I have Danish crystal glassware in the Amager pattern, that was discontinued around 1969. You can't find them in the U.S., even at Replacements Ltd. Over a few years, inevitably, a few pieces have been lost. So I decided to check out the possibility of finding it elsewhere in the world. Happily, Google discovered that Harsted Antik had the Amager pattern, and Google also was nice enough to translate the site into English for me! I found a number of different offerings of my pattern and ordered two of the parcels that were offered. Then came the part I dreaded, arranging for payment and shipment. But it wasn't hard at all, thanks to the great help of Kristian Harsted-Simonsen, who made it all simple. I was glad that he could invoice me using PayPal, so payment was a breeze. And he combined two different parcels into one, so that I paid just a single shipping charge. When I was in Copenhagen a year ago I didn't know about the store, so I missed my chance to meet Mr. Harsted-Simonsen in person. They have an interesting Web site, so I'm sure the store itself is fascinating. And from other reviews, I gather that the employees are as friendly in person as they are through email!
