Climbed it on a sunny day, a little rare in this neck of the woods, and it was fantastic. The views from top are to die for. Start from a small carpark, if it is full, as it was when I was there, the road has wide verges and ample room for parking. There is a state-of-the-art path from carpark to summit, on steep areas stone steps are installed. Iconic mountain!

It is a good hike. I was not able to complete it due to the weather. But seems funs might return to it someday. Enough parking is available with no other facilities.

I would recommend doing this hike on a dry day it gets very steep at the top so its not for the faint hearted. It took us 3hrs altogether to climb up an down. Bring lunch and enjoy the scenes at the top.

Bring good hiking boots, the first part can be very wet, leading to the stones can be slippery. Constant climb all the way, tough going until the top and then the views take over, breathing Donegal at its best. And then the struggle down, the car park seems to be getting further away when your legs are slowly turning to jelly. Remember go to the toilet before climbing.

Difficult climb but worth it. Stone steps nearly all the way up but still a hard climb. Very busy with hundreds making the climb. Weather perfect. Great views from the summit. Well with the trip.

Plenty of space but we did climb on a poor weather day… not sure there’s many good weather days though 😅

Never thought I will be able to make this climb but made it almost to the top. Weather gods were nice that day. Will not recommended if it's raining a little also. Trek os very beautiful but tiring.

Very good parking spot! Perfect for ascending Errigal. Lovely views and easy to get to. Be there early! Especially on Bank Holiday weekends. Later it can be packed full. And… have waterproof shoes, runners won’t do!
