On March 11th 2019 I visited the ER due to a fall on the ice. Both elbows were injured, one with an open wound. After 5 plus hours of waiting, I was seen by a doctor, but not in a room. Rather, in the hallway of the nursing station. I was told there were no broken bones, and the wound was lightly washed, and I was sent on my way with a bandage. No antibiotics, no pain medicine, nothing. 6 days later, my entire arm was swollen, and I was unable to close my hand. I visited a Urgent care center. My arm was infected, and the wound had to be cut open, drained, cleaned and packed. I was told it should have been stitched. I received two oral antibiotics, as well as a shot. This was done for $200. My ER bill after insurance was $1,550. FOR NOTHING but gauze, salt water, and X-Rays. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. I should have gone to Evanston Hospital.

Don't come here unless you want to be transferred 5 times between Glenbrook/Highland Park/Evanston Hospitals because not a single hospital in this health system can completely take care of a patient.

Had chest pain. Went to ER. The triage nurse saw me right away. Then it was 5.5 hours of wait when we get into ER room it was a sight to behold nurses and docs at the desks and not busy per the front desk registration personnel (registration was kind) Once we were in the ER room it took about 20 minutes before a nurse came with X-ray machine . Then another 20minutes for the doctor to chat with us for about 8 mins . The test results came bask normal so they don’t know why the chest pain comes sometimes. Expensive lesson But yeah they are understaffed and it seems not every nurse and doc have urgency . There were 8 patients when we arrived at 4:45pm Ana doc saw me w 10pm. Then it took another 40 mins before we were let go with instructions not to eat certain food as remedy . 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Chest pain bro no answers just a big bill coming.

The entire emergency staff needs to learn how to treat human beings. They love to see people in severe pain and keep them in the waiting room for 3+ hours!! Northshore is a University of humiliation.

I so rarely leave reviews, let alone negative ones. I also *very* rarely criticize healthcare workers and hospitals. I have been going through health issues for two years, extreme consistent nausea, have lost over 100 lbs as a result, and am in frequent severe pain. I made an appointment with Dr. Lee (a specialist) in April for August. During this appointment I explained that I am a teacher and would not be available at the time. A long time when your health is bad, but I understood. They said they would make it work with my schedule and/or put me on a cancellation list, but definitely get me in during that time frame. Over a week from my appointment (two days ago) I called because I hadn’t heard anything from them. Long story short, they lied a wouldn’t get me in until the end of the year. After hearing me SOB about how Ill I been on the phone, they simply suggested I find elsewhere or go to urgent care (despite having been to the ER 9x and hospitalized 3, including one surgery). It is ABUNDANTLY CLEAR that northshore DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. Not sure why they ordered an extremely expensive test a month ago if they didn’t actually care about seeing or helping me.

Believe the reviews! Worst hospital emergency room! Waited over 4 hours and still did not see doctor, other patients were waiting 6+ hours. Active nausea, vomiting and diarrhea was not enough to be considered high acuity, the attorney general should investigate this hospital emergency room!

No rooms no logic. So shocked after the immediate care told me 6 hours I went to this Emergency room they told me 7-8 hours. At what point do you re assess the situation? Make something work? This isn't even the bare minimum in care. They are also very impatient when speaking to patients. In 2 hours I saw maybe 2 people leave the waiting room and get medical help. They came out to say there is a wait and to be patient but like I said at what point do you realize this isn’t working and you must find a way to help people faster. There’s no excuse other than absolute zero care and negligence. Disgusting place here’s a picture of the water fountain. There’s fungus or something growing on it. There is zero humanity here. I’m from a 3rd world country and I think this place is garbage. Must be fun to work here tho, I see plenty staff laughing and on their phones, coming and going having a ball. I’m the last person to judge other people jobs i don’t know what they do but there were plenty staff and way too much playing around when there’s a room full of patients at an emergency room. Theres no actual care here people are left to rot. Waiting for ghosts.

Waited 6 hours to be seen in the ER with excruciating pain. They took a CT scan because they had no idea what was wrong with me and told me I had 3 massive kidney stones. The nurse missed my vein 3 times and made me bleed everywhere and then they sent me home with NOTHING. Thanks for nothing! My orthopedic surgeon at a private practice took X-rays and showed me the stones/ told me more about them than North Shore’s ER did. Embarrassing. Northshore charged me an arm and a leg though, that’s for sure! They’re really good at scamming!

