Beautiful garden. English Pub.

We visited on a Saturday, early evening. Despite the pub not being overly busy, the staff seemed rushed. Our pint of Bitter was thrust across the bar at us, spilling in the process, leaving us with a wet sticky glass before we'd even sat down. The menu is fairly compact but generally with something for every taste. Our food arrived at the table after around 20 minutes but the pasta dish was barely warm. This is purely my opinion but I think it might have been left on the side until the Burger was also ready so they could be served together. A little salad on the side would have been most welcome also. The pub itself has a warm, friendly feel to it, with a large peaceful Garden and ample off road parking is provided. We will be back for drinks but sadly not for the food.

Went there after a nice walk through the Beeches. It's a cosy pub, with good service and food. Everyone enjoyed their starters. I had the whitebait to start and the fish and chips. The rest of the group mentioned that the Sunday roasts were good.

Superb food, slow service on the Saturday lunchtime we visited. All there is to it!

Sunday roast was cold, waited 25mins to get table service for drinks, no one serving at bar as staff trying to serve tables. massive argument and near fight in the bar, woman threatening to smash up the place if a man was not asked to leave, staff didn't know how to handle, told man to leave should have thrown both out, my in laws very upset and scared. Service was terrible due to no staff, toilet seat in ladies on the floor so only 1 loo available, looked unclean and smelt terrible, such a shame. Felt very sorry for the few staff that were trying to make it work.

Nice building and location. Food nice although menu feels as if it's trying a little hard. More choice for vegetarians would be great.

Belting chips, great steak and top notch ales

Great food but the service could have been improved. Ordered one veggie roast with meat gravy and one vegan roast but the staff kept getting confuse with which was which. I'm vegan and ended up with yorkshires which I had to question and they took them off my plate. Whole process was more difficult than it needed to be. Food and atmosphere was amazing, i just think staff need to be more careful with dietary restrictions. Wouldn't feel confident coming here with people with allergies.

Absolutely fantastic staff. My friends 25th Anniversary was stunning and the staff really helped to make that happen. Great place for a party!

Lovely old style feel to the pub , friendly welcome , good choice of drinks particularly beer and real ales. Not the cheapest pub though. Would visit again.

I visited the Emperor with a group of friends and we enjoyed a buffet for our get together. The pub has a lovely atmosphere. The buffet food was fresh and well presented. The service was friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit.

Food is absolutely amazing. We eat a Sunday roast there regularly and the food is always fab.

The standard of customer care is very poor. Last week we had a good lunch. This week the kitchen was shut, because the weather was too hot and only limited BBQ was being served. Did they bother to call anyone with bookings and tell them? Of course not. We went elsewhere.

Great pub. Amazing new chef, food was great quality. We ordered the whitebait, fish and chips, roast beef and the Chicken Caesar salad. All presented well and so tasty! The chicken caesar had chargrilled chicken and was a good portion size, most places serve such small salads! Staff all friendly too, would recommend !! ⭐️

Very nice country lane pub. Pints are spot on. Beer garden has various seating options. Perfect for a few quiet drinks

Lovely pub within walking distance of Burnham beaches "ancient woodland". They have a small menu with some of the best pub classics. I had a lovely sausages and mash and my wife had a great fully loaded nachos. In the winter they light 3 fire places and it's a really cosy atmosphere.

Incredibly attentive staff, particularly Ian, provided an amazing experience for us. The food was just simply a delight, the best we’ve had locally. Our first visit, but certainly not our last!!!
