The duck pond behind is cute. Watch for stray golfballs. There is 2 cute little playgrounds on either side for younger and older kids. Be careful of duck feces at the bigger one that is closer to the pond. The building is beautiful inside and out. They have cool events occasionally when they don't have conferences going on. The playgrounds are both newer (not brand new). Plenty of parking.

Conference Center houses three large conference rooms along with a 615 seat performance theater. As well two outdoor patios and as an art gallery in the upper lobby. Macey Center is also home to the famous NM Tech Performing Arts Series, which presents international touring artists and acts at done of the lowest prices in the state! Macey Center is great for all your event needs! From weddings to business conferences to fairs and workshops. The wonderful staff is ready to help you with all your event planning needs!

My son and I attended a visit to campus to get to know Tech. The presentations were great and the students on campus that we got to talk to proved that this is where my son wants to go to college. His admission process was also super fast.

Great little venue for concerts and other types of performances. Saw Led Zeppelin tribute band Get the Led Out there, wonderful performance, sound in the concert hall was excellent!

Such a great place for live theater. Went from El Paso to Socorro to see Lightwiretheater live. They were fantastic and the theater is the perfect size for them to preform.

Macey is a very nice, small town performance space located on the campus of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. It is the home of the New Mexico Tech Performing Arts Series, and is also used by the university to host classes and lectures. There isn't much reason to go here if one doesn't have a scheduled event.

NM Tech is a great school with a pretty campus. But...it's surrounded by Socorro. Maybe there are nicer parts of town hidden away. But, from what I have seen the few times that I've been there...it's pretty run down.

No in-facility vending/soda machine, public restrooms odiferous, no public wi-fi, older A/V presentation equipment. BUT, the faculty/presenters were outstanding (!!) Wealth of experience and knowledge helped overcome much of this.

Beautiful scenery here at the NMT campus with a nearby golf course, playground, and duck pond with adorable wildlife and lots of fun events at the center. It is quite modern with artwork on display throughout the halls that switches each month and very hospitable staff that always ensure that you enjoy your time there.

New Mexico Tech seems to be a great school. The campus is clean and well maintained. The students seem to enjoy the school. The facilities are top notch. The Macey Center has large rooms and an auditorium. It’s next to a beautiful golf course.

Great performance

Lovely smaller venue at New Mexico Tech. NMT has a great performing arts series hosted here. Blues Brothers Revue was terrific. There's also a Macy Club for patrons who attend frequently. No info on other services at the center.

Very beautiful complex for any conference meetings, and stage performing activities. Beside the building are series of connected ponds with different aquatic fish, crabs, tortoise and breeds of ducks. It very close to the NMT Golf course and a great place to relax.

The Macey Center is very much carpeted. It’s used for many different events such as theater shows and for students taking exams so each seat has a little pull out desk countertop attached to the side of the chair. There is also a steep descending slope which means if you drop anything it most likely ended up at the end of the slope. Overall, the chairs are comfortable but not comfortable enough to rest your arm around your partner. However, it seems like most people do fine with what they can.

Has been newly remodeled in the entrance, variety of shows fair prices to each show.. was there to see my daughter in her performance in the NDI (National Dance Institute) great performance by the children and parents!!! Loved it!!!

Clean, organized, and refreshing. This is a good, as well as the best, place to host large events in Socorro, NM. Located next to a refreshing duck pond provides great natural outdoor beauty. Practice musical spaces located behind the theater also serve as a great place to play instruments, sing, and get the band together.

This is an excellent venue for cultural and entertaining shows at great prices!

There is always shows going on and the auditorium is Soo huge and Beautiful! I recommend everyone to use this place to do shows.

This smaller venue (seating for 800 to 1000) is well laid out and there is not a bad seat in the house. Seating is all general admission but as I stated there is not a bad seat. Unless you join their club for a small fee, there are no snacks or beverages at the venue. Parking is ample and near the entrance.
