Beautiful beach with stunning views of the Atlantic and Benbulben. Water stays shallow for quite far out so safe swimming is guaranteed if you follow the tide guide posted at the end of the steps down to the beach. Would benefit from having a changing facility for folks who value privacy, but otherwise well worth the visit!

Tide was out, sand was warm, ocean was a delight. Great beach for kid exploring the rock pools and a decent swim without having to walk too far. Sand as far as the eye can see. Parking can be a challenge and some drivers get inventive about where to leave their cars. Plenty of food options with the food/ ice cream / coffee trucks parked on site. The camp site was used by friends who said it was excellently appointed.

Great for walking, views. You can swim also if you dare to..cold water quite often. Not too many shops in the beach area, actually none. The nearest shop I seen which is a shame was quite a walk away.

Lovely beach with rocky areas. There was even a purpose built crutch holder for me in one of the rocks. Keep an eye on the tide times however or you could get cut off.

Rosses point beach is lovely, with views of Benbulben and Knocknarea mountains. It's a safe beach for swimming and has rock pools which can be fun to look around with the kids. There is a camp site, yacht club, golf club, hotel, bars and restaurants and a small local shop. On sunny days you may find an ice cream truck and a coffee cart in the carpark of the beach. There is a lack of bins so be prepared to take any rubbish home with you.

Wow! Loved my time here. Visit this place, I am sure you will love the walk besides the beach. A lot of history is hidden here. There are enough places available for parking. I often drive to this beach from Sligo town. I recommend this place.

Another beautiful Irish beach that is being affected by coastal erosion. Still a great place to walk, swim, or have fun. Quiet out of season, but the area has stunning views. It's worth a visit.

Lovely spot. Fab sun sets and lovely walks. Dangerous currents from the pier. Swim with care.

The beach is so beautiful 😍 There is a sandy part for those who want to spend a say at the beach, few benches on top for those who just want to enjoy the view and of course for those who want just to have a walk - there is plenty views to see. We found a place to park with no problem. Before going g down to the beach - make sure you used WC because there is only one we found- and it was on the top of the hill( not far from parkings) The only minus - water seemed a bit dirty after long beach day so we couldn't really go for a swim

Well worth the drive out to see the views. Tide was in. Dunes are lovely. Was just a quick visit so can't comment on anything else in the area. Hope to go back again some day when weather is better and the tide is out to spend time on the beach.

This beach is really nice, the only problem if with the tides. Some days the tides can be really high and they can cover all the sand leaving you only the rocks to walk and sit which can be really uncomfortable specially if you go with small kids. Other than that the view is great.
