I attended the women's surf camp last weekend with Mel and her crew. I'm 37 years old, a complete surf rookie and this was probably one of the best decisions in my life. I got so many valuable lessons about technique, types of waves, equipment, surf styles, weather forecasts, surf etiquette and more. The atmosphere was supportive, fun and positive. Mel's crew is welcoming, open and genuinely celebrates your little surf success stories with you. The instructors paid close attention to all participants and gave individual tips and feedback, which was always formulated in a respectful, encouraging and uplifting way. I felt like all participants had a great time and it was cool to connect with other women and hear about their surf journey and experience. Overall I feel like Mel and her crew managed to create an empowering space for women who want to chase waves. Thanks for showing us the fun zone 😃

I highly recommend surf lessons with Mel, Michael and the team at Rebelle Surf School in beautiful Strandhill. They run incredibly safe, supportive and most importantly, super fun surf lessons for all ages. They genuinely care about people's learning and progress, and provide individualised instruction and lots of encouragement and celebration! Their gear is in great condition, they have very good learner to instructor ratios, and they always prioritise safety. You will love surfing with Rebelle Surf School!

We were driving through Sligo and a swell popped up. We are experienced surfers but did not have any gear and the shops in Strand Hill do not rent boards outside of lessons/guides because of the rips. We booked a two hour board/wetsuit/guided session with Michael and had a blast. Highly recommend!

The best surf school in Strandhill. My kids have been there three times and without a doubt head and shoulders above others in the area. Instructor amazing with kids and same people every year. Warm showers and changing rooms too.

Had a great lesson with Caoime - she was amazing with my 2 kids, so encouraging & calm, a great instructor. The whole experience with Rebelle was very easy from start to finish & we will definitely be back.

Amazing couple of days at Mel’s surf camp. Mel, Graham and crew are fun and professional in equal measure. So much was achieved through the two days, and all done in the comfort of great company and heaps of fun. I highly recommend Mel’s surf camps for women.
