Beautifully cooked Seafood Mornay with fresh pint of Guinness👍...You could tell all the seafood are freshly prepared, the white wine and cream sauce has well balanced flavours but not heavy...the crunchy garlic bread goes really well with it...We're just Walk-in but had nice seats by the window, very beautiful view of Strandhill Beach...We would highly recommend and will come back again! 😊

The Food here was excellent, I had the seafood Mornay which was a cheesy creamy dish full of fish, crab claws and mussels with plenty of garlic bread on the side. The staff were friendly and it was a beautiful evening overlooking the sunset over the bay.

Food is amazing. Chicken wings and onion rings highly recommended. Leaving room for dessert will be difficult to manage but very well worth it. Staff are friendly and very attentive. Booking recommended for this incredible place don't forget to try get a window seat and take in the fabulous views while enjoying your meal. Onion rings 10/10

Absolutely superb! Was there on Friday 24th June after my step daughter's graduation. The food was outstanding and the staff were super slick. We had a lovely view out to the Atlantic. My only crib would be that the day was overcast so we couldn't really appreciate the location. I hope that they can address this glitch going forward (!) Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough👍👍👍👍👍

My first time here. From the outside you think you are going to eat in a traditional pub style setting and while you do enter a cosy pub as you walk through you are greeted by a modern, spacious restaurant with an amazing back wall window ovwrlo9king Strandhill and the sea. Food was delicious and staff were excellent. Very enjoyable, ilk definitely be back

Wonderful experience. It was my husband's birthday and we were a little party of 6. We got the best welcome from Suzie, who took away discreetly the little cake and decorations we had provided for dessert before my husband came in. We were spoilt by lovely staff all evening (all of them, sorry didn't get names, all young and cheerful and happy to work there) Banter and laughter and taking pics for us. Lovely food, best seafood chowder, fish and chips, smoked salmon. All fresh and well presented. Then came the cake complete with candle and song!! Definitely will be back. When you've lost hope in good service and hospitality, just go to The Venue to remember how it can be done. 5 stars *****

This place is top notch in every way, as soon as we walked in the staff greeted us with the most friendly of welcome. Plus the place itself has a nice vibe, the decor is fantastic, and the view of the sea from the rear of the restaurant is just class. We all opted for the beer battered haddock & chips, it was the nicest fish & chips I've ever had. We had done a long trip along the wild Atlantic way with some lovely places to eat, but this place was superior to all, and the staff were so nice. Also the price of our food was very good, would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

Stopped here at the end of our road trip today and it was amazing. Got the fish and chips and it was so so tasty. For dessert we got the apple, pear and cinnamon crumble with ice cream... It was to die for. The staff were really lovely and friendly aswell. And the location is amazing. Overlooking the ocean. 😍 Will definitely be back.

The Venue bar and restaurant is 5 stars, all day long. The food is consistently excellent every time. Outstanding food, excellent staff, lovely atmosphere. Love this place.

Excellent local restaurant. Great buzz, good service, some servers nicer than others. The food is lovely, there is a broad menu, there is a full bar, and good views I'd suspect if you got a window seat. I'd definitely go back again.

Good food. ....BUT ...I think charging 13€ to allow you to bring your own wine is s bit much......is there really that much of a mark up on a bottle of wine. ????

Looking at the review from a local guide below, I think we were dining in a different place. I ate dinner there and my halibut from the special of the day menu was one of the best dishes I had eaten for a long time. My friend got a peri peri salmon, and she couldn't stop praising it. The service is great, pleasant, and attentive, the atmosphere cool, relaxed but elegant. I have eaten there a few times, and I'm never disappointed. The bonus is the attached pub and a small bar with the live music on Fridays.

Got the steak and wine for €30 deal on Friday night. Excellent value, was impressed with the quality of the steak and the house wine was good. Plenty of food, the garlic potatoes were lovely. Had the crab claws to start, generous portion and good qality.

Plain menu, repeated items, not great quality food. When we arrived, we asked for a table of 3. Staff member replied, stating we can only have the table for an hour and to only order mains and not starters as they are very busy and our table is booked. While we ordered, waited and ate our mains there were always 3 tables empty at all times. While we paid more tables were free. No back ground music to help create a relaxed atmosphere. Just noise from the busy kitchen.

Beautiful meal with relatives. Food was superb, staff were so friendly and helpful. Would hope to return on our next visit.

Having enjoyed a lovely walk on the nearby beach, we booked at short notice for an early evening meal. The Venue was as we expected and more. The staff is very friendly and has a great choice on the menu

Stellar staff - attentive, informed of their menu, quick and super friendly. Beautiful view during daylight hours and wonderfully decorated for the holiday season. I had an amazing ribeye, cooked blue (rare) as requested, which many restaurants don't do or do correctly. Kudos and thank you!! The rosemary cream with it was a perfect pairing. Also had the pistachio creme brulee which was good although very dense because of the pistachios... Not quite as expected. Also ordered the surf and turf with a wonderful au jus that had him noting "they spend time getting their sauces right". 🤗 Nice wine selection, as well.

Best chicken wings in town! Always such a treat, staff are super kind and attentive. Aaron and Susie took great care of us on many visits. The views over the village and the ocean can’t be beaten!

Really lovely atmosphere. Food was good but I should have gone for the fresh fish instead of a chicken dish. Decent prices all round, staff were very accommodating and polite.

Hand on heart this place served the best food I've had so far on my trip around Ireland. The food was so exceptional my partner & I visited twice in four days for dinner. The staff were lovely, polite & knowledgeable about the food. If I'm ever in the area again it'll definitely be my first choice for food.

We came last year and had a great meal. Then we came again! We visited once for dinner and another time for drinks. Both were excellent. Lovely food and a great view. I recommend the seafood mornay. The staff are really friendly and are trained very well. Kudos to them.

Lovely restaurant. They have lovely chicken wings 😊 always my favourite. Had visit recently with my husband and baby, high chair for baby was accommodated for us, such relief to have you hands free while eating 🤣 staff was super friendly but I had feeling like I wasn't able to eat in peace as there was 3 waiters coming to your table in the space of only few minutes. The place was more than half empty so they were not short in space, also we had booked our table in advance we supposed to have 2h slot but it was very stressful for me that I had waiters coming to my table all the time, I was not feeling comfortable, I was feeling like I'm pain in ar^e and I have to leave as soon as possible. Just because I love the food and maybe they didn't mean it I will leave it at 5 start but I think I will take my food for take away next time.

Food Fabulous and extremely tasty. The best crab claws I've tasted to date and the chicken wings are unreal. It has very impressive views of the Atlantic and you can take in and watch a glorious sunset. Highly recommend. Booking on a Friday or Saturday night would be essential.
