Generally speaking the doctors are usually very lovely Dr Davey and Dr Hussein have both been very kind and compassionate towards me! One thing i have to say which i find quite distressing is the attitude of the Receptionist with the grey hair and glasses. I can understand working for the NHS is very stressful in these unprecedented times, however stress is NO excuse to talk to people in the manner that i have experienced and observed. As i sat in the waiting room for an hour waiting for my appointment i witnessed her speaking to several people in a very arrogant and rude way. One a young woman just trying to register who got this tone. Another Older gentleman who went to ask how long the wait is going to be after sitting there patiently for an hour already to which he got a very rude response. ALL NHS practices should have a clear and transparent complaints procedure, After he asked for the contact details for the office manager she was reluctant to give this up and told him curtly to look it up! After all of this and the gent had sat back down, she made a snide remark saying she would wait hours to see the doctor which was argumentative and not helpful. People go to the doctor for various reasons such as routine checkups, chronic/ painful illnesses and even serious mental health issues. A person who is battling mental health such as depression, anxiety and or suicidal thoughts should never be met by a person like this and doesn’t deserve to be treated like this, No one does. I think the surgery need to think about which people they are hiring for these front facing roles and apply adequate training into customer service. Everyone has a bad day but from previous reviews and being on the receiving end of it in the past, it sounds as if she’s having a few too many. This of course does not apply to all of the receptionist staff as i have spoken to Shelby a few times, who floats around between the two surgeries and she was lovely! However this review is probably pointless because reading back through reviews, 9 months ago the same woman (i believe) had a similar review made about her yet nothing has changed.

appointments very difficult to get, been trying to book over a week now any days of the week but the phones are busy in the morning and by the time they answer all the appointments gone. we are just over a very hard time with my family, my son had a heart surgery couple of week ago (11weeks) and when i tried to get prescribed his meds i was told is very expensive and to go back to the hospital where they gave it to us. No empathy at all and a lovely comment " take it easy" is it really how they should be handling patients:((

My experience w Denham Medical Centre has been very disappointing. I've been gaslighted by the male doctor when seeking help for some very real symptoms, then a year later when a life threatening event occurred related to the original symptoms I have had zero follow-up. They claim they passed the problem on to a specialist who then passed it back to Denham MC. On top of that, getting a response to side effects for medication has been pulling teeth. Nobody there has time for patients and you're made to feel like you are a nuisance. I understand the NHS is at a breaking point, but this is not the fault of patients.

LATEX ALLERGY is a severe and progressive allergy. Every exposure makes it more severe. My allergy has already progressed to airborne, breathing in the air is enough to cause me allergic reactions. Wouldn't think that I would walk into any latex balloons in a medical setting trying to check in. The irony that they are aware of my allergy and that many others have it, and it is commonly developed due to medical settings. I had to stand outside while my husband sat there and waited for me to be called. If covid restrictions were still around I would have been unable to get my appointment. In the medical setting this is absolutely unacceptable. I have hives now. Latex particles are released from balloons and land on surfaces and last through several cleanings. Please educate yourselves in a medical setting, your 4 balloons are nothing but a severe issue to people who can't control their allergy or go elsewhere for medical treatment.

Had a very difficult receptionist to deal with who lacked compassion and care towards my two poorly children who were incredibly unwell. The medicine dosage was incorrect snd I was told I need to wait 4 hours for the dr to amend to correct dosage. When I asked for support, I was told she hadn’t got ‘time for this and is busy’. I was terribly upset with the lack of compassion especially as i came through as an emergency from 111. I told her I’m at the pharmacy and can’t wait for the medicine outside in the cold, she said ‘I don’t have time for this’. I was so upset - especially as it’s your children.

Disgustingly rude receptionists who need educating on both basic customer service skills and manners , but also extremely incompetent doctors who give dangerously wrong medical advice. I’d advise anyone , especially families with young children to avoid this place like the plague if you value your families health and well-being.

I have never known a practice so badly managed. You can never get an appointment. You are expected to call at 08.30 for an appointment. When you do, you are on hold for about 20 mins only to be told, when you do get through, that there are no appointments left. You then have to go through the same process the following day. I have tried to book an appointment in advance too. This doesn't work either. Don't waste your time. Sign up with another practice.

Grey haired lady on reception has an extremely unhelpful attitude. Booked an appointment, turned up and she couldn't find it which is no problem, mistakes happen. It is purely down to her attitude and lack of customer care that is the problem. No thought of how the patient may feel at all. Terrible.

The staff, nurses and doctors are extremely professional. The issue is the appointment times. They are always running late. I would understand 5/10 mins but I’m talking 45-50 mins. Really challenging when thinking to book an appointment especially considering you take time off from work to go.

It is almost impossible to get a face to face appointment. It is difficult to get a callback consultation. IF you are fortunate enough to get a face to face, you can be halfway through a question and the GP presses a bell for next patient to come in. This is no way, after waiting so long to see your GP, to be treated. We ARE entitled to be seen and heard ????9

It so hard to get an appointment. Issue which can't be done without seeing patient they just give you telephone appointment. Unfortunately we don't have any other surgery option so stuck with this one.

Fantastic medical centre. Was previously with another local practise and left due to poor handling of my situation on multiple occasions. From the very start the staff at Denham have been professional and approachable. The doctors and other clinician's I have been involved with have provided excellent service and a great advertisement for how good our NHS can be. Thank you very much

I rang for an appt today and the staff who took my call was professional and friendly. I saw nurse Debbie. She was very lovely. Took her time and dealt with me in a very impressive way. I believe credit needs to be given to the surgery staff who are doing very difficult tasks. Thank you. Mrs Navninder Sumray-Roots
