Web site says they close at 7. Tried to place a pickup order online at 6:25 using a coupon that expires today. The site was "not accepting orders". Call to the location said "number is not accepting calls". Probably an indication that service is not a priority - in any event not a way to launch a new business.

Incredibly friendly service. Surprise find looking for above average burger on way back to the south side. Expectations were exceeded. Highly recommend the Double Diablo burger! The Texas Pecan shake was also fantastic! We will be back!

$24 for a generic black bean burger, small fries, and small drink. It doesn't come with cheese or any toppings, every topping is a $2 charge. It may be worth $8 but definitely not $24! You aren't allowed to take the built burgers and customize them, if you don't like what they have on their menu you have to build your own and it's EXPENSIVE.

Best burgers I've had in two years of living in Newport News/Hampton area. Store is clean and the cooks are nice folks. The food is freaking delicious too!

This place is by far the best burger spot in va beach first time here definitely won’t be my last the food is heaven sent and the staff amd the GM are some of the greatest people I’ve met Lawd this place so good I just had to set there after I was done eating 10/10 for sure

This is one of my favorite places in Hampton roads. Great flavor, always made fresh, the staff is friendly. This fry portion is for the snack. So good size for food. It really makes you want to come back! I’m only sad because they’re only open until 6pm. I wish they could be open later & the prices are a little expensive. About $20 a person, but again everything is made fresh and delicious. So you really get what you pay for!

i thought it was ok. got their keto turkey burger with sweet potato fries and small strawberry shake with added chocolate syrup. to me, its like any other burger joint. nothing special about it except it being super pricey. my whole meal was $26 and it was just those 3 items. would i come back, maybe when my husband comes back from deployment n if he wants to try it out but for the price, i dont think i will. plus, i really wanted to try it out especially since i got braces in, im limited to food n wanted to see how i'd do with burgers or sandwiches. I dont do beef burgers so i would never know how other burgers tastes like but if anyone want to pay that price and try it out, i say do it.

It was great when it first opened. Covid hit and changed so much for businesses and the world. Food still tastes great, but due to costs, this is one of those treat places now. Many can't afford it on a regular anymore. Since covid, they have raised the prices very high. It's now pretty expensive per person to eat in there. It's around $15-$20+ just for your sandwich not counting if you want fries, shake, or anything else. For example, the meat is $10-$12. Bread is no charge. Toppings like cheese ($1-$2) and other specialty stuff like mushrooms, bacon, etc, are additional costs of $1.50 or more. It's $6-$7 to make it a combo for a drink and fries. Don't forget your taxes in there too. It adds up fast. Look at the menu photos to see how it can add up. When they first opened, you'd get over half a tray of fries. The tray to split was the whole tray filled. Now. You barely get a cup of fries on the tray or for the sharing size, it's not even 1/4 of the tray. The food tastes great, but not for the value for your money, I'd visit this if you've got that extra to spend or a special occasion. Edit: 12/2022 - mooyah posted the double cookie cutter comment to contact them. When you reach out, there is no response. It's a waste of time.

Burgers were good, fries were yummy. I had the peach shake but it wasn't very peachy. It was super stuffy in there and on a hot day that's no fun. The gentleman working was super personable and friendly, joking and connecting with customers.

Not a good value…two burgers (double and single), fries, drink and a water was $35. Fries were too salty, soda was flat, and ketchup was watery. Burgers tasted fine, but didn’t taste like a $35 meal. Some unique options with this chain but overall would recommend other options.

Do not go here. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The manager/owner goes in the back, smokes cigarettes, comes back and makes the food and doesn’t wash his hands. The worker that was working had on old gloves, you could see her sweat inside of them; she had them on taking orders and was assisting with making burgers. The toppings (e.g., grilled onions) were old and were kept in the front and used on the burgers and the restaurant had a strange smell. The grill was black and dirty, and the drink machines were out and not carbonated at all… the water didn’t even work; no telling when the last time it was cleaned out. We asked for a refund prior to getting our food and the manager/owner tells us that we can’t get a refund and that’s their policy. We didn’t take the food or even eat the food and he told us that we need to just take the food and go because he wasn’t going to give us our money back. So just letting you know, if you go here and something happens to your food… you won’t get a refund. Business must be that bad that you can’t refund $35 back..

I received my food to go and the burger was fresh but the fries were old. I could tell that they had been cooked a while ago and re-dropped in grease or another method to warm them up.

Sticker shock. It was $40 for 2 meals. I got a single cheese burger and fries. My wife got the Paleo double burger and fries. It's not for me because of the price. My wife loved what she got. My drink tastes like it is old and the fries were really salty and overcooked. Just be prepared for $$$ if you go.

Love me some MOOYAH. Burgers are delicious with lots of options. Good selection for you meat alternatives or gluten issues. Shakes are tasty and fries are amazing.

Vacationing from Ohio we found this gem after going to Bass Pro Shop. Food was excellent and not outrageously priced. The family portion of fries was exactly that, a FAMILY portion. We will definitely be back on our next vacation to Virginia Beach. Well done Mooyah!

Personally, this is the first time I’ve ever been here, and the only downside that I didn’t understand was why this place did not have more people here the food taste Really good service was relatively fast and considering I got a small shake. I was very satisfied overall price point wise to get a normal size burger, fries, and a shake is about $30 so a little pricey but personally it taste a lot better than your regular fast food.

Passed through town on travel and went on a wim to this place based on reviews. The burgers were excellent and had options for folks who have dietary restrictions ie need gluten free bun or lettuce wrap etc. It is a flattop grill that they cook the burgers on so the burgers will have a little crispiness to them sorta like steak n shake. However quality and flavor is better than s.n.s and five guys. Also I like the option to save a little cash is that instead of buying 2 separate order of fries for each person you can just buy 1 larger order of shareable fries. Win win for the pocket book and for the excellent food 🙃

I'd never heard of MOOYAH, but saw them in a strip mall and decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did as the food was fantastic. It's similar to a Five Guys, but the food is much fresher and less greasy. I created my own burger in a lettuce wrap with a side of fries. Everything was cooked to perfection and exactly as I ordered. Staff was friendly and service time was what you'd expect from a made to order burger chain I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town.

We recently moved to the area and hadn't heard of this place until we received a flyer through the mail. We googled it and it had good reviews so we went to check it out. The restaurant was really well decorated and super clean, the staff were super friendly and the burgers were simply delicious. I had the double Diablo burger on. My girlfriend had the keto burger. The average price of a burger alone is quite high ($10-12), but we had a buy one get one free voucher so it worked out at about $6 each. We will definitely be going back to try there other burgers, fries and drinks.

Ordered regular size chocolate shake (16oz?) Good shake but 5.79.?wow! Ordered bacon cheddar burger. ...not so tasty. Bacon was CHRISP and the burger had some flavor,, but i this it was mostly the barbeque sauce.. I just was not thrilled. And 8.67 was too much to ask. Finally the fries were way over cooked. Tasted more like burnt chips than fries. Maybe they were double dipped in the grease... This was a $20.00 lunch for one person. In any event, I won't try this one again.

Had to get out and do a little shopping. This was my first time to MOOYAH. Next visit will be for milkshakes. The restaurant is COVID compliant with friendly staff. The food is pricey but quality doesn't come on a dollar menu.
