Very good quality food. Service was excellent too. Dishes were cooked to a very high standard. Every course was very good. I think they could do some more modern dishes. Great meal overall and would definitely recommend it. We were asked to show our covid certs but they didn't scan them and we were not asked for ID. We were asked for a phone number for contact tracing.

Very tasty, well presented food. Service friendly and efficient. Our experience was so pleasant on the Sunday evening that we returned on the Monday evening. We would highly recommend 👌

We came here for lunch spontaneously after arriving in Sligo. Menu is great and reasonably priced, with lovely views on the outdoor seating with some rain cover. The service in particular was exceptional - very accommodating to one of our dietary restrictions made us a dish off menu! Food was lovely with a surprise soup amuse bouche . Generally could have more vegetarian options (eg more pasta options?) but was overall a very enjoyable experience! Will return!

A great location with plush decor and impeccable service, but certainly not the best Sligo has to offer in this price range. All plates were a great presentation, but most were surprisingly lacking in taste. Steak and Scallops were perfect, but the fish special was not so special. Dessert cheese plate was nice but the Candy Floss (cotton candy) Tree was rock hard and the Panna Cotta bitter.

Heralded as the Best Restaurant in Connacht since 2015 until now (except for 2019 and the Covid years - 2020 and 2021), you can't just leave Sligo and not try Eala Bhán's food. From the presentation, to the service, and most especially the taste of the food, it ticks off all the boxes every gourmand requires and so much more.

Always a great food experience in Eala Ban. Went for the theatre set menu. Excellent and attentive staff as well and nice location beside the river.

My colleague told me the lore about the swans on the way which did a good job of setting the scene. Eala Bhan is in a beautiful spot by the river (the swans were actually there), and the inside matches that vibe. A wee bit fancy eh. Menu is upscale traditional/Irish and they bring you a tiny cup of parsnip somethingorother and some beaut bread/pesto before as you peruse it. Food was 10/10. Particularly the mushroom and blue cheese lasagna which delivered the flavour/texture combo that dreams are made of. I am not a desert person but I stole some of my colleague's baked alaska when he wasn't looking and wow. Staff were super attentive and service was quick and friendly. House wine did the job.

A mouthwatering treat with my family. The service was faultless, very capable, friendly and charming young staff. We really felt as though we were being treated like royalty. You may initially think the servings are on the smaller side HOWEVER, as you eat through your courses you will quickly realise you will be sufficiently full by the end of your experience. You can order extra vegetables if you wish. All in all the food was delicious, sufficient and the staff impeccable. Enjoy.

One of the best Irish restaurants I've ever eaten in. Staff are extremely welcoming and professional. Food is a perfect example of local Irish food done brilliantly. It's a small bit on the expensive side but totally justifiable.

A very pleasant place, great food and service. The dishes looked beautiful, and the size of the portions was just right. Loved that Alaska dessert, an interesting combination of wet meringue and an ice cream, too sweet though :)

Uh.. I don’t know where to start. It was DELICIOUS! From the beginning until the end. Strong start with a ginger carrot soup as a amuse-bouche, fish cake and goat cheese as a starter, meat and fish as a main course and the dessert hazelnut cake and apple pear crumble. Let me tell you it was a party for our mouths and bellies! Never ever want I hear again that in Irland you can’t eat good food!

Recently popped in here whilst on our holdiays, and from the minute we walked in the experience was fantastic. The staff were attentive, chatty and lovely. The food was spectacular, both in presentation and in taste. Cannot recommend it highly enough! The trio of duck was delicious, the steak cooked to perfection and the desserts (Panna Cotta with Cotton Candy tree, and Mini Baked Alaska) were the perfect ending.

Don't be fooled by the lack of bells and whistles outside compared to neighbouring businesses. This place is first class. I had the taste of the sea for starter and the fish special for main and they were the best fish dishes I've had. Great food, great staff
