First time dining here for brunch and it was great! Started with a side of biscuits which were huge and filling! Shared french toast with strawberry maple, very sweet, syrup and their two egg breakfast which is really enough for two. Chicken sausage was really good though a little "herby". Super service, clean, and in a great remodelled place. Will be back!

The food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is really cool. There is a lot of space. It's an open-air environment with great patio seating for dining. The servers are super-friendly and courteous. The music Playlist was the coolest. There were playing cool early 2000s R&B. Now back to the food. We ordered the Fried Chicken sandwich, Grilled Chicken sandwich, and Braised Short Ribs. Let me tell you that each entree ranks as one of the best I've ever eaten. The quality of the food is A+. The presentation is A+. I will definitely be dining there again.

Place was nice and the staff was kind. Service was a little slow, the restaurant seemed empty for a Saturday but I'm not sure if that was just the time I went or what, so maybe they were short staffed. I didn't mind the service delay as I was there to talk with my friend. The pretzel bites appetizer was great and huge- even sharing it there was a lot. Recommend you get it for 3+ people, or if you want it as your meal. It's also vegetarian. My friend and I got sandwiches. Both had pickles skewered on top, I didn't remember seeing pickles on the description or I would have asked for it without them. My sandwich while good, was falling apart. I couldn't get one bite with everything. Meat read falling out upon arrival, sauce was on one side, so the other side was dry. The onion straws were very crunchy and good. There was a lot of arugula, and the cheese was nicely melted. I would suggest instead of a skewer that did nothing to hold my sandwich together, using a folded paper method and just putting pickles on the side of the plate. The paper would hold the sandwich together. My friend had the spicy sauce on his sandwich rocket out the hole in the bun (made from the skewer) and into his nose on the first bite. I got the cocktail that could be made with mezcal- which is my favorite spirit, and it was fantastic. So good. The restrooms are a little odd to get to, you have to walk down the line and out the back, which is fine, the problem being that the floor between the handoff window and the ice machine was slippery- like greasy slippery. I was fine but could see someone wiping out especially if they're a little drunk and trying to avoid the employees in that area. They need another rug there. As a side note you need to climb stairs to get to this place so if you have bad knees or are disabled you'll have to go to the downstairs bar. Their vegan and vegetarian options are limited, but at least they have some!

Great place to enjoy a great brew! Food's not bad either. Friendly, but nonchalant bartender. Very knowledgeable staff. Beer selection is fantastic! Sit down, have a few and take some home. Very nice family friendly area.

Stopped here for a late lunch after hearing great things about it. Large spacious location, lots of seating options. Staff was very friendly and diverse. My server wasn’t on top of things..some food and drinks that were ordered never came. Because the location was so nice I’m willing to try again!

Came here with a group of friends after a morning of paintball. The beer was very delicious. I got the Untitled art triple dry hopped Hazier IPA, and the food was delicious. I ordered the Firebird sandwich, and my partner got the vagabond. Both were very good and the sweet potato fries were soft crispy and delicious. Priced a little high, but given the area it is what it is! Definitely check out the menu before heading over. Definitely will still come again.

This place is a whole VIBE! I love the ambiance with the hanging bulbs, glass garage doors, and polished concrete floors. Lashanda waited on us and was the FIRST server to take my ID but let me know my old butt need to cut it out!! She looked at it and said, “child please!” My son and I giggled ourselves silly because I have a habit of forcing my ID on people like I’m not almost 40!🤣 The food was great! We took the chicken sliders, the Buffalo Mac n cheese, and a side of fries. The Buffalo Mac was so good, I almost got caught licking the bowl!! Great music, upbeat personnel plus hearing the kitchen workers laughing as they worked seals the deal that this place is the JAM! 10 stars!

Great atmosphere. Food was great, and the service was adequate. We were served by Emma and she okay. The braised Short Rib was very delicious. The fried Green Tomato appetizer was good as well. The margarita, well not the greatest but was just okay.

The wife and I along with a friend stopped in for a couple drinks and some lunch. The side salad was good but the little bowls they come in aren't efficient to eat a salad out of. The Black Bean Patty Melt was delicious. Benita the bar tender was great! Wing Wednesdays, 20% off wing orders. The Capri Sunset beer has become my favorite here.