4 hours ago, I was in the hospital. The emergency room brought my son, who is 6 years old, and I preferred to wait 4 hours. Unfortunately, the doctor did not come. Why now did I leave a room? They told me the doctor would come, and also, unfortunately, he did not come for 4 hours. I returned home and walked 10 minutes because I made a big mistake. I brought him to the hospital. Why like this? Treatment, and the weather is rainy, I will not bring children to the hospital anymore. Thank you very much

My daughter needed emergency medical attention since so went to hospital emergency department around 7:30 AM. Wait time was not bad for this visit. Nurse and doctor able to take a look by 8:30 AM. They did covid test, strep throat test, and blood test to find out what's wrong. About 11 AM Nurses Ellie and Doctor told my wife that my daughter has a flu. They then realized they looked at 6 months old results not today's. They went back to wait for blood results and finally by 12:30 pm nothing found so Nurse Ellie comes with new antibiotics prescription and said discharged and no any other details. NURSE Ellie was rude and did not act professionally. I had lot of trust in Northshore quality of services and this experience tells me it is not true so my recommendation to others to see if you have other better options for medical treatment somewhere else just to avoid big medical bills for worst service.

My husband was admitted after a hip replacement. He had complications that no one could explain. Hard to find people to ask questions of. You must have people there to advocate or you get nothing. They don’t seem to care a whole lot about the patients and just try to get out of the room as quickly as possible. Don’t get sick!!!!!!!!!!

My friend took MRI at North shore professional building LL. Very clean facilities. Professionally take care to calm him down. This is his 3rd time but start to the end make him feel comfortable. I saw my friend 1st time in UIc hospital had claustrophobia so he can’t get in the machine.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My GP thought I might have a blood clot in my leg, so he sent me to get a doppler. It is now over four days since my test, and I have heard nothing from Skokie Hospital. I guess if I have a stroke, then I'll know I had a blood clot. I will never go to such an uncaring, incompetent hospital again.

Dr's are great but E.R. wait time sucks. Wait times are extreme. Waited 5 hours for serious trama If you even dare ask, it appears they make you wait longer. Don't go to the ER here.. you will likely die in the waiting room.. As noted, they do have good docs though .

Weather there are 2, 20 & 200 patients, the wait time is 6 hrs. There were practically no patients waiting at the ER when the paramedics brought my dad. We had a horrendous experience of dealing with Nurse Lee who was extremely snappy, rude & unprofessional. My dad had fallen on his face & he was in excruciating pain. After asking for pain killer numerous times; Two, over the count Tylenols came after 2 hours. This experience has left a very bad taste in our mouth. Moving forward I have asked my parents never to go to this hospital again.

Sitting in the ER for over 3 hours is not good service. People coming in after us leaving before us doesn't make sense. It should be 1st come 1st serve unless you're bleeding or dying. You leave there feeling worse than when you got there.

If I could give zero Stars I would. I was in extreme pain from a kidney stone got in there and two and a half hours later still was not seen. A man with extreme abdominal pain left to go somewhere else. And another man complaining of chest pains left to go somewhere else. Want to use the restroom in the emergency room area and there was nobody back there and there's a station was dark and no staff anywhere to be seen. And the entire two and a half hours I was there nobody was brought to the back from the waiting room. My advice don't go there unless you want to die in the waiting room

Cook County hospital is way better than this hospital & I went to Emergency room at 1 pm in the afternoon & the Doctor came to see me at 9 pm in night , I mean the hospital & Also the Er management should know the actual meaning of Er , If someone comes to an Emergency room that means he is seriously in a very bad pain & should be treated right away or atleast with in an 1 hour but not to wait for 8 hours.

I wish I could give this er and their staff a negative 10 . This hospital is ridiculous I've been here since 9am they gave me 2 breathing treatments for my asthma to only tell me that my blood work shows I might have a blood clot mind you they stuck me with a needle 10x because the couldn't get a "good vein". The time is now 7 pm and I'm STILL here. This emergency room is by far THEE worst. I'd go to St. Francis Hospital before I ever come back here

I had an emergency room visit for an eye injury. I had bleeding and double vision. Everyone from the security guard, front desk, nurse, and the main doctor, Dr. Feinzimer was kind and very professional. Dr. Feinzimer was noted for his expertize and attention to detail. He was also amazing with reassuring me that my condition would resolve itself over time. The hospital itself is very clean as well. I do believe that people probably did have some issues. This seems to be a case where you have to be there at the right time and be matched up well, which was the case for me.

