Oceans 5 Dive Resort was an amazing place for me to do my PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course with Sander Buis. The facilities are world class with many boats, a couple of swimming pools, an air con huge classroom and a great setting for the course. The boats are just in front of the shop which makes diving very accessible and so close from the training sites. The course was led by Sander himself, I also had the chance to have Joeri van Hal as a second Course Director there. Between them, they have a huge amount of experience throughout the world and one can feel they are very proficient teachers at heart and funny with it! I strongly recommend Oceans 5 Dive Resort as well as the Course Directors to anyone who is serious about being a PADI professional!!

I can highly recommend this PADI diving school! I did my open water course here with my best friend, we had an amazing time. We got lucky and were only two people for one dive instructor (Warren) who took great care of us! If you're motivated you can finish the course in 3 days. If we get a chance we'll be back to continue our PADI education!

Great location, very good equipment and crew

Did a day of scuba diving with these guys today. Three amazing dive sites, and some really lovely guides / dive masters - Dedi was amazing. Cannot recommend this dive centre enough.

My course with Soh Sohari was remarkable. A good mix of banter along with expert knowledge gave me a better diving experience then I could wish for. Special shoutout to the boat drivers and navigators that were really friendly and always willing to lend a hand. If you’re gonna do diving in gili islands I would advice going to Gili Air, it was amazing - 5/5 stars.

My IDC experience at Oceans 5 is nothing short of amazing! Next to all the fun during the course, I felt more than ready to take on the Instructor Examinations. After becoming a PADI Scuba Instructor, I could count on the Oceans 5 team to develop my teaching skills and techniques even further. I became a confident Instructor in no time! Thank you Oceans 5!!

I did my IDC with Oceans 5 in October this year. I had a great time here throughout the whole course. Both course directors, Giny and Joeri, were extremely helpful to me. I definitely learnt how to be a good dive instructor. I would definitely recommend you to do your instructor course with them.

So, my relationship with Oceans5 started 2years ago when I decided to become a dive instructor. I was already living in the Gilis for around 6months, so I knew that Oceans5 was the best choice. Even if I didn't know the people working there, from the begging i felt like home. Everybody was so friendly and ready to help even if they were not involved in the IDC. Sander was my course director and I just have a word to describe him, amazing! He made me not just understand my lack point, the physics, i ended up loving them! After a few lessons, everything looked so much easier! He is a great teacher and he will always find the way to make you understand the theory. They taught me how to be a good instructor and always stick to the Standards. Then, time flies, 2 years passed working as a dive instructor in between Indonesia and the Philippines and I decided to get one step higher, learn more and improve my career. So I went back to do my Staff Instructor Course there, of course. At that time, Joeri and Giny were the ones to teach me a lot more about teaching! That course inspired me to keep on going with my career, get a bit further and who knows, maybe one day become a course director? But they were the ones who inspired me. You can really see how they love what they do, is their passion, and is clearly them who transferred me that love about teaching. The course was amazing, i learned a lot and had so much fun! When it finished i felt that I would do it again and again! Thank you so much Oceans5 for always giving the best of you!

I did my dive master course at oceans5 where I found a great mix of professionalism and a great environment so then I decided to continue my education enrolling for the IDC! Oceans 5 has great facilities: a big classroom where you can be focus at all time and its easy to learn, two big swimming pools where you can prepare your confined session and practice your skills, a well organize and mantained equipment room and great, friendly and professional staff! I learned a lot during my IDC that was very challenging but my Course Director Joeri made me feel always confortable with theory and practical assessments and made my experience unforgettable and the IE was literally "a walk in the park"! Me and my colleagues got really well trained and we had such an amazing time! I will never forget my IDC! Thanks a lot Joeri, Sander, Giny and all the Oceans5 staff!