I ate downstairs for lunch on a Saturday so it was not busy at all. Bartender was awesome and friendly. Food was delicious and I bought some craft beer to take home later. No qualms with anything here. I will be returning here whenever I'm in the area.

This would be a nice place to go for lunch. Not to get all excited in saying.. oh let's go to the boxcar. The menu was okay nothing fancy. It has outdoor and indoor seating; which is great on a nice sunny day because you get the air flowing in. The staff were super nice and informative. The drinks wasn't strong. I had the Peach me. The rest of our party had drinks as well and some got shots since the drinks wasn't strong. I had chicken tenders that came with seasoned fries. Some of the sandwiches were a la carte so you have to add sides to those; which of course is an extra charge. The food came out hot. Our waitress was kind of slow with bringing out checks. I mean we sat there for over 20 minutes waiting. Don't get me wrong I would go again, but just won't be my top 5 places to go. Maybe 6th or 7th place on my list.

First thing, our server Precious was absolutely the best ever and I mean outstanding. Had the Butcher's Bun sandwich, wife had fish & chips, friend had the Hooked on fish sandwich, it's was all fabulous, the drinks are very good, atmosphere fantastic. Great place to hang out.

Boxcar is an all around good vibe. From the staff dancing and singing to the jams we all know and love, the extensive list of signature cocktails and on tap brews, and of course the food. I ordered the recommended Lychee cocktail and the Vagabond sandwich. There was a Short Rib platter that was highly recommended, I’ll be returning for that one. Everything I ordered was delicious and our party had no complaints.

The wife and I stopped in for a couple drinks and some lunch. The server was a little slow with the drinks but the food came out super quick. The chicken sandwiches were a little bland, the French fries were really good and seasoned, the pork rinds were still popping when they hit the table, and the lemon pepper wings were very good with the wet lemon pepper. The side salad was good but the little bowls they come in aren't efficient to eat a salad out of.

Everything was amazing, customer service was 💯 different food options to choose. If you love beer their are a few options to choose from. I order the fried brussel sprouts which was good as a appetizer. I order the gentleman burger which was a sweet a savory taste. Tried the old fashioned which was amazing and some of the IPA. I would recommend to give it a shot.

Went on a Sunday with my partner, wasn’t crazy busy which was great! The hostess wasn’t friendly at all unfortunately bc it’s such a cool spot! We ordered the fried green tomatoes & Korean fire wings (appetizers) and the fish and chips and chicken sandwich (entrees). The server Mirina if (I’m not mistaken) was cool, but I’m sure she put our order in backwards or something. All of our food came out at the same time and our entrees were Luke warm at best. I’m sure the chicken sandwich and fish/chips would have been great if they were hot. What we loved most were the Korean Fire wings and the house made sauces! It’s just the right amount of heat to keep you coming back for more! Not overwhelming spicy, but if you like a little heat… definitely try this flavor! They were saucy, crispy and went well will that delicious dill ranch! I’d return again to try the fish sandwich and the shrimp Niçoise salad.

First time eating here and had a really good brunch with friends. Omar the bartender recommended their signature biscuit and it was quite tasty. The shrimp and grits had an interesting sauce. They used a bloody mary mix for the sauce. It certainly wasn't the roux that I'm accustomed to but I adjusted my taste buds for an interesting experience. I'd try it again. But I will definitely come back to have my own plate of sweet potato fries. The ones that I swiped from my out of town friend's plate were delish.

The subject line would be of this place “Pub/Bar ran perfectly” This place gets the pub/bar/ restaurant award of the year! Soon as I walked in the door the hostess greeted me, people at other tables eating were friendly & food was BUSTIN’!!! You have to try the vegan meatloaf and short ribs!!!!! Delicious! Clint was our amazing server! He was professional, on point with his recommendations ,patient with us because we had a lot of questions on the menu & very friendly! We will defiantly spread the word about this place and return really soon!

Ordered a burger via UberEats. The burger arrived stone cold (despite being delivered in a timely manner) and the meat was basically raw. Utterly disgusting and completely inedible. Never ordering from here again.

