We found 3W Dive through stellar reviews on Tripadvisor. So we decided to check it out in person. It was even better than expected! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We took an introduction to scuba first and then continued with the Open Water Diver course to 18m. At every step of the training, our instructor Seb (and Matt on day 1) was supportive and a brilliant teacher. He understood our needs and reservations, but he also wholeheartedly encouraged our progress! He provided us with the confidence and guidance every instructor should, and so much more! We always felt safe and the equipment was kept in excellent condition. The course was fun, challenging and wildly interesting. Both SSI and 3W Dive crew have got us hooked on scuba diving! I absolutely enjoyed Basic Diver course with instructor Irfan. I’m usually quite nervous about diving, but with the way how course was done and approach of instructor - I was absolutely not nervous even in 12 meters deep and managed everything well and was infinitely happy from the experience (not saying how beautiful the underwater place we were diving in!)❤️

Camille is awesome! I got my Open Water certification with her. My 4 days with Camille flew by so quickly. She is very knowledgeable and made sure we were safe while also having fun. I can tell she is very passionate about her job and as well as the environment. She picks up any little trash we found on the dive site. I honestly didn't think I was going to enjoy diving but Camille changed that very early on in our pool session. I loved going to Hans Reef and seeing the turtles as well as all the marine life swimming about. You get to see a lot around the Gili Islands. We did our open water course at 3W Dive Center. The diving center itself is very well organized and has modern equipment and an amazing local boat crew! We started with a pool session and one dive in the ocean and liked the fact, that we could decide after the first day, if we would like to continue or not. As we really enjoyed the first day, we continued and did our open water diver, which was a great decision. The biggest part of our fantastic experience had our diving instructor Ramon. He is extremely competent and friendly and explained everything very well. As it was the first time diving for us, we were a bit nervous and really appreciate Ramon’s attention to safety and support in making us feel safe and less nervous. We could not have wished for a better instructor and can highly recommend Ramon and 3W Dive Center.

Amazing experience completing the open water diving course. Me and my partner booked onto the learn to dive day and loved it so much that we continued on to complete the full course. Our instructor Seb was brilliant every step of the way and made us feel at ease and comfortable in the water. The pool sessions as well as ocean sessions were brilliant at getting used to emergency drills and learning the basics. We got to see so much on our dives, loads of turtles, puffer fish, barracuda and so much more. Turtle heaven was my favourite place, there were so many turtles to see! We booked the Open Water Diver Course in advance online, which was really easy due to the quick responses from the team and the excellent communication between us. Once on the island, we said hello to the team one day before our course was about to start, did all the paperwork and learned about the course schedule. The course itself was absolutely wonderful, our instructor (Matt T., cheers) explained everything without any misunderstandings and was always there for our questions and problems. Already on the first day we had the first oceandive where I felt safe and guided at any time. After the successful ending of the course we spend two more days diving with these guys and the guides we had for the fundives adjusted everything to our skills and confidencelevels, thanks to Herman and Acok! There we have seen from turtels to batfish, trumpetfish and two huge octupus a lot of sea life. After the dive Sam pointed out again some points I can learn to enhance my diving-skills. You can choose your individual diving-plan and they help you whenever you need something. It is an international team and they all always want to make sure that you feel comfortable and that you could enjoy the dive. Apart of this they also give you a briefing (easy to understand but with all the essential aspects). The variety of the diving-spots is great and the diving-instructors have a big knowledge about the underwaterworld and show you plenty of animals and corals. They treat the nature with respect not touching the animals or the corals. My diving instructor was Ridouan. With him I could refresh all my always-forgotten-knowledge (open-water) and after 4 days I felt so confident and empowered that I would like to make the advanced open water diver. He has a lot of patience and is able to see what you still need to learn and gives you helpful advices before, during and after diving. What I also liked a lot is their involvment in coral farming with the NGO “Indo Coral Conservation,” a marine conservation project around the Gili Islands aimed at growing and planting corals back onto the reef. Last but not least I also want to mention Cyral, the general manager of 3D Dive Center which made me feel from the first moment welcome and well-guided in this place. We had a great dive with Carlos 2 weeks ago at 3W Dive. He gave us a detailed dive briefing and we were able to have a really long dive around Gili Trawangan - with a strong drift component at the start. We saw lots of beautiful turtles, as well as Lionfish, Octopii and some new fish species for me! They were very thorough with all the information and options. They answered all our questions with ease by the lovely French owner, Cyril. Really couldn't recommend this place more. I'm a pretty nervous person especially in the sea. But me and my hubby were looking to get our open water for our travels. The weather in Gili Air wasn't amazing so I was really apprehensive about learning here at this time. First went in and met Dan who was really welcoming and knowledgeable about the conditions and put our minds at ease about learning to dive in Gili. We were paired with Camille to take us through our course, she was amazing!! I was nervous about some of the mask excercises, she put me totally at ease and helped build my confidence and I had complete trust in her to keep us safe through our learning. Really couldn't have done it without her. We both passed our open water and its given me a new found confidence in the sea and I'm  excited to see all the amazing creatures that lay below.

My experience with 3W Dive was amazing from start to finish. It was the best thing we did during our stay on Gili Air! I completed the Open Water Diver course and my instructor, Irfan, went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe and enjoyed the diving sessions. I had never dived before so was a little anxious but he was very patient and knowledgable. The small groups and skills sessions in the pool before heading out to the ocean made me feel really confident which allowed me to enjoy the dives more and more each time. The marine life we saw was incredible and I cannot wait to continue diving! The rest of the staff are also super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thank you 3W Team!
