofu, great to see the place full and will of course be returning. A firm favourite 👌

Visited The Old Hardware Shop today and it was such a lovely experience. The cafe itself had a nice relaxed vibe and we were lucky to get a seat. The food was very tasty and was served in generous portions. I would especially recommend the cakes they have (we had a cheesecake) and the hot lotus drink. As someone with dietary requirements it was so nice to be able to order anything I wanted from the menu. Would definitely come again!

Cosy, welcoming and charming are words I'd use to sum this quirky little hideaway in the middle of Woolton village offering a wide selection of vegan and gluten free dishes. Whether you're wanting a substantial lunch or just a piece of cake, they offer plenty for big or small appetites. A small kids menu offers vegan alternatives of popular dishes such as hot dogs and chicken nuggets. From a COVID safety point of view, patrons have to check-in using the NHS app, staff are masked at all times, there's hand gel and disinfectant spray available, and tables are reasonably spread. It's a small venue so extra care would be required to maintain social distancing in the tightest spots such as the stairs.

I’ve never been a breakfast person but the breakfast toastie I had was amazing. Quality of ingredients is excellent. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The people I was with were first timers like me and we’d all love to go back. Snickers/peanut butter chocolate milkshake is to die for..

Lovely staff at this place go there with my vegan friend who can be a little fussy but they deal with her fabulously. Food is delicious

My partner and I were delighted to find a vegan cafe only down the road when we were on a visit home. Even more delighted that everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We had the big breakfast which was perfect after a long night of travel. I had a cheeseburger toastie which was unreal. The gherkin relish was 10/10. We had several slices of the chocolate torte during the week we stayed but we should have gotten more. I can't wait to visit again next time we're back in Liverpool.