Joseph Raviv ruined my life by performing an unnecessary surgery on me when I was sedated. All I needed was the endoscopic sinus surgery (where they widen the sinus drainage passages). However, this monkey threw in an unnecessary septoplasty that severely narrowed the right side of my nasal airway. For people reading this, I have included X-ray images of my sinuses, before and after my surgery with Raviv. As you can see from these images, my airway was much more open, and equal on both sides, before my surgery with him. Dr Raviv performed this unnecessary surgery to collect the additional insurance money. There is no other excuse. Furthermore, when I later contacted him, and told him my breathing was much worse, and I suspected that it was because of my septum, he told me that he wouldn’t be able to perform the revision septoplasty (make the septum the way it was before). Therefore, not only is he greedy, in the sense of performing unnecessary surgeries, but he is also incompetent, not being able to fix his mistakes. This unnecessary surgery has caused me to suffer significant health and emotional problems over the past five years. Since I cannot really breathe out of my nose that well, I don’t sleep that well at night anymore. Because of that, I am tired all day, and not able to function well. I have lost friends and jobs over the years, and cannot pursue some of the career goals that I wanted to when I was younger. The only reason I can’t sue Raviv is because my statue of limitations for medical malpractice has expired. Therefore I am writing these reviews to exposed what this man did to me, and to dissuade anyone else from seeing him.

Zero Stars. Horrible service. Severe lack of staff. Little to no care about the patients. A friend of mine was injured and taken to the urgent care where he was forced to wait almost 6 hours to receive any form of medical attention. Absolutely no reason for someone to be in pain and uncomfortable such an unreasonable amount of time. Beyond upset, will never come back.

Had an appointment to see an orthopedic specialist. The check-in was quick. We were shown to a prep room right away, and a short medical interview: To confirm the reason for my visit, that I am the correct patient, standard paperwork. This was all done efficiently. A short wait for the specialist. Everything is going well. The specialist is straight-forward, precise, and sympathetic. He explains in easily understood language what my condition might be, and what we can do to improve it/me. I ask some questions and he has answers... some not too good to hear, but I'm glad to hear it from a professional, and not read about it from a website. He orders another procedure, which was quickly taken care of in the same building; that was very good. Done in no time at all. He orders additional therapy off-site, which will hopefully help correct my condition. Having the NorthShore app is excellent. The results are updated on it almost immediately, it's pretty intuitive, am I'm glad it's well-designed. Of course, having great people working on it makes all the difference. Today's experience at the NS Skokie location is very good. 😊

This is one of the worst hospitals I've ever been to. The only decent doctor I've seen here is Dr. Rogers and he is wonderful. The waiting room people are horrible and the wait time is always through the roof. Plan on being at the end of the line to be seen if you are unvaccinated.

Just had my foot surgery. What an amazing staff from beginning to End! Jenny, Dana, Karen, Dr. Garibashvili, Dr. Shapiro and every male Staff and Dr. Kielikian and his staff. They were all so courteous, caring, reassuring and simply so helpful. The hospital facility was very clean too, I would highly recommend them.

Worst ER I’ve ever been to. Arrived by ambulance and waited 2 hours to get “care”. The doctors didn’t listen to me at all and insisted I was getting better when I clearly was not. Staff was more concerned with socializing with each other rather than helping patients.

Worst clinic ever! Gone to lunch and would not even let my injured son sit in lobby for 5min until break was over. Truly disgusted by the attitude in this clinic. Patient care is definitely not their first priority!

The service was incredibly slow. I had to wait for more than three hours just to get tested for my sickness. Even though many people made an appointment they still made them come back the next day and wait even longer. The secretary would tell us and many other patients to be there at a certain time but everyone had to wait more. I do not recommend this care center at all.

I was hospitalized on 9/10/2020 for a knee surgery. The attention I received at the hospital was really good, my doctor, the hospital and staff was great. Today a little more than three weeks after the surgery I feel good and everything is going well, thank you Dr. Stamos. I will recommend this hospital and doctor to anyone in need of an orthopedic treatment! Thank you for a great service!

On March 24, I had a total knee replacement at Northshore Skokie Hospital. I had wonderful service on Patient 5 East Tect. Jennifer, Danial and Aldwin were very helpful, patient and understanding. I do hope that they are recognized by the administrator for there kindness exhibited towards me.
