BEWARE! Verbal harassment if you don’t give their suggested tip (20% and over). They went searching for us after we left the restaurant and found us in next store. The owner started screaming and verbally harassing us about the tip we left and that suggested tip was 20%. Well USA is land of freedom- a freedom to decide if your service and food (including price!) was good enough for the tip. It wasnt. And bottom line it should customers choice to determine if we even want to give any tip. People became reckless with tips which are not mandatory. Spring roles were very small (thumb size). Soup is reasonably good size, fried rice was very good. But expensive for what it is (20$)

Overpriced and poor quality. We ordered basil fried rice and cashew chicken. Both items were very dry and the pineapple used in cashew chicken smelled foul. They also made tip compulsory for online takeout orders through their website. Not sure if it’s bug or intentional.

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants! They have so many good dishes, such as “Duck in Ashland”, “Seafood Tom Yum Noodle Soup”, “Ka-Prao Pork”, “Pad Thai” .., a lot. For drink, Snow White is my favorite. You should come and try, also to support local business Update: The restaurant just added more drink options and the milk tea with boba is seriously good. I’m so happy that we finally have good milk tea and boba in Ashland!!!

UPDATE: Found more delicious dishes at this local spot! We love it! Try anything, it is ALL good! This is one of our regular stops for great Thai food. We especially love the Pad Thai, Tom Yum Soup, and Garlicky Ribs. The Pomegranate Martini is excellent! Prices are reasonable and service is typically quick-although we like to relax and take it slow-which is never a problem. We have tried many of the menu items and each has always been good. The owners are very friendly and always welcome us with a smile. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you have not been there yet.

For takeout we got stale appetizers, decent taste, very over priced ($30 for 6 crab ragoons, 4 small spring rolls, and a large soup), and didn't include utensils. Kinda disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things about Krua Khun Yah Thai Restaurant! (Ashland, Shaws plaza) Everything was fresh and exceptionally made, down to my unusual requests. This was actually one of the best meals of my life. I ordered Pad See You with crispy chicken & special request to add an egg wrap on top (Chef's kiss perfection!!! a server even said I inspired her to try it the same way after her shift tonight). I also got a brown sugar bubble tea with boba and, because I am a menace to society, a shot of Tito's from the bar to make it a boozy boba 😉 All of the servers/staff were so friendly, patient, and helpful, and they even served me fried ice cream on the house because I was celebrating my belated birthday with family. Thank you so much!! Will definitely be back soon... 😍

I have gotten take-out from here a couple times and was still making up my mind on it when I unfortunately had an unpleasant service experience (due to the management, not the cashier or service staff) that will sour my perception of the place if or when I return again. The food itself is fine or pretty good - I like the hot basil rice as a vegetarian option especially. The long annoying story: I ordered takeout in person, then went to the grocery store and came back. There were a couple other people ordering, so the regular cashier who had taken my order was busy. One of the management/owners was there too saw me and asked if that was my order; it was. Then tried to explain to me, in an accusatory tone, the different prices for lunch and dinner. I had made no objection to anything about their prices and had already paid cash when placing the order. At first I thought they were saying I'd been charged the wrong price so I sort of waited for him to get to the point. After him leading me over to the wall menu and pointing at the price, I brought out my receipt and showed him the same price that I'd already paid. (This is where he was especially condescending and insulting: Because the receipt itemized the base curry order and the $3 added protein, I mentioned both items as a way of AGREEING the price I had already paid was the sum he was pointing at on the menu, but he interpreted this as some sort of challenge to his still-unclear point and asked me "okay, what do you get when you add those numbers together." I don't need you to check that I can add 3 to a number, dude. Just say "right, 21 total" or whatever.) I told him, multiple times, "I have no objection to the price", "there's no problem here, why are you bringing this up." Eventually he told me "you said price was 'illegal'", I said I didn't say anything like that, and he STILL kept going. Finally he slowed down enough to actually listen to me telling him I didn't express any problem with the price, he went back to the cashier who immediately told him "no, that was a different guy, I already talked to him about it and we worked it out." So. There was some other customer who had an issue with the lunch vs dinner prices. There was a communication issue where he thought it was me. And that's all fine, until you ignore your customer because you're dead-set on giving a lecture/rant and won't possibly consider you're the one mixed up. From the way he talked to his cashier, I doubt he treats his staff very well either. He was clearly worked up about the whole thing, so a good start to conduct yourself better is CHILL OUT - for god's sake it was a misunderstanding about $3 or something. Even if I had been the one complaining, his condescending and aggressive behavior still would've been inappropriate. If you're not capable or willing to communicate clearly and calmly about these little things, I recommend you let your staff do their jobs; the cashier seemed to have everything handled just fine until the other guy got involved. (People like this often decide to blame the staff for their own behavior; I hope that doesn't happen here.) I was tempted to give this two stars, but ultimately the food is okay and most people there seem competent. Just a frustrating few minutes.

This place is wonderful! The atmosphere is just lovely, fresh, very accessible. It’s a bright and spacious location. The menus have lots of delicious options and themselves are works of art. The silverware is gold! This is simply our new favorite restaurant. The best miso soup I’ve ever had, great spice levels (adjustable) and beautiful food presentation. Everyone is helpful and kind. Such a great establishment!

😠 A lot of infighting within the priests. Very bad experience. Went to do a pooja, paid the necessary fees and waited.