I'm not a big beer drinker but they had one of the best Manhattan's, Black Manhattan, that I've ever had. They take reservations but we just sat at the bar after having done the West End Home & Garden Tour. The fish and chips at Boxcar Atlanta are made with fresh, Atlantic cod that is battered and fried to perfection. The fish is flaky and moist on the inside, and the batter is crispy and golden brown on the outside. The chips are also perfectly cooked, and they are served with a generous portion of tartar sauce. Salmon The salmon at Boxcar Atlanta is grilled to perfection and is moist and flavorful with a pesto crust, and the vegetables are cooked to the perfect crispness.

Very lively atmosphere, this is on the side of Beltline on West side, we drop by when we ride bicycles. We never thought this type of restaurants had good vegan foods, but we were wrong! I forgot to take the photo of Vegan Meatloaf” when we first went, but it was great! A bit heavy, so it could be better with chopped onions and carports or something inside or it would be better with smaller meatloaf with bigger side dishes Their Vegan Burgers are awesome! It’s made with beans and beets, and the sauce is tasty. Lastly, their service is very nice, friendly and they take good care of us every time we go!

Had to eat in the Cellar because the main restaurant wasn't open until 4. You have to walk up to the bar or sit at the bar for service. Bartender was great tho (JW) Kitchen was behind and making mistakes. Overall once we got the food it was tasty and the drinks were good. I live in the neighborhood so I'll be back to eat upstairs next time.

Pros: -space is cool & funky (love a cool n funky space) -our server was so kind. It was super busy for a Thursday night but he made sure to update us on drinks/food often -free parking -vegetarian and vegan menu options! -in a great area surrounded by other cool drinking places (if u wanna hop around like we did) Cons: -the meals come a la carte. So no sides. Gotta order those separately. Cheapest one is $4 I believe Things to note: -on a busy night, you will be waiting awhile to get drinks and food What I recommend: -the loaded seasoned fries. Looked like a garbage plate but my god 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 it was delicious -they also had Lord Grey on tap!!! A local sour that I feel like is so hard to find sometimes

I really enjoyed the Vegan Beyond Meatloaf. It had a sweet tomato glaze that complimented it well! The mashed potatoes had a few chunks and the green beans had tons of flavor and spice but a good portion of it seemed to be under cooked, causing me to spit out the hard/stringy parts. Overall, super tasty meal and great service by Calin!

Cool vibe. Sat at the bar and enjoyed the most tastiest vegetarian burger dare I say I've ever had?!?! The service was friendly and upbeat. Staff makes you feel welcome and seems like a real sense of community there. Good times Ps. The burger doesn't come with the fried onions, I specifically requested them as they are great on any burger.😉

This is solely for the number(21) IPA Orpheus Transmigration of Souls. Great 🍺 We ordered shrimp and grits but her order had no shrimp. The manager handled the situation. But, she had to wait for food to be remade while everyone else had their order. Will definitely give them another chance to make five stars.

I went for my girlfriend's birthday party, and she had the private space downstairs. It was nice and spacious. Food and drinks were great! She had her own dj and decoration team. I would definitely go back.

The wings are great here. The service is the best. We had a very large group come in and we are pretty load. They accommodated us right away and they helped us with suggestions to our meal since we were new in town. The burger was juicy and very flavorful. They also have a nice beer selection. The cool part is that towards the back they share space with a distillery so you can alway shop over there after.

If you’re looking for a place that has it all,(good food, great atmosphere, amazing people, etc), this is definitely it!!! I had the pleasure of having a small, intimate celebration for my 53rd birthday and there was no place I wanted to go more than here. Chef LaRose and his staff laid out an amazing spread for me and a few of my friends and we had a ball. Thank you again Chef LaRose for everything. (And I’m not just saying this because you’re my best friend!!!) So, if you’re in the city looking to have an absolute phenomenal time, please stop by and let Chef LaRose and his staff do their thing!!!!

This place was a great surprise! The ambiance suits the young and the not so young. The Hooked on Fish- wich was the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had! I don’t know if it was the avocado sauce or the perfectly seasoned catch. I will definitely be back.
